Latency is decided by geography, not by marketing
Your latency to a broker is mostly a function of physical distance between your VPS and the broker’s trade server. Those servers overwhelmingly live in a handful of named Equinix facilities:

- LD4 — Slough, near London. The main European hub.

So the first thing to establish is not which provider to buy — it’s which datacentre your broker uses. Ask their support directly; most will tell you. A $5 VPS in the right city beats a premium one in the wrong one, every time.

Cloudzy covers New York and London but not Tokyo. If you trade JPY pairs or rely on Asian-session liquidity against a broker in TY3, Singapore and Sydney are the nearest options and they are not the same thing. That’s a genuine gap for one specific trader profile and irrelevant for everyone else.
Neither provider’s marketing tells you whether “New York” means inside NY4 or merely in the metro area, and the difference between those is roughly the difference between 0.3 ms and 5 ms. If you’re running latency-sensitive strategies, ask before buying rather than inferring from a city name on a map.
The Windows licence difference
MT4 and MT5 are Windows applications, so every forex VPS is a Windows VPS — and Windows licensing is where these two diverge most sharply.
Cloudzy’s general VPS pricing states plainly that the Windows option is “trial license or BYOL” — that’s from its own page, not an inference. Third-party reviews of the Forex VPS put the trial at 180 days, though Cloudzy’s forex page itself doesn’t state a duration. Confirm the licence treatment with either provider in writing before you buy. Here’s how to get real numbers for your own setup in about fifteen minutes:
- Ask your broker which datacentre their trade server sits in. Most will tell you: NY4, LD4, TY3 or similar.
- Get the trade server hostname from your MT4/MT5 terminal — it’s in the login dialogue.
