The ease and convenience of the site is great, as well as navigating through the site and finding the information you need!
I have no real downside to add about Gusto, but I do look forward to seeing new added features in the future!
The issue of keeping track of my paid time off hours and accruing!
It is user friendly and easy to find what I need. It is very easy to get support as well and they are always very helpful. It has been very successfully implemented for our US HR needs. I use it constantly.
I haven't used a similar product so I'm not sure about comparing to another and finding dislikes...sometimes there are too many features promoted or available. In a very small organization we are not likely to use these and sometimes I wish I could hide them. I haven't integrated Gusto with anything else -- I will look into it and see if the security standards are sufficient. If they are not, I suppose that would be a dislike.
It's manages the taxes and federal/state requirements in a very helpful way, as I am not a professional in that regard.
I use Gusto a few times a week for payroll and hr related tasks. It's easy to use and navigate, and it's very user friendly. Customer service is always helpful and friendly. I can run payroll automatically every pay period. Gusto also assists with opening up your business in additional states.
The things I didn't like with Gusto have been improved. Gusto is constantly improving their systems.
They handle all the state and federal payroll taxes. We're open in several states so this is very helpful.
Simple and easy to understand. Easy access to paystub.
There nothing to dislike as yet as I haven't been a user for a long time
Paystub is easy to view online.
It's simple and intuitive. I can find everything that I'm looking for. And it's nice to look at!
There was a time that I was entering employee information including documents related to employment. I was moving things over from another software. I would have liked to be able to rename the documents after moving them to Gusto. I would also like to be able to organize the employee documents.
Employees can add their own updates related to certification/employment. They can also check benefits and pay periods, etc.
How user friendly the platform is for employees.
The lack of experience of the platform does not make some of the back end reporting easy for the employer.
Relatively reliable customer service. Short wait times for customer service make this platform better than many other well established options.
Clear and easy to use UI. Good state-by-state integration. Nice benefits offering. Knowledgable salespeople. Solid customer service.
Health insurance offering was good, but was able to do better with broker (although sure would have been easier and more seamless with Gusto). Small mixup with our Worker's Comp; double paid but quickly resolved.
Quick and easy payroll processing. Nice touches re: onboarding.
User friendly for both admins and employees
Reporting features are limited Benefit changes can take a long time to complete

I like that they send me emails about my direct deposits. I don't have to wonder if I got paid!
Nothing at this time. The product and ease of use satisfy my needs.
I do not have any problems with Gusto.
It is a very user-friendly payroll software solution.
My contact at Gusto has been very helpful but now I have a new contact.
Payroll processing for my CPA firm and for a number of my clients.
Gusto is awesome in helping to run a small business. It is easy to set employees up in the system and make sure everyone is paid on time. The peace of mind that Gusto is handling all the compliance work is wonderful. Whenever I needed to reach out to them with any questions, they were very helpful and solved any problems quickly. Integration with other products if needed makes Gusto great as well. The price compared to the number of features offered makes it also so great for a small business on a budget. I look forward to using Gusto as I grow the business.
After over 3 years of use so far, I have not come across any downsides as it relates to my business.
When thinking about hiring my first employees, the costs to administer and compliance were my biggest worries. Gusto has helped tremendously in both of these areas.
Gusto recently switched to US-based support, at least for the support tier that I access as an accountant user. Given that I am often calling about complicated details related to my clients' payroll administration, the change has been quite helpful to me. Beyond that, I'm happy with the wide range of reporting I can access and Gusto's ability to integrate with QuickBooks Online. The platform provides value for money spent.
On the downside, navigation can be confusing at times, and some reporting, for instance most recently reporting related to R & D credits has also been confusing for me to deal with.
I refer clients to Gusto when they need a reasonably priced and reliable payroll solution.
I love the friendly interface and how easy is to navigate.
There is no option to select and download specific paystubs in separated files on the web app.
Selection of Employee Benefits, so each employee can review and select the benefit they want instead of having to do it manually.
Easy to use. Good integration features with accounting software. Can do annual reviews in Gusto, and can keep track of PTO easily
One thing that would be helpful in the annual reviews--the ability to edit after going over the review with the employee
Payroll. W-2s and other tax services (941, etc). PTO tracking 401k coordination Annual reviews
Having savings with higher interest compared to standard bank, direct deposit, and debit card
It would be nice to be able to transfer large amounts from gusto to other bank

ease of use user interface, intuitive design
nothing, pretty good, may be monthly fee could be lowered for basic plan
payment and hr management
Once you learn how to use it, Gusto is easy and quick to use for payroll.
There are some complicated things that might be more difficult on Gusto, like figuring out gross pay from a net pay amount.
Gust has straightforward pricing based on how many active employees we have. It is saving us half of what we paid using a more complicated payroll service that billed us per payroll. Since Gusto charges by the month, we can run as many checks as we need to within that month for the same price.
Ability to separate accounts and spending
The inability to determine if pay will actually hit the account when it supposed in a timely manner

Gusto has proved to be an easy-to-use application that presents paycheck and benefit information in an intuitive manner.
I have no complaints about Gusto, to be quite honest.
Gusto does a great job of having all the important aspects of my pay and benefits in one application.
