Confluence's ease of use is one of the major reason why we use it for knowledge management in my company and this is among the things I like best about it. The confluence platform comes with easy navigation , which makes it very intuitive for creating , sharing and organizing important team notes. I like how Confluence offers multiple layers of security and access control to ensure that only authorized parties have access to information we share on the platform, which are sometimes sensitive.
While I have encountered external teams we collaborate with, who have attempted using Confluence for project management purposes, my team's use of Confluence is restricted to knowledge management only. As far as our use of Confluence for knowledge management is concerned , I have had a satisfactory experience with it.
Confluence is currently used within my department, as a central repository where important information related to the day to day functioning of my department is saved. Having access to an easy to access centralized repository where important informational resources are stored, eliminates the need to search through disorganized files and emails, to find relevant documents on a daily basis. Thus, Confluence saves us time and reduces the chances for errors as far as locating vital files needed to function within my department is concerned.
it makes gathering and ordering info and docs easier for the project to proceed , and it is used day by day
so far i didn't have any issue with it , so far so good
in any project different people work on differen stuff , confluence makes it easy to share knowledge between team members
Confluence comes with excellent built-in document management features that empowers my team to save , structure, and distribute documents from a centralized location. This convenience allows members of my team to access vital project information and documentation whenever it is required, thereby connecting our daily workflow to our internal collaboration processes.
Few professionals that I have interacted with, they faced challenges with using Confluence because their teams tried using Confluence as a project management software , even though it primarily functions as a collaborative and documentation hub, that should be integrated with a standard project management software.
Used primarily as a collaboration and documentation tool , Confluence facilitates teamwork and the sharing of knowledge within my organization. We use it to document project plans, keep track of project-related information, and collaborate on various aspects of team and departmental projects.
It's a very useful tool for writing documentation for all projects within an Organisation. Moreover, one can add comments on a particular Confluence page. It is great for keeping all documents at one place for everyone to reference,
Navigation and searches can be made a bit more robust and accurate. Sometimes, after searching for a particular keyword, the page seems stuck.
Handy tool for documentation and agile workflow. The page versioning and history features are the icings on the cake. It also allows collaboration features for different team members working on the same project.
Easy to integrate with other Software and websites making it easier to access with one click to the right page, reduce the time of screeching and look for some details.
Some of the pages reload a lot and take time especially if they have some videos dispute a faster inter in use. - The access and permissions are not optimized and secure to a great level, making it easier for any members to edit and delete some data and pages.
Reducing the error and critical mistakes in providing wrong information and links etc, with the new feature and easy access to the shortcut feature, Highlighting updates and promotion info in the shortcut helps the members and company relationships with the customer.
It helps me efficiently store and track files for the projects of the team
Nothing for now. The experience has been great so far for my team.
It helps me save all the knowledge base of my product at one place so that everyone in my organization can access the repository without much hassle.
There so much to praise Confluence for. First is how it bring us together to one common work space giving us the best space for us to work cohesively together and collaborate as a team. There are well and simply formulated self-support articles which make it easy for us to understand how we can maximize our use of the available functions. Again, Confluence always keep all our information and data safe and secure by use of enterprise-grade security features such as encryptions to keep off security threats. Using Confluence to keep our information in a central workspace has been a big boost towards streamlining how we go about with our day to day activities and other big projects. With everything there, it becomes easy to make sure we remain committed to the right direction and we never loose our focus on the things that really matters.
Perfect might be rare but for me i believe i have seen perfection in Confluence. My entire journey using this tool has been nothing short of remarkable and magical.
We found a safe workspace in Confluence which allows us to come together and collaborate effectively on our projects and other tasks within our organization. Confluence has played an important role in our organization by helping us connect everything and everyone so has to have a common goal line and point of focus. This has really transformed the wat things are done helping gain an upper hand in terms efficiency, conveniency and productiveness.
We used Confluence internally. It's helpful to find projects or FAQs. We use Confluence also for project handover summaries especially if there's someone who is going to have a long leave.
No really a dislike but user interface could be updated or something? Confluence is a great app actually and aside from the UI, I don't think there's something I dislike about it.
FAQs and we easily find them with Confluence.
We've been using confluence for as long as I remember. There is no platform that allows to create an internal wiki better than confluence. The long lasting reputation and quality from atlassian never let us down.
We used confluence server for a long while before we made the call to move to cloud. Due to reasons likely of our own the server version was never 'fast enough', however if done properly it can be a very powerful tool. Cloud version is definitely better when it comes to managability and speed.
We document every process, app, service, vendor, and many more using confluence. It is essential not only to our tech team but also the entire org with everyone documenting all sorts of things relevant to their departmnets.
I like the useful and quite handy interface and the amount of help and FAQ information on the online forums and resources. The interface is more intuitive than with the similar software platforms, such as Bitrix24 or Notion.
CVE-2021-26084 vulnerability found in Atlassian Confluence was quite disappointing, but as it is already fixed - nothing to worry about. I would like to see improvements in security and maybe provide results of international & trustworthy pentesting labs to see that everything is fine now.
We have used Confluence as a platform for changing the project ideas and information within the project teams. Perhaps, if we had used more applications from the same vendor, except Jira and Confluence - the overall usability of this combination will be even higher.
- Create documentation for project planning - Minutes of meeting - Solution design documents - Ready made templates for varitety of business use cases - Attach videos, audio, pdf, word, excel
No dislikes from me. Absolutely recommend confluence.
Knowledge base and documentation repository
I like many things about Confluence, but I personally love the Documentation tools. You have many ways of customising texts and adding media to them, which makes it really easy to do a beautiful-looking and well-organised Wiki for any IT project. In addition to the text customisation, you can very easily create sections and subsections for all the documentation. Confluence also integrates amazingly well with the rest of Atlassian ecosystem so, for example, you can link without any effort Jira tasks into the documentation and viceversa.
I must admit that, for the use I make of Confluence, there is nothing I dislike. I only use the Documentation feature in my team, and in my honest opinion it has everything one could think of and want.
Thanks to Confluence we are able to create all the documentation our project needs, which allows to easily integrate new people to the team. All the technical data about the project is stored in Confluence, as well as simple tutorials for newcomers.
Ease of project planning, project editing, multiple notes, task assignments, and accelerated feedback loop are some of the best features
Little complicated for first timers but with time things gets easier
Helping me in project management, task management, and most importantly daily documentation with pre-designed templates. Page versioning and rich text editor are just awesome.
The most helpful thing about Confluence is the simplicity of use, it works exactly like office tools but with extra features. The benefit of using Confluence is that everyone in my organization can collaborate without trouble in our documents.
I dislike that i can´t link my articles to external collaborators without giving them licences and rise the cost for my organization. We need a feature that allows to share everything externally.
It helps building our documentation and acting like a source of truth so everyone on my team is up to date with every change or task that needs attetion. It also helped reducing our costs by allowing to leave Office tools behind.
rIt is great for training purposes and to keep all information in one place
The only thing that bothers me is that there seems to be a glitch when using table of contents; you click to a section and it doesn't take you exactly where it begins
My company has a lot of very specific processes that require employees to be well educated on them. Confluence serves as our database for any questions regarding workflow
Ease of use. Time needed to create new content is satisfying.
Could have more modern design. But it is still very clear to use.
It allows to keep all needed information about work, workflow, etc. in one place.
Confluence helps us document all our marketing , sales and customer success processes under one roof which every from the team can access and provide insights on.It has really helped our collaboration efforts.
At the moment, i dont believe there is anything to dislike about confluence but sometimes formatting tables on confluence can be difficult and frustrating . Its a great tool nonetheless.
Confluence has helped us bridge the gap between different teams and has provided us a platform to collaborate and share comments. It has also helped us find all the important documents under one roof.
The confluence is like a book that you can easily navigate.
Nothing really. SInce all through out it's been a big help for us. Most special when training days.
When training days, it is so helpful for us to open it like any other book but more convinient.
Its cloud based and really easy to use once you get to know its little quirks, much easier than managing and intranet, and great for collaboration with in teams and department and easily links to other systems
Some integrations with 3rd party apps could be better where the app is really good but the confleunce backend doestn full make use of them. Also offline back ups or a contingency for running the cloud based system locally for the purpose of disater recovery or where downtime could mean no access to our data.
We use it for more than a knowledge base and more as an internal document intranet and it links to Jira for the service and change control side of things, It makes for easy documentation for ISO 9001 and team related documentation along with apporval of official release documents.
It’s the best one-stop place to store, share and access data and knowledge related to a project or work. It aids in collaboration with other colleagues, makes it easy to edit information, integrates with jira data and can create informative graphical data to represent all data neatly.
I have often seen it get prolonged to access project-related information; apart from this, I do not find any issues with confluence. A great too in fact
A good place to store and access project-related information Best collaboration tool for project mates can create graphically data
Sharing files with other staff and customers is easy.
Hard to know how it works the first time.
It benefits because we no longer have to send files by e-mail for projects. All the file management and sharing is there.
The best part is Content Organization and Structure. And powerful search and Discoverability. It offers a robust search functionality, allowing users to quickly find the information they need.
Formatting content in Confluence, especially when dealing with complex layouts or tables, can sometimes be challenging. It will be easier if they provide a wide range of formatting options.
Confluence facilitates seamless collaboration among team members. Multiple users can work on the same page simultaneously, making it easy to co-author documents, share ideas, and provide feedback in real-time. It promotes teamwork and improves overall productivity.
What I like most in using Conflunce is that, it can help us follow the proper procedure and process at the same time. It can also bookmark the page that you frequently using.
As of now, there is no downside using Confluence
Confluence shows us what we need to learn and what we need to follow in terms of the process. It can also bookmark your frequently using page to easily access the data.
What I like about Confluence is that it makes easy for us concierge to look for the topics that we want to check most specially when we are having trouble assisting our guests. It is very easy to search for the topics that we want to re-read and base.
What I dislike about Confluence is that sometimes, it takes time for the information to load and show up. I am not sure if it is the Confluence itself or our internet connection.
Confluence helps us a lot in reading all of the necessary topics that we want to read, what we need to use and what we need to watch. It is very easy for us to learn all of the knowledge that we need to tackle.
I like how customizable Confluence pages are and how easy it is to edit them. You can add images, tables, hyperlinks, videos, and much more. This makes documentation an easy process that's very beneficial for your entire team.
Honestly, there isn't anything I dislike about Confluence. I've had a positive experience each time I've used it.
We use confluence to document the processes our team routinely utilizes. Our Confluence pages help new team members get up to speed on our workflow and help more seasoned team members refresh on topics they don't necessarily use every day.
I like how the spaces are categorized. There is a search function per space; if I can't find the article I need, I can also use the primary search function in the upper right corner of the page. I also like that we can leave some comments on the articles. The date on each article on when it was made, modified/updated, helpful for me.
Sometimes searching is problematic as it shows a lot of results. Navigating through the spaces is sometimes challenging because it does not open right away. Internet connection might be at play. Overall it is a beneficial tool.
Our client mainly uses it as our knowledge base, where we search all the articles we need to follow to help us in every scenario we assist. It helps as it is a one-stop shop for all the guides and articles.
I like how Confluence shows the last update or change made with one article or policy implemented. Confluence helps our organization be on the same page on a day-to-day basis. I like how it allows us to bookmark the most helpful and most used knowledge base we use in our everyday lives.
I don't like that you cannot search for the same knowledge base you need using just one keyword. If you enter one or two words, multiple results are shown. Even the article you will not use shows if it detects the keyword you added. It can be a bit slow and unresponsive at times.
Confluence helps our everyday work to be more efficient. Instead of you personally asking about the issue you are handling during work time, confluence serves as your best friend, providing you with the same calibrated information and process that needs to be followed and done.
The indefinite idea and use of this platform for collaboration. The ease of storing and documenting information from meeting minutes to personal experience. The dynamic nature of the knowledge sharing app is amazing!
There should be more examples and interactive stuff going on. The integration with other apps or something more advanced and innovative. But that is the expectation I keep seeing the diversity of the platform.
The one stop solution for all the knowledge and information regarding the project. From error reports to the steps for debugging a certain scenario. From Pi planning to implementation planning, it is helping the project in a lot of ways.
Confluence is a distinctive knowledge-based tool. It is really easy to use, provides all the necessary details, and helps me follow the proper steps in a workflow that is essential for my job. Regardless of the nature of the customer inquiries, I see Confluence as both my guide and my savior. With a few key words and mouse clicks, all the information may be found instantly.
I had never used this tool before I joined the organization, so it was challenging for me to quickly get used to it. Additionally, new members may find the UI to be a little perplexing.
It provides me with access to all of the articles I need for my regular duties as a customer support. You will be able to view numerous articles simultaneously with just one keyword.
What I like the most on this app is easy to find topics which I really need for every topic that needs to be discussed. can be easily bookmarked and in just a short span of secs, you will be avail to locate what you are looking
As far as experience is concern, I don't find anything bad on using this app. I guess what I can suggest is the color of the app if it can be more lively as how it looks like
the easy way I can find any topics that I have to check with as for me
