It is easy to track communications across teams for technical resolutions.
For someone who may not be familiar with 'tech applications,' it can be a bit intimidating at first glance. I am familiar with Jira and ServiceNow, so I understand the platforms, but it can be intimidating to team members that are not familiar with these applications.
Ongoing technical issues related to GPS device tracking and website functionality. Jira helps to streamline the troubleshooting process and
Jira has a great interface, easy-to-use experience and helpful software.
The commenting feature in Jira is not ideal; it would be helpful to comment directly on a user story and highlight certain AC you have questions about, instead of commenting on the story itself.
Jira helps my onshore and offshore teams communicate easily and ensures we're all on the same page when discussing important features.
Easy tool that helps agile teams to break their bulk tasks into smaller pieces and help teams to complete their tasks faster and quickly.
Nothing as of now. it works awesome and offers a great UI for the users and the teams.
Tasks management becomes very easy and UI is super cool and easy to understand. Helps teams to divide their tasks and track everyone's status.
1. Helps in tracking your work. 2. Helps in identifying where exactly effort is being put. 3. Since everything is documented with the help of JIRA , we can keep track of progress and always priortise the task and put less important in backlog which can be pick up later.
Sometimes unknowingly too much time is spent on the software for the creation and management of entire stuff which reduces productivity also if org hires someone else to keep track of everything via JIRA then it adds upto to the overall cost.
Helps in keep tracking of efforts of each and every individual. Helps in knowing where exactly resources are needed. Helps in time management. Helps in documenting each and everything which is useful in longe run.
Jira provide you with custom workflow and an interactive console to create and manage your tickets as per the feature requirement. The endless customisation feature will make sure to not disappoint you. Some of the features are: - Ticket ID - Sub Task - History of the changes - Custom workflow
Some times the ticket doesn't open up in sprint board and also the filter seems to be confusing. I think more documenation should be provided by Atlassian community on that on JQL.
It helps me to manage the feature description and proper project and feature documentation in a single place. Also the confluence feature help me to create engineering specs for each feature and I can share it with other team members as well.
Managing stories and epics easily and tracking product features
So many features feels cluttered, and confusing
Helping teams track the progress of the features and cycles
Organization and ease of communication across multiple teams
The setup can be difficult and if not cautious your email will become unrecognizable
Communication between end users to support to dev team. Organize teams into biweekly sprints
Jira helps us to easily track defects, and tasks and also helps with test execution. It helps to have a proper workflow between different departments
I haven't come across any downside to Jira till now
Jira helps us have a smooth workflow and helps us in multiple aspects
1. Easy tracking of tasks and projects that are ongoing. 2. One can create sprint cycles for a project to be finished, and assign tasks to people accordingly. 3. Its integration with Slack is a cool feature, one can receive notifications easily there, without having to open Jira. 4. I like the drag and drop feature for a task - for example, we can shift a task from development to the testing phase, by just dragging and dropping it.
1. There's no Jamboard where we can create process flow diagrams. There should be one for each task/project. 2. If a project (head) was created under somebody, but if that person is no longer a part of the project, there's no specific feature to transfer the project entirely, and stop receiving notifications. 3. The UI for features/options given in the Top panel, improvement can be done for them, i.e to improve UI for the Top panel on the Home page.
It's a great project management tool, I have been a part of this software for 2 years now. I love the features and functionalities that it has to offer in this sphere.
Easy to use, tracking of tasks is simple
There is nothing I dislike in Jira at the moment.
Tracking / Following-Up tasks, project and team management.
It's very easy to use, easy to manage work.
Nothing, I like everything in it so nothing to dislike
It helps in tracking tickets assigned to all the employees .
It's very user friendly and when used by everyone, makes it easier to track project progression easily. It also helps in identifying bottlenecks easily
It requires careful customisation and needs commitment from the people to adapt and make use of it capturing all the process and progress related information.
It provides a unified dashboard and reporting interface where all product and process aims can be saved, broken down into sub tasks, further defined into main tasks, enablers, issues, bugs etc while also defining who is responsible for what. It comes up as a single point of reference for project management.
Jira categorises tickets like Feature, EPIC, Story, Defect, Tasks etc.. It has a universal search feature that can return results all the categories. JQL comes in handy using the search feature.
It doesn't remember the user activity. If Jira produces results based on the user activity then it will be very in retrieving correct results. That could be machine learning algorithm though.
The Atlassian Marketplace comes in very handy to install plugins for your desired usage. It has millions of plugins both free and paid that can help you automate regular tasks you perform in Jira. Jira helps the user in understanding the software development practices as it breakdowns a feature in categories like Epic, Story, child story etc.. backtracking and understanding the initiative of a feature is easy.
Easy to create, follow, update tickets. Really efficient to track project status and dispute tasks between project members. Its faster and easier to usethan its competitors.
Email notifications can be more detailed. Its rarely failing to refresh page after ticket raising. Can be better with dark theme to people who has eye problems.
Tracking to project current status, and creating to-do list for future developments. Thanks to this product whole team sees easily what to do.
easy to keep track the ticket and retrieve history data
sometimes data is too much to review, need to review one bye one
Track progress of how projects are progressing
It keeps a track of all the issues perfectly and the status and progress is very well placed.
Sometimes it can take time to assign stories to the user.
We manage our business requirements through jira with sprint allotment, story points..etc
The ability to watch, assign, and link issues to each other. I use it as a to-do list, but it comes with steroids.
The amount of control was initially overwhelming but was manageable as we adopted tools bit by bit.
Creating copies of information to ensure everyone has the same understanding is a recipe for misunderstanding. Jira allows us to manage every piece of information as a distinct object of which only one exists.
1. Easy to use and intuitive ui. 2. Can track all progress, issues, evidences etc. 3. Easy for both developer and manager to track the progress regarding a task
Sometimes, it becomes a bit difficult to find exactly what we need. For example to apply a specific set of filters to display some data, I have to google things
Helps me keep track of all progress I made corresponding to a task, how much time is spent on the task, logging conversations, discussions and any other relevant information regarding the task, all in the same place
It is very easy to create sprints and cards for the team
It is not customizable enough to allow for additional fields and reports
Project management, team cards assignment
Besides the awfully good format for product management in general there also are really good templates for every department within JIRA which support the internal workflows.
Don't have anything useful to say here really. Maybe would have preferred that they expanded their own sales/consultant teams rather than outsource to third-parties.
Product planning, management, processing bug inquiries, as well as reporting of aforementioned. Overall increased productivity and business performance with a cross-functional team.
