cPanel is a great web hosting manager. It features almost every available needs for a website, from email management to file management, ftp, security, php version, mysql, ssl and so on. Compatible with almost any server stack and os server versions. Easy to implement and easy to use.

Price, especially their newly deployed price point but, it is still far from its competitors so I am still using it.

cPanel is the goto software to manage web hosting, be it individual account or reseller account. i perticularly like the email features it has to offer - it is quite good even for some complex stuff like auto moving emails to a folder, etc. on individual email level or on account level. integration with softaculous gives simple one click access to install amazing apps like wordpress and rainloop - which we have been using quite extensively :)

granular controls are missing. especially on each individual user level. if a user needs to set a vacation responder on email, they cannot do it via the webapp, it can only be done via the admin account. also, the file manager is underwhelming for a tool that is so old and so widely used! it works, but the UX is just not 2019!

setting up and managing emails are a breeze. managing website hosting, be it direct or via wordpress, is quite good and since you have full access to all the files, handling things is quite easy (and obviously risky for the uninitiated!)

I find the interface of Web Mail client unappealing. It's kind a boring to navigate around and it feels like a it has never been improved for years.

With cPanel, it is a one stop shop for us WebTechnical Support. We can basically check everything with an ease under cPanel should an error arises.

When you’re not an SSH guru, Cpanel really does provide a really simple way in which to manage your hosting. At your fingertips is an array of the most common tools that you will need to manage your hosting platform – for example backup, email and cron. The interface isn’t very technical, but does assume technical knowledge. It’s kind of a halfway house tool between being technically minded and being a server/website expert. Easy access to PHPMYAdmin (view & manage your databases).

I feel that Cpanel hasn’t kept up well with the times, modern common requirements of ones hosting are ignored and instead old school functionality is provided in its place. For example, the use of applications such as Google Analytics (tags rather than log files) has been deemed best practice for some time. There is no ability to monitor one’s integration. Additionally, the log files that are generated are not easily readable or analysed – for example, there is no comparative to CloudWatch by Amazon or an easy hook to analyse files in TableAU.

Cpanel is worth having if you do not always have a server expert to hand, it is definitely worth having on a monthly subscription basis on a VPS or reseller platform, whether I would buy it on a longer duration for a dedicated server is questionable.

cPanel has evolved a lot over the years, but my favorite aspect is how they are constantly upgrading features, and are very responsive to the users.

The interface is not the best out there with some hosting companies. The hosting company I recently switched to has a good cPanel interface which is better than what I was used to

Being a well-known system, there is also a lot of hacker behind it trying to violate some function and access your system. With so many features, it consumes more resources than other lighter control panels.

It is very easy to manage the server without having great technical knowledge or hiring a server administrator

I really like WHM as it comes with lots of features and the UI is user-friendly.

Using cPanel as a Webhosting control panel is good for everyone. with Cpanel I can control FTP accounts, email accounts, subdomain and domains, MySQL database with PHPMyAdmin, also the file manager of Cpanel. The one thing I feel like it's a missing feature or maybe hidden and there is a problem with UI/UX with this panel. I tried to find a way to pause my domain or subdomain by Cpanel easily. but there are no such things I found there. Secondly, I think the price of Cpanel is very high and getting higher day by day that's why limited budget projects are trying to avoid using Cpanel.

Year after year, cPanel raises their pricing by 10-15% without much justification. It cannot be any more easier for a noob like me. Before using cpanel, I never used any other similar email manager but I think there was no learning curve, I didn't even had to google anything to understand, its pretty straight-forward.
