We are a small company but have just enough employees to make HR busy enough to have too much paperwork would inhibit us. As a Human Resources Department of 1, I've become much more efficient being a paperless department, and it's all thanks to BambooHR for making that a reality. The customer service is excellent. I love being able to chat in to get answers to questions quickly.

I've had some challenges with managing Time Off Balances/Accruals. It seems the system can miscalculate at times, especially when we've made manual adjustments for few individuals.

Being able to go completely paperless!

I really like the simplicity of using Bamboo. I love the vacation tracking. It definitely helps me stay on top of who is out when. I also really like the feature that reminds me of when reviews are due. The easy access and the ap are wonderful.

I don't really have anything negative to say about Bamboo.

It's intuitive, easy to use, and our one stop shop for everything HR. We have onboarded hundreds of employees with Bamboo through the integration with Greenhouse.

The user interface is pretty basic but I actually think that's necessary for a product like this so that employees don't get overwhelmed.

The integration with Greenhouse is super useful so when someone accepts an offer we can easily add them to Bamboo and get them set up for their first day, it saves us lots of manual data input.

Bamboo Hr sets the best example for the software which is being used for HR purposes. It can track progress pay resources etc., very perfectly. It is also providing an efficient dashboard with countless benefits

There is nothing much to dislike in it because it can stand alone to handle the functions that an HR team of two or more people can do less accurately than this software specially when a team is small

It can track payroll bonus progress attendance of the employee. It provides a web app and a mobile app for better feasibility. It is providing reporting job posting etc efficiently

I like the peer and manager reviews that are visible on the platform, you are able to view your profile and the company organogram very well.

The announcement view could use a better design and feedback section

To be honest, nothing. There are always features you wish technology had, but this gets the job done for what we need.

Having the PTO, Goals, and onboarding documents all in one place make it simple to help team members.

I like I'm able to manage my vacation time or any needed time-off from the site and that I'm also able to calculate the accrued time in the future using the calendar.

I don't like you are lacking some of the features on the mobile application. For example, you are not able to see the organigram of the company from it. Other than that, the app is also great.

I can manage my goals ans the goals of my reports from the platform. Also, I hace the ability of asking teammates for assessment for your reports. It's a safe way to get i dividual assessment from your peers.

All of the staff have access to basic employee information. Having the ability to correct their own information.

The least useful thing is the announcements made by HR.

Bamboo HR has been an excellent platform to add to our company. Our employees span a tremendous amount of disciplines from manufacturing, engineering, sales, supply chain, finance, welding, painting, etc... Many HRIS systems I looked at would have been great for one or a couple of those disciplines but Bamboo HR has allowed my team to implement this across all departments and utilize the Performance Review, Payroll, Hiring Portal, Medical Records, eNPS and other benefits so all departments are in sync. I would highly recommend Bamboo HR. Are they perfect, no, but they have great customer support and work on customizing the platform to fit your unique needs. Even if they hadn't given me a gift certificate to write a review, I would have still given Bamboo HR the thumbs up!

The inability to have varying performance review check-ins. As an example, I want my leaders to have 30 day, 90 day formal sit downs with new employees to make sure everyone is on the same page. I would like this to feed into the Performance Management module, but unfortunately I can only set the Performance Management module up for all parties on a 6 or 12 month interval. Now I have to look for a separate system to provide my team with the proper structure. Also a texting app connection would be great for the Hiring portal. There is clearly an email client and the ability to call. But with so many candidates now communicating via text, I would like a way for my team to quickly and easily capture texts that aren't sent on someone's personal or even business cell phone.

See above. We were solely paper based before, so moving to an electronic version was monumental in allowing my HR team access to information at a moment's notice. Also the PTO time off requests are extremely simple and easy to manage.

Variety functionality and customization.

I can't think of anything; if I don't like something, I contact customer service for a workaround or assistance.

Ease of HR function. Less time with paper files. Hiring is much easier; tracking of applicants, open positions, etc.

It is quite easy to use and navigate BambooHR. When training employees, or fellow admins, they tend to grasp it easily.

Since it is a new'er' platform, there are sometimes things within it that are not yet developed. Being a part of the development process is great though!

File storage. Organization. Data tracking. Standardized ways of onboarding. Applicant tracking. You name it!

BambooHR has been a one-stop shop for all of our HRIS needs. We are able to track the employee's lifecycle from beginning to end. The best part is how many integrations BambooHR has. We're able to integrate our other platforms through BambooHR which not only same time but also money.

I wish there was more functionality and ease of customization. It can be a pain to ping support every time we want a custom field added. I would like to see BambooHR update their platform within the next year and make a lot of things simpler to use.

Being able to track training, track an employee's lifecycle, track offer letters, and onboarding tasks.

Bamboo's all in one platform allows great functionality in all the areas that you could want as an HR professional. Managing annual and sick leave, hiring and recruitment and automating onboarding were 3 of the big areas that we really used Bamboo for.

For a small company Bamboo's pricing structure can get limiting if your team is scaling quickly

We used BambooHR to help scale the HR management of our teams. Creating clear lines of communication between team members and their line managers meant we reduced admin time and ensured team members got the support they needed fast while we operated remotely as a company

Bamboo helps me to stay updated on whats happening within the organisation so that i dont miss out on any fun activity or essentail information. It is intergrated to various apps that we use within our organisation such as emails, internal communcation apps, salesforce, IT helpdesk. Thus, it comes in handy incase you are logging in remotely. It helps you to give third party application their own access key and you can share the same with your coworkers. The interface is very easy to navigate and understand if you are a new user.

There is no option for customization of the app. you can not select your preferred color or layout, which I feel is a drawback. The tech support is not quite good, If you have any queries, you won't find a quick response from the customer care team.

It gives me access to the employee directory, provides a lot of information, such as employee ID, Team details, report manager information, contact details which comes very handy especially when you need to coordinate with multiple colleagues for projects. All the essentail documents such training, onboarding files, performance appriasal files can you access quickly via bamboo app.

I like the site is very simple and intuitive to use. You can find easily your paystubs and other coorporate data on it

So far I can't find anything I dislike. I really enjoy my company use this site for HR purposes

As a sales employee at a SaaS company, I need software that efficiently manages my HR documents and Time & Attendance, so I can focus on more important things, like my quota. BambooHR does this. BambooHR offers a centralized, easy way to manage all of this, making my life easier!!

Payroll is typically a separate software that isn't within the BambooHR platform. You have to use two systems for that, which could be a deal-breaker for some companies who want everything in one place.

I'm trying to manage my benefits, HR documents, compliance, and PTO within BambooHR. It's relatively easy to do this and allows me to reference things related to my employment easily.

The User Interface is pretty user friendly and compact 4. It's easier to read about your colleagues' profiles (upcoming birthdays, Work anniversaries, hobbies, etc)

Integration with third-party apps can be a pain because you must rely on their APIs, which necessitate extensive coding.

We've been using BambooHR for the hiring and offboarding process, Employee management, time-off tracking, performance feedback, goal setting, and to some extent payroll integration.

I can view all my vacations or pending days in the year, and as well as see the availability of my colleagues in the calendar

So far I have not found any disadvantage, as a user, I have all the information, I have received documents for the signature

Being able to see my pending days is fabulous and I have better control and thus be able to distribute in the calendar year

Bamboo is a great tool to have all your company information stored, very clean, organized and also very useful and user friendly, it is a great tool to be aware of all the organization changes, hires, even some personal information like birthdays or vacation leaves or also company anniversaries. Amazing tool and very helpful. This tool is the best in its type, it is very recommended to every company.

There is not much to dislike about the tool since it is very user friendly, very clear, very organized, clean, information is accurate, information is always at hand and up to date the tool is amazing, maybe the only down is that is not updated that much but this is more a personal gripe and not something that really affects it.

Mostly information to have a better understanding of the company organization, the workflow the command chain solving structural problems and also sociabilization since you get to know every part of the company with just one click. This tool its impressive and I recommend it to every company that wants to have a better hire process a better information saver also.

BambooHR has made the management of employee time off much more efficient.

BambooHR solves the problem of management alloted and scheduled time off for employees. Additionally, the mobile app helps employees keep in touch outside of the office with a staff directory.

I like the interface and how easy it is to track data and manage all employees. BambooHR is constantly introducing new tools to make the workflow more straightforward, so I would say one of my favorite things is the upgrading of the software, and customer support is also very responsive and kind.

The only thing I dislike and haven't seen a solution for is the customization of email notifications to sort out what notifications are essential for me to read.

BambooHR has helped me with the hiring process and training new employees and have them ready to work as soon as possible. It provides guides and the ability to import any relevant information to the software so the employee can get settled fastly. The tracking time tool has also been very helpful in my workflow and other features such as the reporting of performance of every individual and how it relates to the projects were working on or the goals we're trying to achieve.

Having one system of records that is user-friendly and highly customizable with excellent reports.

We are still implementing and so far I have not found any negatives.

System support for tasks, saving documents for employees in the system, everything seems so easy.

The interface is user-friendly and intuitive, looks nice and inviting. Having so many processes automated that allow for fully electronic work flows is a game-changer for any HR department that has been using paper or a hybrid process. This includes the onboarding flows, time off approval and tracking, compensation flows, and data reporting. The manager and employee self-service aspects saves time and errors. I also really like the ability to use this as a central communication vehicle for employees, almost like an "intranet lite". A way to share news and updates as well as centralized forms and resources.

I found that I still needed a separate ATS in order to get the functionality and features I wanted. I also had not completely figure out if I could use Bamboo HR effectively to manage and track the continuous feedback and development conversations necessary throughout the year in a high growth, matrixed, dynamic environment.

With teams in the US, India, and the UK, I needed a centralized HRIS that would allow me to analyze data from across all locations. It also solved for the inefficiencies of paper based processes, getting approvals, and keeping stakeholders on the same page. Bamboo HR eliminated nearly all of the friction in those processes. I was also looking to solve for the speed of communication. As we scaled the organization, it became harder to keep everyone up to date with all of the initiatives and customer acquisitions that would allow for better preparation of all departments. Bamboo HR took care of that by providing a vehicle for announcements of new customers, or announcing when customers were in the office so those functions that needed to interface with them were not caught unaware. Those are just a few examples of how Bamboo HR helped us run the business and not just provided us with an HRIS.

Everything is connected in just one place, and reports are helpful.

Payroll is not available for Puerto Rico, even when we are part of the US. Accounts in Puerto Rico are growing for BambooHR, and more companies are using it. I would love to have everything in just one place.

No problems at all (aside from the payroll). Some of the benefits are a LOT of free time before spent in manual work and spreadsheets. I love the signature set up feature.

BambooHR was selling and implementing smoothly and BambooHR personnel are so experienced and supportive. With publishing, reading summaries and receipt of papers, BambooHR has already saved us time. Our workers enjoy everything in one position and therefore can quickly see who's inside and outside the building! I would want to simplify staff implementation and hrms.

The module Output is fantastic but wants to be able to ask an another few items than just three. I understand a simpler organizational performance is easier and we've had some more criteria for an annual review which are not included in the section.

We now simplify our recruitment process and therefore will eventually digitize all our staff files that are of great benefit to our people. In finding all the specifics of people management, BambooHR saves me even more time and resources.
