There is no limit to use-cases it can be used for - If you can imagine it, you can build it. Licensing is simple, 3 tiers of pricing. You know what is included and what not. Easy to learn (No coding experience required, just some creativity). Easy to Implement, especially with the new AI Application Builder. Customer Support is quick and painless, great support from our Account Manager. The Quickbase University and Qrew are amazing resources to increase knowledge and skills, allowing more members to gain app building skills. The pipeline channels allow for easy integration with business critical applications such as Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, etc. and are really easy to implement.
Minimum number of users need to be less than 20 to remove the barrier for smaller businesses. Quickbase Mobile app forms needs to be improved and more features need to be added (Signature field, standard multi-file upload that doesn't require a plug-in and the ability to edit/ mark an image) Storage needs to be increased as user count increases New Forms need some work to make it more flexible for different screen sizes - needs to align to the middle of the screen rather than the left
The organisation has a large number of disconnected applications that result in a lot of manual work to gather and visualise data. Quickbase is slowly allowing the organisation to bring the data together on a single platform that allows a structured, simple way to access the data real-time. Quickbase is helping the organisation to highlight issues much easier
Easy to use, UI & UX are perfect, on the business side, they really likes the reporting functions, notifications and the workflows
The new layouts. In the past it was more readable. It is also true for the table reports.
Perfect tool also for prototyping. Benefit the added value vs price and time. My oppinion is the Quickbase is still the cheapest solution on the market if we are using it where it make sense and cover multiple needs.
I work in analytical chemistry and diagnostic laboratory operations. I hate paperwork, I hate filing cabinets and when I had a chance to build a lab from scratch I made it clear we would have no paper in the lab. I was shown quickbase by a colleague and within days I was building the basic foundations of a lab information management system. As I got better with Quickbase through the online resources and some third party guidance I was able to build a complete end to end lab information management system. This software can cost over $70k for a small to medium sized lab and we didnt want to get sucked into a static system than was slow to change in our dynamic organization. Now we manage the operation, upgrades and data management internally and everything is custom tailored to our needs
Maybe I havent had a good look around the learning resources available but I have had trouble getting from "intermediate" to "advanced" user skill abilities. Maybe some basic "this is how you build an app" strategy guidance could be useful. I am still learning so I chop up most of my frustration to skill rather than platform problems. I would love some help if someone wants to spend some time with me though!
Our entire lab is managed through quickbase. From sample registration and biobanking storage to results generation and automated data export to patients. Our chemical inventory is linked to our analytical operations so we can track what chemical was used with which pipette or other equipment, when and why.
Security, ease of use, and reliability. Rock-solid and extensible plarform.
Pricing at the low end - they should provide more of a ramp for smaller business.
Speed to value. I can build a system in a day.
(1) Easy to learn (2) low cost (3) Good interface (4) Low maintenance (5) cloud base (6) Easy connection with other apps
(1) fewer learning materials (2) Sometimes, performance is slow
(1) Linked many business units in one place (2) Automation reminder provides help (3) Centralize all data management (4) Connect to different business units' (5) Continute adding new features
Ease of use. Customization ability, work flow is simple. Ability to intigrate and adapt to current systems. We've been able to eliminate other subscriptions and save TONS of time required to perform our weekly tasks.
User package prices but only because we have a potential 100+ users. (pay per user). Would love if there were more options for User pricing. This is not a real issue but if i had to list something, this would be it.
Ability to intigrate all aspects of the company (operations, billing, payroll, dispatch, shop repairs, Scheduling, etc) all into one platform. Eliminates work hours for every employee.
The modular nature of Quickbase is at the heart of its strength. The platform can be adapted to incredibly diverse needs by allowing for individualization and flexibility. The platform is truly only limited by one's imagination. Reimagine it a little and see how Quickbase can lay it out for you. When you don't find exactly what you need, write your own with a function.
This will sound very harsh, but the cobbled-together native code language used for functions is rather atrocious. It mimics known languages but leaves out the truly functional parts. The help files are unfortunately lacking or dated, so one needs to file a ticket often just to learn how to write a basic conceptual function within the confines of Quickbase's native language. It seems it would be simpler just to use an established language and call it good, right?
Database management was the initial reason we turned to Quickbase years ago. Since then we have expanded into financial tracking, travel expense tracking and reimbursement, sales analytics across all platforms, human resource management, onboarding and training, course registration, ...
Quickbase is an exceptional tool to empower non-developer in building software for their organizations. Quickbase should be in every development IT Shop. Quickbase allows Business stakholders and Quickbase users to build and prototype faster. Quickbase is a platform where requirements can be actively built with all the participates and a Organization can see their request materialize fast.
I wish Quickbase would focus on an audience they may not have considered and that is a IT development department. Help make it easier to fit Quickase into their development processes and have Quickbase be another tool in that departments tooling.
We are able to build an application quicker than with typical development tools. We are able to move faster in the requirements gathering to development because we can move fast.
