Confluence is a great companion to Jira - i can produce detailed requirements, record processes/how to's and link to Jira tickets or search/share content with my team easily. it's really easy to use and is a great single source of information which can be organised according to projects and topics.
Formatting lists can be annoying but it's not bad enough to affect usability. I really don't have anything negative to say about Confluence, it does everything I need it to do as a data management tool.
It is one place to record processes, handover notes and detailed requirements that then links back to Jira tickets. All relevant team members can access the information without having to navigate desktop folder systems - it's so easy to share and update content. And users can comment on articles which is great for collaborative work.
Confluence helps me find all the information related to projects, and I will be able to access the pages created for MOM. It is easy to put in necessary comments in the information pages added. It can be used as story updates and dashboard
There is nothing much to dislike about confluence. However the sort and find options are not that user-friendly.
Gaining information shared by HR in the meetings
The best thing about Confluence is that we can create documents for any project on the web and collaborate easily within the organization. Knowledge can be shared easily with another team in an organization. Anyone who wants to know about any project can quickly go through the Confluence Pages created for any project.
There are very few downsides to Confluence. Sometimes I face problems when formatting the tables I created on the Confluence Page. Confluence can improve the search engine, as it is sometimes difficult to search the document in Confluence.
It is always required to document everything when working on different projects. So Confluence is solving the problem of writing everything about the projects like requirements, implementation, development and release, in one place. Everyone within the team can view and collaborate in it and share knowledge.
Very innovative way to organise documents within product team. Product team can comment on docs as well
Do not have dislike button, needed when some documents are not uptomark
All the knowledge in one place.
The overall ease of access is the thing I enjoy most about confluence. The ability to put down information quickly and share it with my team as well as them being able to make adjustments or comments in love time is great.
Nothing at this time. I haven't found anything that I don't like.
Confluence allows us a space for our engineerign team to keep their information as well as share it easily with others internally.
Bulletproof, simple and fairly flexible. The range of extensions is great. What if course is the top feature is Jira integration. A totally flawless thing because it's the same company's product. The platform is capable enough for doing weekly reports and with some wrangling you can do some really great reporting. Especially that Jira integration. Pro tip. Setup a PMO project and include PM report tickets to get risks and issues under control!
The only thing that gets me is printing to PDF sometimes doesn't work very well. It will look great on screen. I like to use extensions as a last reality because they can beak when updates happen. There is one plugin that is supposed to print and can't. Been waiting for a solution for months on this one.
Confluence centralizes our project and process documentation. Making updates and governance decisions easy. We are more focused on the documentation than searching for the right version of a document.
The best thing about it is the ease of access and easy accessing the proper document whenever required, making it very user-friendly. Overall, it is a great tool with beautiful features.
There is nothing to dislike as such, it is just one feature while it using it on web, if we click on a link, the page opens in the same tab rather than opening a new tab, sometimes making us loose time.
When working in a team, multiple people work on the same project. While working together, people need multiple references and to prevent multiple people from explaining things to each other as everything takes a lot of time, confluence comes handy to make a junction where everyone can come and go, hence solving the above problem.
It allows an intuitive way to organize pages. The concept of having public and private spaces helps in managing content while helping to organize thoughts of individual.
The test editor is patchy and needs more improvement. It's a little difficult to format the spaces.
It helps capturing and organizing the requirements given by the client. These requirements are further converted into issues in Jira. The integration helps view and access the knowledge in both the applications through internal links.
We manage various admission cum learning programs, and for the same, we use confluence for program and project management purposes. We can create multiple dashboards with project timelines, course of actions, dependencies, required stakeholders etc. It helps us to simply each project and achieve the goals. We can share the same over the intranet and update the dashboards in real time.
The clustering of tasks is sometimes confusing over confluence. Even on the same project page, the dashboard is overloaded with various tasks simultaneously, and for a newbie, it takes time to understand and navigate. The Ui can be more interactive and self-explaining.
We use Confluence as a collaborative platform to share ethe data of various projects among the team. We use it as a knowledge bas e to exchange and share information. We can update, modify, and add new details to project pages. Keep track of all the activities and confluence is a single point place to all the project-related tasks.
The easy interface enables you to create documents with lots of plugins quickly. Also allows reviewing and managing the history of the documentation as well. You can even create a watchers list to update the users automatically about the changes
It should allow the folding and unfolding of code snippets as well. That could make the page with lots of code look simpler and more readable. Also, It should be able to import MS Word documents directly
It helps maintain documentation, HLDs, and LLDs and also helps attach JIRAs and track them in a single place. Hence easing the process of SDLC quite a lot. It is an excellent tool for Software development
