Compare cPanel with other popular tools in the same category.
It has a straightforward interface and comes with multiple features. cPanel makes it easy to make changes to the hosting services. A healthy online community makes it easy for new users to figure out how things work.
The licencing cost is a bit too high, but it gets compensated with the features they provide. It can offer more customisable dashboards. Using it on small screens like phones is a little bit inconvenient.
The best web hosting platform with a nicely organized functions. It's straightforward to set up and use, and databases and files are managed very efficiently. One click integration with Wordpress make it a hero
Easy to use and manage Can host multiple websites Single panel for emails, databases and websites.
Frequent updates that changes some configurations. It is costlier then other hosting platforms
We can host multiple websites and issues on one domain does not affect the others.
I love the continuous improvement cPanle is pouring into its product. I am a web developer and with WHM/cPanel I became confident and able to manage a dedicated hosting server to offer hosting services to my clients. I love that I can run multiple PHP versions, have access to free excellent firewall add-on, well-documented features, and a large community of users.
The Mailserver component is still hard to figure out and make very secure (especially for some like me who is a web developer and not a network administrator). The spam catchers are not as strong as what dedicated email providers can provide.
Making server management and offering hosting services possible for none system and Network admins.
Linux server built-in work tools, install applications and work with Python and WordPress applications. Database and manage the server from a web browser without the need for SSH access by the private key.
Organize memory and limit cloud access and data redundancy.
Control server by terminal within the cPanel tools, domain control and automatic free SSL. Directly Managed Folders.
Cpanel is very simplified and easy to use and manage servers. You can easily create emails,FTP, database, add SSL certificate without being a server administrator. It saves time for entering commands like to do in PUTY. Easy to set up and install. Cpanel is open source
Cpanel Sessions token expires very soon thus need to log in again and again. It could have a better code editor with a better and more soothing interface.
It helps me manage all my hostings and server easily without having a server admin for it thus saving time and cost of a server admin in my company. I am not a technical person but yet i am easily able to manage stuff like creating and managing emails and SSL
We can publish the websites in Cpanel & provide end-users with an easy-to-use interface. It's a de facto standard for a server interface from where you can manage the backend of your server. It helps you in many ways, such as administrating databases FTP users, managing your files, admin your domains and more.
For servers, pricing is so high, which sometimes is not affordable for small companies.
Best platform for web hosting. It integrates well with common website technologies like WordPress & Joomla. Can easily update the PHP versions. Database management is so easy. We can add domains to specific directories and add subdomains too.
We have many options in a single dashboard, such as File Manager, emails, visitors, bandwidths, and many more. The best part is that it has a user management system also. By using user management, we can assign different roles to different employees from various departments. Also, we can give them assign them different permissions. Its file manager is also at its best because we are getting the best code editor there so that we can edit our code. There is no need to push and pull all the code.
It always throws me out from the login session, which is very annoying to log in every time. Rest everything is good with it.
I am using cPanel for all my website management. I am also managing email accounts from the cPanel itself. It has a lot of features. I am also analysing websites traffic and the traffic of the websites from the cPanel itself.
The ease of everyday tasks. Very cleaning laid out. Anything an administrator or reseller user would need to do can be found in the WHM interface.
Really wish there was a way to integrate Billing into the WHM instead of a separate Billing System. It would be more convenient.
Various, mysql database issues, user's password issues. The ease to resolve many of these issues through either cPanel or the WHM.
Reliable software with rock-solid security. Functions without compromising user experience. Many integrations. Updated features added for current trends like WordPress. It is what makes hosting companies possible to sell Linux servers to ordinary users with the least efforts of support and with the least difficulty for users.
A bit pricey. Expect friendlier documentation and descriptions.
Transferring websites. Installing and configuring PHP extensions and web server packages. cPanel/WHM makes managing them easy and efficient.
