It's a boon for the employer as well as the employee and creates a well regulated and transparent environment between the two.
It took a lot of time to onboard Carta as a vendor and we had to engage a small team around ESOPs from our side but that was not a major problem and I think it is the process for every company.
Helps me view my ESOPs details - how much awarded, how much vested, related certificates, strike price, etc.
I like how user firenedly Carta is and the cap table management.
I dislike that Carta it is really expensive.
Carta is providing us with a cap table management solution for our shareholders so that eveyrne can go on and see thier holdings on an individual basis.
I like that it integrates with our HRIS system Rippling. This makes it easy to keep track of stock for our employees and they enjoy being able to see everything in one place.
I currently do not have any dislikes regarding Carta.
Carta allows for us to accurately track stock for our employees.
The fact I can run a cap table so simply at a given date and have all the customisation I need to generate the results that are needed. Also I like the vesting charts which make explaining EMI easier when talking to non-experts.
Some of the setting feel hidden in the UI but once you know where everything is it isn't too much of a hinderance.
It really helps to maintain an accurate cap table and allow admins who own different areas to make the changes they need but keep everyone else up. It helps answer queries from stakeholders quickly and effectively
They automate a lot of the more ministerial services that I manually perform for my clients at great expense.
For early stage companies, it's expensive. Some of my clients have a lot of stakeholders.
Just having accurate records is a major benefit. Consistent and verifiable stakeholder communications is another. Plus, we''ve used the data room capability and, of course, their 409A valuation service.
The support. The support continued throughout the entire process. I had an amazing experience. The entire onboarding team went above and beyond to ensure a seamless onboarding.
I a yet to find anything that I dislike.
Simplifying equit management for my startup
Great platform for keeping track of Company shareholders
Don't have any dislikes about the Carta website
Being able to communicate their equity holdings of all of our shareholders (over 100)
I like that all of the sharholder information nis in one place - it really helps us to communicate to the interested parties.
I would like to see an easy way to calculate "what-if" scenarios
Communicating shareholder equity and issuing share options
Strong tool for cap table, option grants and equity plan management and liquidity transactions.
Chat function is not usually helpful for questions I have.
Effective management of cap table and equity grant info.
Pretty intuitive, new (valuable) features constantly getting added, and 409a valuations included.
I wish it was easier to modify standard docs (though it is better now than a year ago).
Valuations, single source for equity docs and cap table.
