It's a boon for the employer as well as the employee and creates a well regulated and transparent environment between the two.

It took a lot of time to onboard Carta as a vendor and we had to engage a small team around ESOPs from our side but that was not a major problem and I think it is the process for every company.

Helps me view my ESOPs details - how much awarded, how much vested, related certificates, strike price, etc.

I like how user firenedly Carta is and the cap table management.

I dislike that Carta it is really expensive.

Carta is providing us with a cap table management solution for our shareholders so that eveyrne can go on and see thier holdings on an individual basis.

I like that it integrates with our HRIS system Rippling. This makes it easy to keep track of stock for our employees and they enjoy being able to see everything in one place.

I currently do not have any dislikes regarding Carta.

The support. The support continued throughout the entire process. I had an amazing experience. The entire onboarding team went above and beyond to ensure a seamless onboarding.

I a yet to find anything that I dislike.

Simplifying equit management for my startup

Pretty intuitive, new (valuable) features constantly getting added, and 409a valuations included.

I wish it was easier to modify standard docs (though it is better now than a year ago).

Carta is one of the essential tools for any startup to be able to manage your cap table, investor relationships, and employee stock options.

I wish the calculator for projected future rounds was more sophisticated and allowed you to plug in warrants and other vehicles.

It solves cap table management in all areas.

The Carta platform and Carta representatives have been a pleasure to work with. The Platform is user friendly. Brianna has always been very responsive to all my questions when using Carta.

I can say there are any downsides to using Carta.

Carta handles all of our Stock Option management and our 409A reporting.

Carta is an all in one solution for equity management and reporting. The platform is easy to use and meets all of our needs.

There aren't any downsides other than pricing for smaller companies is high.

Carta tells our investors that we are organized and professional.

Tasks aren't always super intuitive (to me at least). That said, the online help and help from people at Carta always answer my questions quickly.

Carta took a big pain point away from me. I used to track everything in Excel, which took a ton of time and was less credible than a 3rd party managing it.

We use Carta as both our admin and for our holding co (and as a user invested in the Funds). Technology is great - the only admin in the VC space IMHO! Staff and service are great - always knowledgable and efficient.

No downsides unless you don't want to embrace technology and prefer an old-school admin system

Carta is great. Its not great when the data is input incorrectly but Carta does a good job educating users. The data warnings could be better if they differentiated between critical and not critical warnings.

I have received a lot of benefits from the software by using the stock options and equity accounting and disclosures. The results give management and our auditor's confidence in the accounting.

I like to have the information at my fingertips, whether via reports or drilling down in individual sections.

It takes some knowledge you might not have on the top of your head in order to set it up, but after that it's gravy.

Carta primarily helps me track rounds and investors and also value options.

The ability to review one's equity grants, the price and vesting schedule. The information is set out straight forward and you can look at each grant and its vesting easily.

There really isn't anything I don't like. The additional features added have resolved my dislikes.

The learn the basics of equity is awesome, as it allowed me to direct employees to a creditable site to gain information and thereby freeing up my time.

The ease of use from setting up my SAFE to understanding the waterfall for my business. I love Carta email followups with the investors letting me be the good guy.

Occasionally hard to find resources as their helpful articles are not always on their software site.

Carta allows my company stock options and investors to be on one site and, I can see additional investments I make in other companies on the site as well. Saves me money and time the one thing a founder never has enough of.

Carta is awesome!!! As an employee at a startup, Carta allows me to easily view and exercise my stock options and even transfer funds to pay for my shares when I exercise right through their platform! The UX is super simple and easy to use. They also have a great resource and help center, and their chat support is awesome if you get stuck. I LOVE getting my monthly vesting notifications with the confetti celebration from them. I just recently exercised some stock options and did the entire thing from my phone - money transfer and all! Super simple and easy!!! Another amazing new feature I saw that was just announced was that can now file your 83b elections electronically through Carta --- This is game-changing!!! Super excited about this! From an investor's perspective, I honestly cringe when I make an investment in a company and they are not set up on Carta. Carta makes it so simple and easy to accept my shares on their platform as an investor and I love having everything in one place where I can easily manage it all. They make the entire process extremely easy on investors and the companies issuing the shares. As a founder, I love the free Carta launch plan! It is free for companies that have raised $1M or less and makes it easy to impress potential investors by modeling out your potential funding rounds, etc. It also makes it super easy to issue SAFEs and they have a pre-money SAFE template you can use. Their new compensation benchmarking tools are amazing as well to help out as well! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

I honestly can't think of much I dislike about Carta. They work with so many startup companies - perhaps they could provide more resources for founders on suggestions for how to save more money for bootstrapping founders -- recommendations for other products and services that help out founders.

Carta makes managing equity easy for founders and their employees. It also makes it some much easier for employees to understand the benefits of receiving equity from the companies they work for. With Carta, it is easy to issue new shares or stock options, and Carta automatically updates the company's cap table every time new shares are issued. Carta also has different tools for founders like SAFEs, Carta total comp for compensation that is really helpful in helping you come up with a compensation strategy for a team. As an investor, Carta makes it so simple to manage my different investments. I wish every company I invested in used Carta -- It should be a requirement!!! :)
