With Sage accounting, I get to generate Quotations and invoices directly from the system to the client, with an already proposed email.
I've just started using it, but the more clients you are on board and users, the more expensive it becomes.
I can convert my quotations into invoices within the system with less hustle, and it is making my work much easier at the end of the day.
I enjoy the layout of Sage and the fact that it is extremely user friendly

The design and graphical interface is very interesting, the combination of colors, the modernization of the image of Sage, it is clear at all times for the user that it is a tool in the cloud, rather than a program that looks like an application at a visual level. There are some data error once in a while and sometime it because so bad that I need to ask a third party to fix the data error. (Sage 's own data verification could not fix the error) It does do auto backup but if the backup has data error then the backup is not useful at all.
It is a standard account application that cannot be customized to your own industry so you need something other than Sage 50 to help you run the business. (like a PLM or other production related program).
My organization migrated from an on-premises based accounting software to Sage Cloud accounting. The gains were immense and immediately measurable. Being a service-based IT consulting business where time is money and mobility is an absolute requirement, the cloud-based solution made collaboration with our internal team and audits by our external accountants a breeze as no travelling is required. No more updates and long support calls. The system allows the user to jump to any financial period without any hassle.
- The automatic bank feeds function has been a problem and is prone to crashing. - Sage should also develop better training material, preferably on youtube. - The system does not warn you when there are duplicate bank transactions captured - this could be improved on. - The system does not inform you when there are new journals posted from the Sage Payroll integration - There should be alerts whenever changes have been made by the user or by other users (and integrated apps). - Support needs work - I have often spoken to support technicians/agents who have no knowledge of accounting or very little knowledge of how their own software works. As an expert user of the system, I expected better.
- We have completely removed the need for an outsourced bookkeeper as the system is easy enough to use for a basic user. - We have saved time and money in human resources and paperwork as we now keep electronic records on the cloud. - The financial data is easily exportable into other formats such as Excel, CSV and PDF - This makes it very easy and efficient to use the data in Sage in other financial modelling software.
The interface is super intuitive with clean menus making working a small feat to accomplish. With group menus from Customers to Suppliers, getting started is super easy even. I'm not even an accounting professional.
The quotation design needs to improve from just choosing from the templates to actually customizing everything to reflect brand identity. The interface can improve with a little bit of user guides, tooltips, live chat and more.
Financial management and accounting
I really like the main page that shows what is going on with all of the accounts. I can easily spot overdue accounts and get their invoiced printed and mailed the same day!
I didn't have many issues with the software, everything is pretty easy to understand. The main issue that I found was that I couldn't 'go backwards' with invoicing to attach it to a quote (at least I couldn't get it).
Sage makes accounting easy. I do not have a degree in accounting, just basic knowledge from school, so I was completely new to the accounting software. This was easy for me to do so that bills weren't missed and the clients were happy to get billed properly.
The best feature is the comprehensive information and support that Sage can provide for Bookkeeping services and Accounts payable features. It is better than the competition by being user friendly platform.
I believe the customizing of the interface is a slight inconvenience. There are certain things that I would personally want to move around. But nothing outside of this.
No problems realized. Just an overall effective solution. The financial benefits come from being able to create reports and share with team. It's an amazing prices allowed on the interface
Sage Business Cloud Accounting has been developed over the past 12 months to being unrecognizable form its former self and it is definitely for the better. It has become much more customer friendly and we find clients actually enjoy using it. With the automation processes it means it reduces manual inputting and direct emailing of invoices means clients are getting paid quicker. Finally, a cloud based entry level product from Sage that takes on the market leaders.
Start developing other more features to make it better than the other software available.

This software is great because you have access to several different aspects of the business. There are so many different uses for it and so many reports that can be run from it. It also helps with efficiency of getting things done.
I think this software could be a little more user friendly. Sometimes it is difficult to maneuver around the software. Additionally, there are times where the software forces you to print out confirmations when you update something, and this can be wasteful.

We are safe our data is in the cloud and we can access it from anywhere. We like that we have online backups instead of local backups. Creating reports is very easy. Sage support is very knowledgeable. We like the integration of the payroll module. We have connected sage 50 with our event registration platform and that allows us to create the entries and invoice directly into sage 50 automatically.
We do not like that sometimes when you create an account. If you do not do it properly it will create a series of recurring errors. One time we created an account and suddenly we had random values added to our balances. we had to delete the account to fix it. And recreate everything since the beginning. The initial process was not very easy. But, once we got used to it, everything was very easy. Building the framework of our accounting structure was a difficult task. We use sage 50 installed on a virtual server and it takes a while to print documents.
We moved from a software that was installed on a local desktop to a cloud version. Now we have a software that get updates regularly. We have support available as need it. We have integration with Microsoft Office.

When using Sage live on my smart phone, sometimes the area I am does't allow me to receive the most current information. It's not Sage's fault, but it does make it hard sometimes.
I am solving the problem of not having to be in front of a computer to forecast my business. The reporting is amazing and easy to understand, easy to follow and makes it very easy to share and explain to others.

You can keep all the information in different tables so it is easy to find out the any information easily. You can combine the data and pull according to your requirements.
