What do you like best about Remote.com?

Everything is centralized in the platform. Pay slips, and payments are always on time. I mailed them only one time to ask about something, and they were really responsive and cooperative. Great service 🫡

I didn't face any downside yet, but I'll surely keep you up-to-date if something didn't go well

"Great for freelancers in Spain that want to work as employees for an foreign company"
What do you like best about Remote.com?

Being a freelancer in Spain is very painful, as the conditions are deplorable compared to employees. Remote makes it possible to be hired as an Spanish employee without the hassle of setting up a company in Spain.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

The integration with external systems could be improved. In my case, I use Build for Teams to report my monthly expenses, but I need to register them twice every time; this should be done automatically.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

I don't have to be hired as an external contractor in Spain but as an employee. That makes accounting much simpler for me and improves my unemployment conditions.

What do you like best about Remote.com?

Very reliable and very easy to use. Excellent web application with everything you need. I was unsure about using Remote at first as I had never used an employer of records before, but the experience was seamless.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

Mobile web app experience could be a little bit better.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am hired by a company in the UK but I live in Germany. Since I didn't want to navigate Germany's complicated tax system for freelancers, I decided to just use an employer of records. That's Remote.

What do you like best about Remote.com?

Everything was so easy while working with the Remote team. Whenever I had a problem, I had 24 hour help which I was getting a response immediately. They are caring about their employees so much.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

I don't have any bad experience, everything was so good.

They pay my salary according to the needs of my country. They make my social security and organize my communication for the company I work for. They also organize my payrolls.

What do you like best about Remote.com?

- great account executives who answered all my silly very specific questions - always kept me up to date on what was happening - had a recent issue with emails notifications, they got back to me within 12 hours with a quick resolution - feels like they were on your side throughout the whole process even if it's just 1 person i was going to use it for

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

hard to say as only used it for 1. One that got me a bit confused are the diff user access, the manager of the employee couldn't get notifs regarding holidays or requests (equipment) unless they were admin which i had to do. Again this was OK to do with 1 employee but wouldn't be able to give this access to multiple managers

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

- we didnt have an entity in Denmark, where we wanted to hire someone asap. Remote was a quick solution!

The Remote's web user interface is easy to use. All the information and documents related to onboarding and payslips can be accessed through a single pane of glass. Support representatives are kind and always find a way to help you.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

As Remote works through locally established companies in the countries where they provide the service, some support tickets related to these local companies can take longer to resolve.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

When I was onboarded in the first quarter of this year, there was no insurance coverage in my country. I live in LATAM. But, after a couple of months it got resolved and now I have full insurance coverage.

What do you like best about Remote.com?

Remote allowed us to employ a team in the UK in minutes and took a ton of stress out of the process. We would have otherwise had to create a UK entity and employed someone to run/manage payroll.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

One of the downsides of using and EOR like Remote is that it limits the types of stock options you can offer your employees, e.g. UK EMI options can't be offered to remote employees.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's complex to set up an entity and run payroll. Remote dramatically simplifies hiring full-time employees. It meant that we were able to employ a team faster and at a lower overhead cost.

I believe Remote is a highly trustable platform. One of the biggest upsides of Remote is Quick Responsiveness.

What do you like best about Remote.com?

The platform is easy to use and intuitive, and it does not show errors while using. I greatly appreciate the support given by the team, because they were greatly quick to answer my questions and even schedule calls to help me with the details.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

Some of my benefits changed, and also the way I am paid. I didn't get the chance to choose how often I'll be paid in a month, and my food card was changed to a meal card. It's not a BAD thing, but since I used this benefit to buy groceries, it does impact my day-to-day life. They don't charge extra for it though, which is good.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Remote makes working remotely easy and more reliable, since it makes sure our contracts are compliant with local law and regulations. It is indeed a great platform to ensure everything is legally done and goes on smoothly.

What do you like best about Remote.com?

Easy, simple, good UI and any person I have had contact with has been very helpful. Additionally, from starting with Remote, all local laws were complied with straight away, unlike my previous payment platform.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

Not sure there is anything I can highlight here, nothing comes to mind. Everything so far has been great and no complaints or suggestions for improvements that I can think of.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Local taxation laws. Previous payment platform did not know or understand this and as a result taxed me incorrectly, and took 6 months of back and forth to explain why they were wrong and how they had overtaxed me. Remote got it right from day one.

Remote.com enables companies outside your country to hire you and pay you without complicating things for them. Easy onboarding and great support. It provides endless support and gives you value for what you pay.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

Nothing so far. The experience was seamless and smooth. Pricing can be reduced a little. The support team was accommodating during the document submission phase. Remote.com also allows you to amend a contract several times and is embedded with document-signing apps.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps to hire talent remotely while removing all the problems related to payroll, leave management, KYC. Remote.com has support for a lot of countries to hire talent and manage the day-to-day related to employee/ contract management. This increase the business reach by hiring the right talent across the globe.

What do you like best about Remote.com?

Everything is seamless with Remote, their online dashboard lets you view payslips, log expenses, upload documents for onboarding. The company I work for is based in the US and I'm from the UK so it's a must-have for anyone in a similar situation.

What do you dislike about Remote.com?

The only gripe I had was I had to complete some anti-harassment training that was very irrelevant to me. I work remotely as a developer and the training content was all related to in-person office related stuff.

What problems is Remote.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

I previously had to be self-employed so had to complete my own tax returns and manage my own pension. With Remote I can be on PAYE and have the pension managed by them, it's been much easier to apply for a mortgage/credit cards etc by having full employment.
