The dashboard home page is very intuitive and offers a great view of the various events, milestones and recent activity of the company from an HR perspective. As a Hiring Manager, I particularly like integration to the recruiting and job posting module - the fact that the mobile app is distinct also helps in efficiently managing daily activities and candidate assessments in a clear way. There are also many standard reports available in a rich graphical rendering; this is very useful from a management perspective. The employee perspective is also very intuitive, allowing for easy PTO requests, form and document processing and e-signatures. The onboarding and offboarding workflow is nicely customizable and easy to follow for the various people and roles involved. From a technical perspective, the availability of a modern complete API allows a straightforward integration to other services, such as capacity planning (arrivals, departures, time off) and financial reporting (turnover).

BambooHR is in general a great SaaS product for managing our company's HR needs. Perhaps some deep complex customizations are slightly more complex to achieve - but this is minor for a business of say, 100s of employees.

Online employee management in a remote work setting. Centralized information source for everything HR related (profiles, vacations, legal documents). The integration to the recruiting and job site also allows for a seamless process between HR personnel and department hiring managers.

it would be helpful to be able to do internal offers for existing employees in a similar manner to those in recruitment facing some challenges in onboarding and forms. things dont seem to work as well on certain browsers... I think most people are completing their orientaiton from their phones

We moved from a paper and spreadsheet system. Bamboo has our improved efficiency and ability to report on HR function. Do they offer jobe description management, because that would be great?

The ability to easily track and analyze applicants

It helps weed through large pools of applicants, and also manage our benefits and payroll.

Everything is easy to find and the site is laid out very intuitively.

There have been some bugs popping up where I cannot clock in or out due to the time being too close to payroll period. It has created some issues with my supervisor needing to regularly go in and make adjustments unnecessarily.

It takes care of payroll well, and is nice to have access to it easily on my phone for more accurate clock in and out times.

BambooHR is definitively designed for young generation of the crowds, it doesn't generate papercheck, which is good because it saves the trees. The interface is very user friendly.

BambooHR helps us on the payroll side of the business, I like their customer service, they're pretty knowledgable and very responsive.

BambooHR is so easy to use and gives the employees freedom to view their information. This program has been crucial to the HR Department's success.

Signature and form tracking is a little complicated. I wish there was an option to pull a more detailed report of incompleted forms. Also, I wish that BambooHR would communicate with QuickBooks Online, so I did not have to double enter employees.

BambooHR has given us the ability to send new hire documents to employees out of state. In the past, obtaining these documents in a timely manner was soley on a very busy GM. As a company with many locations, this feature saved us!

Easy to access documents. And easy to look back at them.

I love uploading PDFs and creating a signature page that I can quickly and easily send out to any of our staff members. I also appreciate how quickly Bamboo Support gets back to me whenever I have an issue.

The least helpful thing about Bamboo is that I cannot pull a report or see the emails sent out from Bamboo to our staff members, either coming from an email alert created by our admin team or automatically sent by Bamboo.

Bamboo helps us stay on track with our onboarding and offboarding processes. We can easily and quickly see where an employee is in the process of onboarding or offboarding as well as easily assign them new tasks at any point.

BambooHR is a software that I enjoy logging into and keeping at a clicks-length throughout the day. It is simple, accurate, effective and accomplishes its job.

Payroll still feels like a different software package with an interface, but it is improving. BambooHR is missing a 'total compensation' feature still.

BambooHR provides a single source for Employee Files, Performance Mgmt, Benefits and Payroll. Our administrators and HR employees are able to save time and trust BambooHR.

Affordability, ease of use, mobile app! Being able to have onboarding completed online and staff able to track time in the mobile app. Has made our HR more efficient and effective. I can spend time on big-picture items. This product is affordable and offers more features than others we researched. The Applicant Tracking has increased our job applications received and allows us to use data to better plan future recruitments. We have a lot of employees who do not have their own designated workspace or computer, so the mobile app allows those employees to access and view important documents.

The payroll add-on is not as high-tech as the HRIS, and other products have offered more. And some items are required by the state with us that we cannot implement through the system.

Communications and posting of job positions has improved, increasing the total number of applications received and better informed communication. We are also able to track all employee information through the system, instead of paper. This also includes electronic signatures which saves time by prompting employees to complete required forms. On-boarding has been improved, so their first day is spent learning and relationship building instead of paperwork. We have seen a big improvement in communication and informed staff.

Single online source for all HR data. Easy to use. Employees love it!

Could use a bit more functionality in the payroll module around paid breaks.

Simple and effective online resource.

BambooHR is an excellent platform for managing personnel files and employee data with several available add-ons for additional features (like payroll, time tracking, performance management, etc.) so you're paying for just what you need and want. The platform is updated regularly and the tools support the latest research in the HR field. Also, the customer service is top notch - they're quick to respond and have always resolved issues and answered questions effectively.

I really have no issues - they just released some upgrades based on user requests that solved my minor complaints (increased customization with performance management and giving employees the ability to mark their own assigned trainings as complete).

BambooHR is streamlining most of the HR processes my team performs and everything is easily accessible in a digital format.

I like how easy Bamboo HR is easy to use. I appreciate the efficiency when using the website. It makes my job a whole lot easier. Compared to other websites, this is the most accessible website to use.

I don't dislike anything about Bamboo HR. The only thing I would critique is the report's section because sometimes it is inaccurate. I don't see any other flaws though Bamboo HR is excellent overall.

Bamboo HR is solving the many issues of the long and harsh process of onboarding new employees. I am way more productive with Bamboo HR. The business performance has gotten better as well.

I like how our company can keep all our employees' records in one platform. Automated onboarding and offboarding tasks streamlines our processes. This is the only HR Platform we have been happy with.

I don't like how you can see all of an employee's time off history on one screen. You have to go into each time off category to see each of the history.

BambooHR saves the administration team and our employees time. Everything we need to know about time off, holidays, benefits, etc. is in one place.

Bamboo HR puts everything you need in one place! So simple to use for both admin and team members. We use all the features -- time clock, payroll, benefits, and more! We track required training hours and store the certificates in the employee file. We have people that now work remotely so having everything in one place on a web-based platform has been a game changer!

I cannot think of any downsides of BambooHR. I would like to see them add a customizable staff scheduling feature, and I'd also like to see more cutomizable access levels. Right now, some things are only allowed for "full admin users," but my situation doesn't warrant full admin user status -- I'd like to be able to give bits and pieces of full admin status to different individuals.

Solving the problem of tracking everything HR! We develop our hiring ads, track applicants and hire from one page. Then they automatically transfer into the HR side for us and seamlessly flow into onboarding. We track onboarding progress and set reminders to ensure everything is completed on time. Employees clock in/out, an administrator approves timesheets, and then I process payroll with all this data in one place and so easy to manage! I cannot say enough good things about having everything in one spot and working so well together!

Bamboo has helped our organization consolidate the hiring process and time reporting process saving us time. What BambooHR has done is incredible.

BambooHR has streamlined our hiring process, having applicants apply directly on BambooHR. It keeps track of applicants and their status in the process of interviewing. We also use it for time reporting and staff seems to like it a lot.

I really like the way BambooHR automates our HRMS needs. From initial on-boarding, to employee management, to performance assessment processes, to everything that we were able to pull out of paper files....It goes on and on. Not hard for a smaller company that does not have full time HR/payroll needs. And if you do have a staffed HR function, they will thank you for making their lives much easier.

There is nothing I dislike about BambooHR. The Bamboo team continues to develop feature and functionality that adds value to the solution. And they do it with fair pricing that is very transparent.

HRMS improvements in general

BambooHR makes it much easier and less time consuming to do most of the administrative work of HR. The reports are super easy to pull, create and manipulate if needed to get the information I need to make informed decisions and presentations. Customization is as easy as a call or email to the support team, and they have always been great to work with. Finally, I also like that BambooHR listens to my feedback and uses it to make changes and updates that are super impactful.

I would love to see full benefits enrollment in BambooHR. Right now there is the ability to track enrollments but employees can't complete the open enrollment process without including pdf documents for signatures, so it's not a great solution for us for that right now.

The Applicant Tracking system is easy to use and posts to many job boards, hiring and onboarding workflows save a number of manual processes. Performance management has also saved us a huge amount of time as we used to do it using paper forms. The ability to bring almost everything in to BambooHR has been a huge time saver and provides greater clarity to the whole team.

We've been using BambooHR since 2013 and we love it! BambooHR gives us excellent tools to organize, manage, and store all of our employee files and manage payroll and benefits. We especially like the ease of communicating with our team members. BambooHR's customer service is stellar!

Once in a while, we encounter some areas in BambooHR that are not easy to change. Fortunately, their customer service is friendly and responsive and can help with any issues.

BambooHR helps us solve all of our documentation requirements for safety and training. Also, the hiring and onboarding components make it simple to review and collaborate with other managers in the hiring process of new employees.

We like how every employee has access to their documents, time off requests and benefits. It is convenient to have a platform that can be viewed by everyone for scheduling. It tracks everything you need to keep in one place like pay raises and reviews . This program has cut down on our paper trail, keeping track of dates off/ milestones etc. it's easy to use and I would highly recommend !

Sometimes you may need something specific which doesn't exist as a setting , like partial access for a manager to reports but not all information. Customer service is amazing however in helping trouble shoot ! I just wish they had weekend hours- as a business owner , much of our work is done on the weekend for the backend things like this .

We mainly got this program to streamline Time off and keeping track of the hours for scheduling and how much employees have and are eligible for . It's a time saver when all admin are working in different locations and we can all see the same things online .

What is NOT to like about this HRIS?! Everything in one spot! Applicant tracking, files, document signatures, communication, personnel everything! Must have!

There are no downsides. Initializing the program is time-consuming but well worth it once up and running. They have welcomed all my suggestions and even implemented some!

Communication is vital when managing applicants and personnel. BambooHR tracks everything and keeps all communication transparent.

BambooHR gives the employees the ability to track the most critical aspects of their jobs, PTO , Benefit Management and timecards-with this transparency is allows them to focus on doing the job at hand and not have to worry about where to find answers to their HR questions.

It would be much easier if we were able to assign various people to supervisors, IE reporting to both their location manager and their "director". I'd also like the ability to build more custom reports.

It condenses all of the HR functions into very easy-to-navigate software. We are able to streamline the hiring and onboarding process, we are saving time in benefit management as well.

May be a bit more customisation in reports can be added in the Reports section as per customer needs. Also, a more customised self-serve model for employees usage.

As an early age start up, Bamboo HR helped us in having the entire employee directory in one place with all documents, policies, leave data & career history. We were able to generate & pull out data insights from the Report section in seconds.

As a company with under 200 employees, BambooHR has everything we need to manage everything in our employee experience. It's especially convenient since we operate in multiple countries. Templates save me so much time and their customer support is top tier.

I wish there were more options when adding information to multiple employees or multiple fields, something that a CSV upload could solve. Additionally, I wish there were more integrations with external employee recognition platforms.

We manage all of our job posts in BambooHR, all communication with candidates, onboarding, recognition, goal setting, HR reporting, and so much more. The biggest problems it solves are time and efficiency.

It's easy to navigate for our users but also as an admin. I can update information on my own profile or for our colleagues with ease. The reports have made finding and filtering information very easy.

The annual leave widget can be confusing as it shows total days remaining (i.e not yet taken) which causes confusion with colleagues who mistake days not taken to days available to take.

Having a one-stop-shop for all things HR makes things easier for both our colleagues and our people team. It integrates with our payroll system and updates quickly.

It's like having an entire HR file cabinet on your laptop. Easy time off requests for staff to complete, annual evaluations, goal setting.
