We use it to have the same documentation on procedures all in one place. It’s really helpful for a comprehensive place to keep it all.
Sometimes I have to clear my cookies and log back in if I leave it open for too long.
We are creating consistency within our organization, which satisfies our customers better. I have realized that it’s so helpful to have documents in one comprehensive place for everyone to access.
we use confluence for landing pages for different customers. Rather than wait for the web design team to update pages, we control the content. We can update any time as needed. And, anyone on the team can make updates.
I don't see a downside to this. We can add links, attach documents, insert graphics; we can basically use this platform to provide all of the onboarding information that customers need. I also don't know of a peer platform that offers this same functionality.
The main problem was updating landing pages. We had to send requests to web team, wait for them to review and them update. Instead, we can update our own content at our convenience. This allows us to keep the content updated, and allows us to quickly respond to customer feedback.
I like how easy it is to use, share, modify. Great integration with JIRA and other tools.
No good revision control. Equations support is not present. Wish it would automatically allow LaTeX code.
Documentation, training, communication. Makes onboarding easier.
i like it very posting all the notes from all different meetings.
the links posting is a little messy. it’s not clear on the priority on posting.
It has good for all the notes storing.
Confluence is a very good documentation management tool. What I like the most is having all the information gathered and the possibility of creating documentation trees to make it more related and more easily accessible. Also, since they made the integration with Jira, it is much more useful to be able to relate Jira's issues with the documentation that is believed appropriate in confluence
What I consider worse is when it comes to making diagrams, it gives you the possibility, but it has many shortcomings and it takes a lot to leave it fairly well.
I have used it for almost all my work experience for project documentation. It helps a lot to relate the documentation and you get great benefits of time by avoiding a lot of time transmitting knowledge to the members of your team
I like that it has helped my project management and collaboration to be more seamless so that we can keep all of our projects in one place and communicate in the same location
I do not like that people who are coming from outside of my company to work on the project it is more difficult to share with them and keep them solely on that one channel for the project they are collaborating on
Easier to work together as a team and get our projects completed regardless of location of all of the team members
Easy to learn, well organized, good for storing a lot of content
Not straightforward to grant access / share content with colleagues
Creating, storing, and sharing content with team members without using a publicly accessible space
Integration with JIRA, where we manage our work. Easy-to-use place for central management of documents for policy, standards, process, projects, and work details.
Tables are clumsy - there is a plug-in we could license to make tables better, but should be part of core function.
Central management of documents for policy, standards, process, projects, and work details. Makes it possible for us to drive documentation as part of the process as stories are closed.
That we were able to design our own webpage or interactive website for end users to use.
there could be better functions such as being able to make it more like a whiteboard to draw on etc.
Benefits would be able to connect with other departments, this allows us to interact with one another - greater communication
This software is flexible and allows us to create different schedules and notes for organizing every new project in the company. Also, its chat is great for communications between team members.
Maybe the price per members that can participate.
We solved problems like organizing meetings. New project with visitors or task that has to be done in a certain period of time.
It's very easy to use for people who are familiar with Wikipedia. People can create, modify pages as well as the relationship between different pages. Very convenient for teams that want to have a shared documentation.
Every time there is an update on the certain pages (the pages that are related with you), I would receive an email notifying about it, which could be kind of annoying sometimes. But I believe there is some way to have the settings to get rid of these notifications.
Confluence is really a good tool for team collaboration. With Confluence, teams can create, modify shared documentations as they want. People from other teams or departments can also refer to these pages to gain knowledge that they want to know.
It works perfect as linking knownerrors and others with the ticketing tool JIRA.
Like other kind of data management tools it is complicate to update the information.
Linking the information between the incident management process and the complexity of the items inside.
We use this tool in our IT Technology department because is a great collaboration tool. We have divided the tool for departments and we create groups in order to give access to the employees to the section that they need to access for the information. We have a lot of manuals, videos, trainigs...Is the best Knowledge management Tool.
You have a lot of information and you only have access in the section that you have permissions and if you need to access to a manual that you have the information, you need to request this permissions and you loose time in this action.
We have all the manuals and the information in a site that you can access where ever you are, you don't need to spend time in trainings and if you have a problem you can see the solution in confluence.
This product is great for documentation and sharing information. Also this product keeps a revision history so if you need to find an old version of the document you can.
the product was a little confusing and took more training time then it should.
this product is great for sharing and downloading documents with ease. A key benefit of the product is eliminating the need to approach different people for documents
Very simple to share information internally from FAQ to Project schedule
Nothing to complain about. simple enough to create and access information
Simple and efficient way to store information to be shared between teams
Great security and complete customization
When changing security accesses for new employees, a lot of steps to go through and some part is always missed.
It was a collective place to put all of our sensitive information where everyone could add to it or access it if needed.
The best thing that I like about the confluence is, it is very easy to use, no issue in navigation, multiple people can edit the file, creating the page is easy. I feel it is user friendly
I feel that it should have more type of text fonts, table use is a bit tricky, often I get confused, and there could have been the better search option for file search. Apart from these I did not find any other issue with it.
It helped me manage my files, records, their versions and gave me the flexibility to modify the files whenever I want. overall satisfied with this product.
it's simple, customizable, reliable and well done
mostly nothing, everything is good and also the settings are well done
store the documentation
The UI is were easy to navigate and the platform itself It is very easy to use and administer .
Users get bombarded by emails when a page is updated. Any small change on a page triggers the email alert.
We utilize confluence as a collaborative store for all information in the company. It is a great resource for actively sharing and updating informational stores
I like the freedom it gives the users to share information with the rest of the team
I dislike how difficult it can be to write and properly format everything.
We use Confluence as a team collaboration tool and a wiki for processes. It's also used extensively for training.
Ease of page creation. Page setup and maintenance is quite straight-forward. Documents can be very easily attached and non-native documents (e.g. Word or PDf docs) can also be imported. Users can subscribe to a page so changes to it will notify them, which is convenient as well.
Setup and maintenance of the on-premise version can be time consuming, and need knowledgeable staff to implement.
We are using Confluence Wiki to organize our IT documentation and informartion regarding all applications and software. We also use it to keep project notes as well as supporting documents from our daily activities.
It's structured similarly to Google Sites, robust auto-linking to other documents
Pay structure is on the higher side, requires hosted solution
Documentation of both internal and external features
Collaborative tools, multiple spaces/pages and allowing of tagging/notifying users.
The learning curve required to learn the ins and outs of confluence.
Project management
Love the fact that you can tag users and action items after a meeting
Page trees are a bit combursome to manage
Collaboration and shared space
Easy to navigate interface, makes it very easy to exchange information between departments. You can instantly see relevant updates.
Crashes a bit too often than preferable. Sometimes a bit hard to find specific info because of page organization.
IT department keeps everyone updated on current issues and solutions. Multiple departments can collaborate on a problem, increasing information sharing. Definitely improved company-wide communication.
Confluence is a place where the whole team can collaborate and document processes. It provides an easy way to organize this documentation as well.
At tones the sleast arch feature makes it hard to nail down the correct location of the information that you are trying to acquire.
Makes the work easier to document with links and easy to read access of additional documents.
This program allows for you to work on projects while away from the office.
It works well for mobile devices as well as desktop
The ability to work together on projects
I like being able to keep everything for my team in one place. We used to have one place for FAQs, another place for meeting notes/general updates/links, etc. Having one place to point the team toward that is also accessible by other teams is very convenient.
It is a little confusing to use at first. Thankfully I was able to find a few YouTube videos that helped walk me through the process. Those were so helpful!
It helps all of our teams get on the same page about company policies. It helps us empower our CS agents to answer questions because they have one place in which they can find the information necessary to best help.
