V2 Cloud Pros and Cons
- Data centers span four continents
- Only takes10 clicks to get your server running
- Has team cloud and individual cloud-based options
- API access in higher plans
- Slight lag is noticeable compared to normal desktop
- Sometimes logs users out without notice
I like the easy setup and the several options you have to escalate your setup.
Nothing. It works great, we use it everyday
Centralizing software we use for company with multiple physical locations
V2 team took me through the onboarding process very patiently. The option to access either through a web browser or the V2 app is very convenient for remote work. User interface is fairly intuitive. Multiple admins can be assigned to the account. Chat feature for any issues is great, with usually a few minutes of wait time.
Microsoft Office Suite is not included in the setup, so opening any Excel or Doc files is out of the question.
Had a huge lag issue with previous service (Right Networks) and V2 runs much more smoothly. Main purpose of the cloud network is to host QuickBooks Enterprise.
Ease of transition to V2 cloud and superb accessibility to all my programs and data. All my staff loves it, and I regret not starting with V2 cloud sooner. Customer support is excellent.
Not able to access some of the BC Govt websites, which the support team is working to resolve.
No worries about failing hard drives on our local servers. No need to take back up ourselves every night. Excellent accessibility from anywhere and everywhere. Improved productivity and efficiency.
Dependable, Logs in since first day of use, nice G.U.I clean and clear
Sometimes when I log in it opens a internet browser that is blank, then I have to relogin and it works fine.
We are all able to use a remote computer and share our data within team members quickly and reliably
The full service to setup and implementation. Needed it quick and same day, took 4 hours but was with me all the way. Took care of everything.
None so far. Everything has been great. No problems
I needed reliable WISP plan and remote setup for compliance and reliability and work from anywhere for 2 workers. I had only 24-48 hrs before moving and they market to my specific software needs. Ease of use and quick same day setup. No excuses.
As an IT admin, we are deploying 100s of machines at a time. With V2 cloud, we can spin up a new machine in a couple of minutes and the staff member who has their BYOD will be able to login very quickly. With the cloud machines, I don't have to worry if the staff member is running a Celeron that wouldn't be able to open Outlook, all they need to do is connect via RDP and everything else is handled in the V2 Cloud.
It would be great if there was a template that I could just copy and paste the new machine from.
With BYOD we are dealing with staff members that have all kinds of machines that wouldn't normally be able to run the things we want, like Outlook, SaaS applications etc. V2 makes the process simple.
No more hardware support for my team and the support I need to provide I can do remotely
Haven't found anything at this point, although I would like the ability to print remotely
I no longer depend on a remote connection that requires my office PC to be active.
Easy to setup and scale, good performance and good technical support
They don't have mac machines, i hope they get it in the future
Having a physical machine and having backups for tge machines.
V2 Delivers on what it promises. I needed a solution for this industry software that I use to be able to access it from anywhere, any location. V2 to the Rescue! I love this service! you can put any program you need on it and get to it from anywhere. I love the "app" access" and they give you enough control to troubleshoot on your own before you need to call for back up.
Right now, I don't have any dislikes, it does everything and more that is says it does.
It's solving several problems. I needed a platform that my entire team could access separately. V2 does that. I needed to be able to make sure I could get to it anytime I want. v2 does that.
It's simple to use and simply priced. Im not super tech-savvy and tried setting up a remote desktop using Azure, however I found it hard to figure out the pricing and compute usage I needed and all the options made me worry that I wasn't chosing the right one. V2 has simple pricing and offerings making it easy for a business owner like myself.
Nothing really - I wish there were more locations for hosting I suppose but with India now supported it covers almost all bases.
So I run a consulting firm that is designed to help organizations have a better presence on social media - specifically linkedin. I use some custom software I have had built for me which I need running 24/7 per client in a virtual cloud, V2 allows for the software to be running at all times and almost zero down time and had no problems.
The ease of use and the support! This was one of the most simple systems to adapt to but by far the way the support has jumped in and assisted me was even more valuable.
I can't say there has been anything that I have found to date.
I am a virtual tax and accounting business, V2 has relieved the stress of me losing data and the was of support assisting overseas.
It's user interface is simple and easy to use. Connecting, building and maintaing computers is easy
That it can be slow but that is really how most of these tools are. I also dont like that they switched up their billing - still not bad though
We have an application that I need to work on with a vendor and it needs to be locally installed on a device like remote computer. So we use V2 for this
It is easy to use; I can control everything from the control panel. Also, every time that I had a problem, the chat always tried to solve it. It has been the best tool for my company.
The only think that I dislike is that there is not any warning when you want to increase the size of your primary disk, because you can't size it down later. That is the only thing
I have 3 employees working from home, they are really happy doing their job from their houses. Also I can work from anywhere I want. I tried with others services and I don't like them
Easy to use... Access is fast and reliable and helps us greatly with our customers.
I have not found anything yet that would deter me
Customers now have an affordable solution for their networks, that we as support have full access.
The speed of my virtual machines is good, and configuring them is very easy.
The price could be cheaper, but it's still a good value.
It allows users to work securely on their own computers at home.
Flexibility and Mobility: Remote connections enable users to access their systems or work remotely from any location with an internet connection. This flexibility allows employees to work from home, while traveling, or from satellite offices, increasing productivity and work-life balance.
Unstable or slow internet connections can lead to latency, lag, and intermittent disconnections during remote sessions. Congestion and Network Traffic: High network traffic or congestion on the network can affect the performance of remote connections, causing slowdowns or disconnections.
enable organizations to tap into a global talent pool, allowing them to hire the best candidates regardless of their physical location. This expands the possibilities for collaboration and brings diverse perspectives to the table.
Good price, good support and good service
Some times the srvice has a low speed for connections
V2 Cloud help me solve my problem with remote desktop for my business
V2 Cloud helps us as a company to log into our database quickly and efficiently with none to minimal difficulty. I recommend V2 Cloud to all corporate offices big and small.
There is nothing to dislike about V2 Cloud, as it is very beginner-friendly, and customer support is beneficial and attentive. Although, I will say that it is bland-looking to the artistic eye.
V2 Cloud helps our company input data easier and keep track of information in a user-friendly manner. Our database is easy to use, easy to teach to new employees, and efficient.
It helps my team and me to work much faster than usual, this is great software with so many multiple options available and has given me a great time to show my business progress.
There is nothing that I would say that I dislike about V2 because I am not facing any hindrances in my work, and this software has helped me really well in presenting my role to my team.
My work is to input data from one place to another and V2 remote desktop showed me a much easier way to do that for which I'm truly thankful. Working with this software has been a great journey, and I look forward to working more.
The connections are secure and have a good speed so it makes it very easy to do all the work using less time and no breaking connections. I would really suggest others to use this application.
There is nothing to dislike about the application because it helps me do each kind of work with the same connection speed. I would not want any improvements in this application as it is already perfect.
There are many problems such as IP tracking and letting me do the work in different desktops at the same time which is making me work more efficiently and the business is also getting a boost.
Easy to understand, convenient, efficient, easy to learn. v2 cloud is the most user friendly desktop connection ever. and i recommend it to all my friends.
There is nothing i dislike about v2 cloud. it's just sometimes it's a bit slow.
Easily maintaining loads of information regarding our company.
Totally love the staff availability via chat! Machine setup scallability features I found very useful! Ran out of diskspace, click add diskspace... boom! The Cloud Machines have excellent network performance and very powerfull hardware while still being affordable! Also the dashboard interface features advanced controls like Share View which are very helpful from an admin standpoint.
Team machine plan needs more features for managing mutiple users... Like software deployment manager, advanced permissions, advanced monitoring of resources with historical data per user, etc.
As a small company, getting hardware for employees was a huge struggle, especially for international members. Using V2 Cloud we got rid of that concern! Security concerns were addressed by having our business solutions restricted to access from a closed environment we created in V2 Cloud. We also used GPU intensive apps which were a concern previously as it depended on employee hardware.
Easy for a beginner to use and to follow steps It supports multiple operating systems that gives it a complete edge over its competitors Very user friendly It has options to configure your virtual OS including CPU and GPU
I truly have nothing to dislike it is the best to use so far so good have not yet found no dislike at all it is the best
It solves the problem of using different OS at a time
The ease of setup, and connectivity, and the reliability . Have had no outages or access issues, performance is great, we have multiple computers on a mini cloud based lan that works perfectly for what we need. For our users that dont have apps that are cloud/browser based, this is a great solution to ensure we keep everything secure on corporate level.
No downsides, we like everything about the service.
When we closed our office and moved to cloud based, we had some security concerns and some users that required some 'visit to the desk' type of support. This gives us all the security we need and allows us to easily login to the users desktops and make changes, updates, etc., and they are in a familiar environment of the windows desktop when they are working.
There are several things. 1. Their portal is supper easy to use, and making changes to my client's virtual systems is very simple. 2. Their support team is incredible, and they always seem to respond within minutes. I've yet to have an issue that they couldn't resolve. 3. Costs for Virtual Desktops are very affordable. 4. It has allowed my clients to run my desktop application virtually in the cloud and basically from anywhere. As a software developer, this saved many hours of new development time and allowed me to compete with other companies that have already made considerable investments in developing browser-based apps. 5. The Business plans offers a HIPPA Compliant environment and Daily Backups.
The only thing I don't like is in their V2Cloud client, it has to send me to their website to login, and it would be nice if this could happen within the client. However, it's not much of an inconvenience.
I've been able to eliminate an in-house computer devoted to a particular aspect of my business. Now I don't have to worry about the internet going down, power outages, or making backups. I've also been able to meet the needs of my clients that need to be able to get to their systems remotely.
V2 Cloud is very simple to set up and start using. It took me about 5 minutes from signing up to set up my first server. I like that you can do RDP from your own computer or simple using the web interface to log into your hosted machine.
There is no downside unless you're not technical. In this case, customer support is like one click away in chat and they help you instantly. I think only one time, I had to wait about 5 minutes for support. Online chat support is great since it's 24x7 and US-based.
Problems I'm solving: Having to purchase a physical server, then host it myself. Benefits: Saving a huge amount of money and time from having to get my own physical server. If you add up all the costs associated with a physical server: the server itself, warranty, software, a rack (if you need one), network cables, switch (if you need one), electricity, IT support - you're paying a lot more for that than just simply hosting it at V2. You'll save tons!
V2 cloud is straightforward to use. The connections are stable
The service is affordable; however, the plans have the same storage.
We can work remotely no matter our location, which is great
-Extremely fast in responding to questions, issues etc. - Competitively priced -Great virtual machine performance
I honestly have not found a downside yet.
I need a separate machine for development, testing, and to run some specific business appr for our company. I did not want to purchase another machine and have the headaches of upkeep and desk space requirements etc.
Simplicity, ease of setup, and price. The ability to create a small virtual network and the different system options.
The need to access support to define some networking parameters.
Access by roaming users to static shares without a file stream.
We have a unique need for what we do which often requires a lot of support. V2 has been phenomenal in providing top-tier support around the clock
There maybe a solution for this, but I wish there was a way for us to send remote-controlled commands or get alerts on specific things like if a google chrome window closes, we get a notification on slack as an example.
V2 is allowing us to provide secure services to our clients through each of their virtual instances.
