Out of all of the Form builder plugins I've tried for WordPress, Gravity Forms has been my favourite for its range of features and options and reliability. It's easy to use and provides enough granular control over the different features.

Even with the paid Developer license, I feel like Gravity Forms could try to offer a bit more in terms of specialty form field types and when it comes to form design and styling. Of course, there's the ability to buy add-ons and extensions, but it's harder to justify that expense to clients or managers who don't quite understand what the expense is for.

Gravity Forms is our default/go-to Form Builder solution for our WordPress-powered websites. We host over 60 sites and we use Gravity Forms on all of them because it's dependable and easy to set up. They replace the default contact form module that comes with our theme and give us the ability to control exactly how a form works, what happens when a form is submitted, and enables the ability to integrate with 3rd party platforms and use Google ReCAPTCHA for spam filtering.

It is super versatile. You can actually use it to build a whole website. The support is top-notch, and the ecosystem around it is very vibrant.

If I had to absolutely pick one thing to dislike, it is the fact that the default telephone number field is very basic.

Gravity Forms is not only excellent at managing all the leads generated from client websites, it also comes in handy in building certain navigational flows on some.

It's incredibly robust and extremely well supported. And the developers release new features and integrations regularly. And there's a vast developer community around Gravity Forms so support and innovation are easily available.

This is actually a good thing, but the wait time for new features can sometimes be long (because they won't release an update until after its been rigorously tested, which is why it's a good thing).

Although many people use Gravity Forms simply as a contact form builder, we use it for so much more - including lead generation and online contract signing automation (through an integration with WP e-Signature).

It's reliable, and has an extensive library of add-ons for nearly every service you can imagine. It also is well documented for custom extensions. This is why there are so many add-ons for obscure 3rd party integrations you've never heard of until you actually need them.

My biggest complaint for years was a slightly outdated and "not as intuitive UI as I'd like", but they updated it a few years ago and I really don't have any complaints anymore.

Provides a GUI form builder for every purpose one can imagine. We've built everything from simple newsletter sign up forms to multi-page, conditional sales lead forms with integrated product calculators.

It allows us to build forms that are about as simple or complex as we need.

I would love for the date picker to be full width by default and I would if there was a way to style the plugin to match Divi styles without the need for CSS or third-party plugins.

It: (1) allows us to build simple and complex forms, (2) automatically configures goals in Google Analytics (requires GA add-on), (3) records all submissions so that no submissions are ever lost, (4) integrates with Akismet and includes the anti-spam honeypot, and (5) integrates with SendGrid for email deliverability.

Gravity Forms is a great form builder plugin for WordPress.

In the past, form styling was a bit tricky, but not anymore.

GF allows you to add all kinds of forms to a WordPress site. The plugin also offers many add-ons to integrate with third-party plugins and services. We are really excited about the upcoming Conversational Forms add-on.

I like that it allows you to create very simple sign up forms for lead gen. It is not facy, but it is a simple process and makes things easy for me. I like how simple it is to use, and I think that's the most important part of this tool.

There are not too many features, such as A/B testing or designing it the way you want it to look like. I wish they would be more features that I could take it vantage of. There are other competitors out there that have way more features than this one.

Lead gen. It works well and I haven't come across any issues with it. I like how I can view a whole list of every single person who submitted my form on my website.

The ability to customize and tailor to my needs.

Some of the customizing options that should be native to the platform have to be purchased separately.

The ability to group purposes/functions into one service.

Gravity forms is easy to style and includes great add-ons to accomplish nearly anything you might want to do with a form. It also has simple tools built in to assist with PII compliance for GDPR, CCPA, etc.

The price is a little steep for a WordPress plugin, especially when there are so many free form plugins. However, we find it worth the investment.

Gravity Forms provides a more robust alternative to the Divi form builder that we use for basic forms. We use it for sending form information to CRMs, allowing clients to submit files, and even for taking payments. It's an efficient and relatively intuitive form builder.

There is so much you can customize! I can make my form look exactly how I want. I can personalize notifications and set conditions so different emails go out depending on the options chosen. There are also soooo many useful integrations with Gravity Forms that I can send data anywhere I need it to go.

I haven't found anything I'm unhappy with about this product.

I use this for everything from quote requests and contact us forms to career applications and event registrations. The integrations with Zapier and Hubspot make it really easy to get information where it needs to go.

What I like best is the ease of use. I am a coder and the fact I can use something like Gravity Forms that's already developed with drag and drop simplicity is pretty amazing!

I am a complex Gravity Forms user. I wish there was an easy to to handle payment plans AND full payments in one form. That's a minor inconvenience and very specific to my usage, so maybe it's not really a general dislike, just in my use case.

We use a LMS/CMS with a built in shopping cart. The shopping cart is dated and clunky and we were getting user complaints. I decided to build out a shopping cart using Gravity Forms. This was only after exhausting my search from something. Gravity Forms fit the bill. I process $1.8 million dollars through Gravity Forms as my checkout system annually. It's pretty amazing to do that with something that I was able to put together in a weekend.

I've been using Gravity Forms since before 2015! It is by far the best form software out there. Not only does it have what I need in most cases out of the box, but the support team is also amazingly helpful when I have an application that tries to stand things on their heads functionally.

My only dislike is the out of the box styling, but with the design add-ons from Beaver Builder and such that it no longer an issue.

Everything from a basic contact form, to a complex event registration, to membership profile creation

Ease of use and the depth of the product.

There are some 3rd party add-ons that are old and no longer valid. Not really GF's fault though.

We are asked to come up with some pretty robust form solutions and with Gravity Forms, we have always been able to execute. Conditional logic fields are worth the price of admission alone!

I like the ease of use of building forms that can be embedded anywhere on a site. Plus configuring them for different needs is easy with plugins and built-in features.

There is no repository version I can just add a pro code to.

I have had to create a mini-shopping environment and didn't want to install a complex e-commerce system. It worked flawlessly.

It's easy to install, we can import/export forms from our other sites as well as user-submitted entries. The conditional logic feature is really easy to use as well.

While the form creator is easy to use, it can take longer to create forms with the interface load time.

Integrations with client's CRMs and third-party software has been really simple. Connecting to merchant gateways and email clients is super easy! Using Gravity Forms we're able to build elementary email forms and complex forms requiring conditional logic all within the same form builder.

The flexibility of the tool. I use it not just to do contact forms, but to connect to my project management system, I use to to pass variables to have unique email forms for some of our vendors, and we use it with clients to manage content better.

My only complaint is that I wish it handled larger files for file uploads and did it more securely.

Gravity forms allows me to interact with my customers easily and in a very sophisticated manner on my website. Once I connect it to Zapier and added some security add-ons, the possibilities are only limited by my creativity.

Easy integration for capturing email to newsletters, call to actions, easy to export data, saves data unlike contact form 7, can change CSS easily for better design, easy drag and drop, show and hide fields with conditional logic, and forms to custom post fields to name a few.

Easy to use. Able to sync with many apps. Really appreciated that you can require fields that are only visible conditionally - this is not the case with some of the other form builders out there.

It's hard to reorder groups of fields on very long paginated forms. The "send from" email box on notifications can sometimes cause problems and/or confuse users when an SMTP plugin is configured.

We use Gravity Forms on websites and web application portals with very complex form needs, including API connections to custom web applications. We have built websites with literally 100s of Gravity forms on them and use Gravity Forms to easily manage user registration, writing/updating posts or data stored in custom tables, or sync data instantly to Google Sheets, CRM software, etc. Using Gravity Forms has made it faster for us to set up these solutions. We can have a less technical user set up the form and then pull in a developer to handle the pieces that require custom code. This helps us move faster on projects, and it also allows clients to do more on their own post-launch. I love the simple setup. It saves me a lot of time when building a new site. Their export feature works great if you have a common form you use on most sites, it's quite easy to create a "template" and get those up quickly.

Not much to complain about. If I had any, it would be that I always end up having to write my own CSS to style it, It would be nice if they had some of the basic options available to choose from (button color, font size, type) just to save time.

I've been able to quickly create all sorts of forms for clients - from basic contact forms, to catering order forms, to employment applications. This helps streamline my clients' businesses.

I like how user-friendly Gravity Forms are. There are other form plugins but to be honest they are annoying to set up. With Gravity Forms, I find it an easy and quick process to set up many forms. I also like the various features that you can add to your forms. The PayPal option for example has been very useful when setting up forms that require a payment.

The only thing I do not like is that I have not found a way to make forms two columns. Sometimes the forms are long and do not match the general look of the website I am designing. Being able to customize the look of the forms would be awesome.

The major problem that using Gravity Forms has solved is being able to have different kinds of forms on one site. Some of my clients need forms for different uses. They may want a general contact form but also a form set up for appointments. Being able to create different forms in an easy way makes my job designing their site easier.

The easy way to connect the IIIrd part softwares. Make marketing automation it's very simple, no matter what service I will chose, works vey well with active campaigne, mailchimp and similar

the graphic interface for creating new modules is not so user friendly, i don't like the way to create products, it's very difficoult to insert images of products, and finally I don't like that there is no way to create conversational form

I reduced the lead management time. Optimizing the flow of information left time to focus on other important aspects of web marketing. Now people in my clients' office are able to write an email based on tags or group of interest

It has lots of integrations. Especially the CRM plugin I use and the Woocommerce product integration. Good stuff!

I'd like to see more addons available for the Elite license that I have. For example, Gravity forms should have woocommerce integration available.

Big problem I'm solving is the conditional logic of the forms as well as multipage forms.

Gravity Forms has been our go-to form plugin for WordPress for a few years now. It has plenty of pre-built integrations, a cost-effective price plan, and is easily extendible if there is not a current add-on. Great customer support, and great community behind the program. And with the 2.5 release, the user experience of the plugin is much better.

There isn't really much to dislike about Gravity Forms. Prior to the big 2.5 release, the biggest problem with the plugin was user experience in the interface. It was out-dated, clunky, and just a mess to work with. The GF team has improved this to meet (probably exceed) the interfaces of the other leading email form plugins.

We use Gravity Forms for traditional contact form, but on a more customized basis we have multiple use cases: PDF integration for digital signatures, payment collections, and even an interactive questionnaire lead generation form.

The conditional fields, notifications and confirmations are perfect. The integration possibilities are limitless. I've been using this plugin for 4 years, I've tried many others but nothing compares.

I always end up writing my own CSS to style the forms because the third-party templates are never the best.

Gravity Forms is a Plug-in used to create advanced forms for a WordPress-powered website. Background My client needed a custom-crafted business sign website where visitors submitted forms to receive a personalized quote for a business sign. One of the most critical features required for the form was to allow users to upload requested documents such as logos, sign examples, or rough sketches. The website was designed in WordPress using the Thrive Themes Shapeshift Theme and landing pages using Thrive Architect. The site integrates with AciveCampaign. Both ActiveCampaign and Thrive Themes have form options but do not allow for file uploads. I chose Gravity Forms for its ability to allow users to upload files. To request a quote for a sign, a user would fill out a form. The form had standard fields for email, name, phone number, and a description of the sign they needed. The File Upload field is available under the Advanced Fields section within the form editor. When creating the form, you can set the extension types and file size. This field will limit what type of files a user may upload. You may also set permissions on how many files a user may upload. You can set up Gravity forms to email you when a form is submitted. I set up the sales team and design team to receive the email and view any file uploads. To view file uploads, you click on the file, and the image opens in a browser tab. Gravity Forms works well with the marketing automation platform, ActiveCampaign. To do this, you need to use Gravity Forms ActiveCampaign Add-On. The Add-on allows you to "quickly integrate any Gravity Form with ActiveCampaign's all-in-one email marketing service." You will first need to create a "feed" before using the ActiveCampaign Add-On with Gravity Forms. According to Gravity Forms, "A feed is like a notification that communicates information to an add-on or an external service that the add-on integrates with, each time a visitor successfully submits your form." To properly use Gravity Forms with ActiveCampaign, you need to map a Gravity Form form with a similar ActiveCampaign form. ActiveCampaign automatically adds subscribers to your contact list when a form is submitted.

The pro license is $159 a year. This seems a bit pricey. In comparison, Ninja Forms is $199 for 20 sites, and WP Forms Plus is $199 for unlimited sites. Neither Ninja forms nor WPForms currently allow file uploads. To properly use Gravity Forms with ActiveCampaign, you need to map together forms. This is done in Gravity Forms settings. It takes a while to map fields with ActiveCampaign. But that is just part of the process.

We are able to quickly see when users submit forms and view the documents they have attached. This saves time from having to email a prospect and have them email us a file back.

I am constantly amazed the versatility of Gravity Forms. Sure, you can use it to create simple contact forms, but it can do so, so, SO much more than that. Want to create polls or surveys? Sure, that's child's play. Want to collect email addresses and dump them into your favorite email marketing Saas? Tons of software connections are baked-in to Gravity Forms (depending on your license level). Want your forms to stand out as something more than just a boring form? Yeah, go ahead and style the heck out of them using CSS. I've used Gravity Forms in place of e-commerce solutions (like WooCommerce) for simpler product/payment transactions. But wait, there's more. You can register users to your site (or register users for aspects of your site, like LearnDash courses); you can take payments on forms through PayPal, Stripe, Square, Authorize.net (and a few others); you can easily create COVID screening questionnaires (that's proven useful!); you can automatically dump your collected data into a variety of CRMs (Zoho, Agile, Capsule, probably others I have no experience with). And if all else fails, just connect Gravity Forms with Zapier where you can probably do whatever you want or need.

On the rare occasions I need support from their team, I wish there was a faster solution than email. Other than that, I haven't had any issues. Even the one time I had a project that was above my capabilities, Gravity Forms directed me to Codeable where I was able to find a developer to assist in the project.

The ease of solving a variety of different client needs, especially on the topic of collecting payments. Setting up e-commerce solutions can take a lot of time, which can be a burden if a client just needs to sell access to a downloadable brochure or collect deposits on a workshop. With nothing more than the PayPal email address, I can set my clients up to collect payment in a matter of minutes. I also LOVE the fact that all submitted entries are stored in the database. Some contact form plugins don't store the data after sending the email, and anyone who has setup forms in WordPress knows of the deliverability issues that can arise with submission notifications. Since Gravity Forms stores the entries, I don't have to worry about lost entries. My clients know that if an important submission doesn't reach their inbox for some reason, they can always login to the site and find that submission.

Using Gravity Forms, our developers are able to create robust webforms that allow our clients to capture that they need while also integrating with their other marketing systems.

Depending on the platform, integrating with some third-party platforms can be cumbersome.

We're able to streamline our form building process without having to sacrifice functionality or features.

Very flexible and powerful. Compared to existing form plugins, this is the most reliable, stable and powerful you will find.

Some of the add-ons are confusing and hard to understand.

We use for product registration in our website, as well as a contact us form. We had several different problems with "Super Forms", Forminator, and the regular form wp plugin. Gravity has kept up with our demand.

Gravity Forms has the best combination of features and ease-of-use. It has FANTASTIC documentation, and as a WordPress developer, it makes it easy for me to make any customizations that I need.

The only downside is that creating custom form styles is a bit cumbersome (but that's the nature of dealing with HTML forms anyway).

I use Gravity Forms for building client websites. I've yet to run into a form usage case a client can think up that Gravity Forms can't handle. Conditional logic, multiple pages, payment integration - it's got everything!
