I like that you can house all of your applicants in one area. You are able to contact the customer support quickly and they are readily available, also they are very friendly. BambooHR also posts to multiple hiring sites for you, which is great.

There have been a few quirks with the applicant questions, but the customer support has seemed to address those. For the most part I haven't found much that I disagree with when it comes to the way things are set up within the system so far and I have used it within multiple agencies that I have worked for.

They have addressed the prescreening questions for me. Currently we have been going through the issues where the candidates are able to skip the screening questions that we have set up for them to answer when they are applying through Indeed or ZipRecruiter. I sent this through to BambooHR customer support and they have been working on this. I have not seen any further complaints from my team. However, we do still get the occassional issue come through from time to time where they skip the questions somehow.

The help section is not always easy to navigate

Guidance with payroll - easy to use, and they take care of payroll-related taxes. Support is always available and their answers are very clear and concise.

It helps me find colleague names, job information, contacts, managers, etc. It's very easy to configure automations and notifications for new hires. It also is very easy to integrate with external softwares, which are proprietary.

I dislike that there are some hard coded fields that are unable to be moved/removed or others added manually, even by contacting the Bamboo HR support, which obviously would be great to have for everyone.

It solves some problems with the termination of employees, by automating some of the company's processes, also greatly helps with minimizing the quantity of paper that we otherwise have previously printed on paper, now we sign them digitally through the Bamboo HR system.

The experience around the features are great.

BambooHR is a great way to engage with employees. It allows you to easily keep track of all your employees information and keep it up to date. Payroll in BambooHR has almost become an afterthought because of its ease of use. Also the support of our BambooHR team has been outstanding.

Only thing that they have yet to acomplish for us is an integration with our ERP system.

We have needed something that will help with our highering process, perfomance management, onboarding, and payroll. BambooHR has made Payroll a breeze. Onboarding is something that we had nothing set up for, BambooHR has made it a focus for us.

Recruitment is much easier, keeping track of roles and candidate is all on one place. Onboarding is just a click of a button.

There is nothing I dislike about Bamboo. They update their system regulary and there are harlyany faults with the system.

Everything can be kept on the system, than having tons and tons of papers to scan and store.

So many things! Having employees HR file all easily accessible, the tasks, reminders, training is all customizable and easy to use.

I wish I could edit a file directly in Bamboo rather than having to delete the old, update it and then upload and configure the signatures again.

Tracking training, licensing, compliance. It frees up my time for other duties.

BambooHR is very organized, it is so helpful to have everything in one spot for employees. One of my favorite things is the helpful customer service, as well as, the FAQ site they have that already has almost every question of mine answered, it has so many useful features. I think it is great how they accept feedback and work to make changes if necessary. I use BambooHR every day, and I haven't used an easier HRIS database to help implement structure into the employee's daily lives. It was very easy for a new user to integrate their information in to and fully grasp.

My least favorite thing is not getting updates on feedback you send over.

Bamboo not only allows Admin professionals to keep track of important information, but it also allows employees to have autonomy over their employee profile.

BambooHR has saved us hours of work handling onboarding new employees and managing PTO. Their customer support team is professional, quick to respond and knowledgeable.

The product lags sometimes, but other than that - I dislike nothing.

Employee onboarding and offboarding, managing PTO

Aside from the easy to use interface, BambooHR supports multiple HR programs and provides a meaningful, flexible and efficient method of managing these pieces. For example, Performance Management and Onboarding. They customer support is very efficient and responsive, answering any questions promptly.

The only suggestion I would have for BambooHR would be to add features relating to job levels, compensation ranges and compa-ratios. Some pieces we have been able to tailor however, embedded fields for this information would be helpful.

BambooHR manages the administrative pieces of employee management from time off policies to performance management, significantly reducing errors and saving time for managers and employees.

The fact that it's one of the easiest platforms to navigate, and you have everything at the click of a button is outstanding. Their customer service is also amazing.

Nothing! It all works perfectly well, and as it should.

It certainly puts everything you need regarding payroll in one place, from time off requests to who's out, to clocking in!!

Having employee files and company files centralized in one location. The reporting features (i.e., turnover, headcount, EEO-1 reporting etc. ) are invaluable. I couldn't imagine gathering all the data required to file an EE0-1 report.

While BambooHR has been a great addition, I've noticed when you attend a Bamboo sponsored events it triggers information sharing with add-on vendors, which I'm not a big fan of. This is more of a suggestion that a dislike, but I wish they would bring back their annual conference. It was a great experience, and the speakers were fabulous. I think it really got everyone excited about Bamboo and created a network betwen users. At the end of the day, BambooHR remains a great system and I would highly recommend.

The notes section in Bamboo is invaluable. In Human Resources, we document all day long, and when senior management has questions, they can pull up the notes. This saves time for everyone.

The user experience for the employee and admin is really friendly. The basics of performance reviews, engagement, 360s and recruiting are all there. Support team is also great, and open enrollment was really easy.

The Performance Review and ATS are good, but not great. A few too many hurdles and structured not in a way that accomodates scale. Its manageable for less than 50 employees, but larger than that, and high volume recruiting it won't hold up.

Time tracking, time off management, general core HR payroll benefits

Hiring tab is awesome - keeps all candidates organized and the Notes section is super helpful. The personal information tab for employees is clear and easy to use. I love the quick snapshot on each profile that shows who the employee reports to, what location they work in, etc.

I wish that they Notes section on the Hiring tab would show ALL notes from the candidate's past applications. BambooHR also does not stop a candidate from re-applying to the same job, even if it's a day or week later. I wish there was at least a 1 month hold. Another downside - in the Training tab, I wish that you can upload a training certificate. Currently we have the employees completing the training tab with all their training details, but then have to go to Documents and upload a certificate. However, since this is a 2-step process, usually 1 of the steps doesn't happen and we have to continually follow up.

The ease of finding employee's personal information, and tracking employee's sick/vacation days. I love how easy it is to see who is off sick, on leave, vacation, personal day, etc. Requesting time off - that function is very easy to use for employees and I love that it will show the manager if the time off conflicts with anyone elses requests.

I love how easy BambooHR was to set up and deploy to our team. I also love giving our employees transparency into the performance goals, time off balances, and beenfits.

There is nothing I can think of that I don't like about BambooHR.

Transparency and communication. Employees feel more empowered when they know their goals, time-off balances and have self-service when it comes to updating their personal information.

The payroll process is very straight forward and easy to use. There are many reports that are very insightful and allow me to get the information I need easily. Also the customer support is amazing! Everytime I call in I have had a wonderful experience.

The journal entry report doesn't break out departments, so if you track department spend (COGS vs. G&A), this report isn't super helpful. But the payroll summary report has all the information needed, it just has to be changed to a JE format.

The reporting fuctionality is amazing.

I love how easy it is to navigate, it trully is so much better than Workday, the number of features and ease of integrating with other apps in our SAAS stack is great. Workday truly is overkill. BambooHR does a great job with their UI and it allows me to frequently use it.

I can't think of any that really stand out.

I like that BambooHR keeps HR documents organized and all in one place. BambooHR is flexible and my team enjoys having information at their fingertips.

Some things in Payroll could use some work. When a salary employee starts or terms mid payroll BambooHR doesn't consider that, the employee will still show with their full salarly until I do the math and change it. It also does not consider raises in the middle of a pay week, manaul math has to be done.

No problems really, their support is readly available when I need help.

Control and access settings aren't always as intuitive as we'd like

I like that I can view my pay details including what's taken out for taxes and my tax forms. I was able to get my W2 directly off of BambooHR which was helpful. I also really like being able to see who is off that day and upcoming company holidays.

I like the tabs for Home, My Info, People, and Files. I wish that they were buttons that could be scrolled over to reveal a drop-down menu that shows all the different pages that can be found in those tabs and that you could select one of those pages from the drop-down menu to immediately be redirected to that page.

I think it solves the problem of complicated input of hours and not knowing exactly how much of my paycheck will be deducted for taxes. Inputting my hours is super easy, and I like that it tells me my total hours for each week and each pay period. I also love that it tells me what percentage of my paycheck is dedcuted for taxes. I've never had that before, and it makes it easy to know exactly what will be on my paycheck.

How customizeable it is, but not in a confusing way.

It is keeping track of all of our employee data, specifically our seasonal staff the come and go frequently. It is also very easy to keep all of our relevant files accessible to employees.

BambooHR puts everything in one place. I now have one platform where I can go to get all the information I need both as the HR Manager and as an employee. My favorite part of BambooHR is the Performance module. We launced that this last review period and I can't believe how much time it has savied me and the managers. We went from a manual review process to everything being automatic. We absolutely love it.

Honestly, there is not much to dislike. Originally we didn't want to use the Performacnce module because we were mot able to customize it to our needs but BambooHR made some changes last year and now I don't know how we lived without it.

BambooHR has saved us from all of the manually work it took to manage HR. I have been working for the same company for over 10 years and the progress that BambooHR has made is amazing. It helps me stay on track, it helps me manage my employees and it takes a lot of the burden off my shouders and gives the power to the manaers to mamage their teams.

UX top notch! Very intuitive/easy to use, solid suite of all the basics needed to effectively manage people

2 biggest issues are doesn't handle vacancies well in org chart which creates some issues with time recording approvals, and no link to SEEK requiring manual upload of candidates
