AppMySite Reviews: 4.3/5 — Solid Choice

Gives non developers an opportunity to publish apps on both Android and iphone platform but you still got to be tech savvy at least.

Publishing experience isn't as smooth and simple as I would have probably expected

Was curious to get our site on mobile stores, we're building a membership area, it would eventually help people use it from phone through an app

The best part is the simplicity of taking a website and turning it into a mobile app.

I do believe there can be better customizations as well as the details regarding the updated security parameters with Google and Apple. I had to resubmit my site over 60 times. It was very tedious.

The goal was to create a site with ease that was a direct mirror to my website. Ran into some difficulty in that.

Well after I completed the whole process they advised us to in order toake the app they do not specify that you arr required to have a developer permission from apple which requires an additional payment amd they whole process does not go into to these details and when you call customer service they are obviously never gonna return your money so for me this was a waste pf time

the fact that after being charged and not having been told it does not work with IOS they refused to return the money charged since the app does not offer the service you wanted in the first place, add to this customer service is very rude and does not offer any guidance or alternative options to make the experience more beneficial to a business owner, I for sure will not do any more business with this company and will for sure not recommend to my followers or any business owners I come across I was able to locate a programmer in People per hour that I currently am using for other projects and future projects.

None actually cause more problems than resolving.

I guess I can share some points but it will be misleading. When I used AppMySite it was website just under app.

I love that I can create an app from zero without any coding knowledge

If you have a WordPress site that is prominently about selling goods via WooCommerce, the system makes it really easy to create a good looking app.

If your site isn't all about making sales via WooCommerce then there isn't a great deal that you can do with this app.

I was under the impression that AppMySite would create a useful App with minimal fuss. It does this to an extent provided that you want to heavily push your Woocommerce products. If you have any other goals, then your options are very limited.

I am a newly qualified Life Coach and Yoga and Meditation Teacher. I am a Solopreneur. So, I currently do everything myself. I am very short on time, so I definitely like how easy to use, AppMySite is.

I haven't gone through everything yet, so I will be coming back to this question if needed...

I will be able to launch my own app very soon and reach much more users that way. Get more visibility for sure.

Misleading platform claiming to provide push notifications as a turnkey solution when converting your wordpress website to an app. It's a lie - they can only send push notifications from the platform with no direct link to click through. So, for a developer, the only way to create notifications for your client is to have them relay that info to you and create EVERY NOTIFICATION for them. LOL. What a joke. Support did say that auto notifications would technically work through webview but the main site has to create the push notifications (not a big deal)....and the user can't have the app open...and the user can't be on the app. So what you're saying is that it's not a fully functioning app but you want to charge for it. Kindly asked for a refund but they said no. LOL. It's only $49 but the principle behind it... Never using this service again. Nothing worse than misleading clients.

The connection between the app and the site seems to work well.

This is basically creating a mobile website within an extra frame. I can already create a mobile website myself. I spent a lot of money on this and I can only hope that I am wrong. I will update my review once I get some time to sit down with AppMySite for a longer session. However, suffice to say that on first blush the results were decidedly underwhelming.

Allowing website owners to convert their site into an app is definitely a great thing but this is not benefitting me because it is not doing the job very well.

The App's are ok, slower than I'd like, but some of the slowness is from WordPress not just appmysite. They could do some more caching of data to speed some things up more, but I'm just guessing on that.

They took ideas from people who purchased lifetime deals, and now they want to charge us more for those features vs include them in the product for us who funded their ability to create the product as it is. I could understand if the ideas were things that actually cost money to make available to us, like if there were incurring an actual cost... Like Right-to-left Support, why are you charging extra for that feature? It costs nothing once it is implemented.

It made it possible for me to get my website on the appstore quickly vs having to make my own app. I've actually started working on my own app since appmysite is to limited, and charges for extra features that should not be an extra chrarge.

Not much that can be use, any items that are offered by APPMYSITE are useless unless is directly from the website.

Most things, only good thing is that I can upload to the apple store fairly easy.

Very quick to create apps, depending on the level of information on your site

I really appreciate the number of options this builder has. We've used it to integrate one of our e-commerce sites, which has worked flawlessly. It is straightforward to navigate the backend dashboard, and I have never had such excellent customer service.

Would like to see the builder be able to integrate with other platforms, and not just WordPress. So far that has been my only drawback using AppMySite for our projects.

Their product makes building an Android or iOS app easy and integrates with WooCommerce well. It is seamless to use and overall solves and eliminates the long term development costs that would be associated with a custom app.

This product I dont recommend at all. I tried to use this product to make app publishing easier. You still need to go through all the steps in IOS that apple requires

Everything. I installed the WP plug-in and it kept saying the plug-in wasn't installed so it never synced. Worst experience of my life with a product I bought.

What i liked was the support team tried to always answer the questions, and make the best out of the situation.. it felt the responses are genuine and with care.

What i disliked was the actual product! it just did not work.. too primitive , limited, and lacks customisations . it has very strict way of connecting to sites, which doesn't work if you have multi lingual (or sub domain based) sites. i just couldn't find myself using it for as a proper solution.

unfortunately i couldn't solve the main problem intended which is an easy way to turn sites into mobile apps.

The support. Without a doubt the lack of support is what killed it for us with them in the end. The app was constantly having connection issues and they said it was down to our hosting provider - we ARE the provider and the app was running on a dedicated resource. Further more the fact it took them an average of 5 days to respond to support "tickets" (if at all!) was just not acceptable. They would regularly require you to reload the app to the app stores but wouldn't notify us if there was an update. Even then the automated system to generate the app would regularly fail. It was a massive headache and we ended up abandoning the facility and cut our losses. Will NEVER recommend

I like the concept of building an app through this website.

I like the concept and how everything works, but we have an urgent bug that needs to be fixed inside the source code but the support team has dropped us. We already have 2-3 tickets and nobody is answering at the support team for 2 weeks already. It's a bug on AppMySite end which is causing our whole application to be offline since they don't support non-https:// links at checkout. This is extreme frustrating since we are live with the app already and not one single customer can checkout. A bug this big should be prioritized at the highest but is ignored. Extremely unhappy with this kind of support since we have 2 active subscriptions. If this doesn't get fixed in the next couple of days we are cancelling all our subscriptions.

Building an app without coding.

it's the worst service ever, and they have very bad customer care if you open the ticket, they will replay maybe after a week, or you need to open another ticket to can replay to you, i through my money in vain. They do not support all languages like Romanian, and when i contacted them to add it, they said it takes weeks to add one language! I paid 200$ to upload my App on Google and Apple stores. i have almost two months and they cant upload my app on the Apple store and is rejected almost 5 times

Nothing i lost my client because first, the application not support the Romanian language, the application looked like a browser, not like a real App! And the application is very slow

The only good part is automated followup emails you get.

The app has a glitch, there is no support after 16 days of creating a ticket to get it solved. Ignored after requesting a refund. Had to file a chargeback with credit card company. Terrible service.

Suppose to help create an app - didnt work as advertised making it useless.

Worst app ever seen, unable to see anything on homepage (It's showing blank). Tried to contact chat support but only bot is available and no real person to chat. Also unable to raise any escalation via email . Don't use this app.
