It is a user friendly and helpful tool that helps you to do Digital Research. Number of features are good here. It is easy to implement.
Better customer support would be a huge value add.
It helps me to analyse the traffic on a particular website. This helps in our market and competitive Intelligence.
Different useful modules, both with external sources and capacities to measure internal business KPIs, and all very intuitiev to use.
Might be too big if you don't need all of the functionalities.
Easy dashboarding on big datasets, I would otherwise have to source from different places and redo the analysis every time.
ease of use, UX design, insights into websites, SEO optimisation
would prefer to have deeper inisghts into keywords that are recommended for the supplier
helps us understand keywords and their traffic - helps us understand which keywords to target. Also helps us understand retailer website traffic, seasaonality of web traffic and conversion
I like the quick snapshots and metrics for company websites - it allows me to quickly identify high potential opportunities and growth targets.
It would be nice to have unique user visits per month. For now, it is just displayed as overall user visits per month.
Similarweb quickly gives a snapshot of the company and how it relates within its industry. This helps me determine the highest opportunities and the highest growth industries to target and focus on.
The SimilarWeb user interface is really intuitive and requires very little training. The comprehensive dashboard and competitive website analysis is a feature I use all the time and a feature that my clients love!
The only downside (and this may just be lack of knowledge) is sometimes I feel like I'm not using all of the features to their full advantage. Some extra training may be helpful to understand what else I can tap into.
I do a lot of competitive comparisons for clients and having SimilarWeb makes assessing website data so much easier!
For me I love it because it's easy to use. Plus from my experience, it's signifanctly more accurate than other tools. It gives me exactly what I need for what I need it for (which, for me, is researching companies to reach out to - I'm using in conjunction with other tools). We use it on a daily basis!
For my purposes it does what we need honestly. If I were using it for typical purposes like SEO, I would probably like to see just a little more organization maybe?
I'm using it primarily as a tool to figure out which companies to reach out to, in an attempt to potentially acquire them. We use it to research what SEO/PPC they're doing, along with the overall number of visits. Plus competitors.
Their insights are super helpful and give us a big leg up in understanding competitor activity as well as market benchmarks, market norms and adjustments. Having the ability to gather this information outside the UK in a way that's accurate, comprehensive and easy-to-access is crucial to our work, our clients and our success. The customer support is great and our Account Manager Delaney really understands our objectives and requirements.
My only (albeit very minor) gripe with Similarweb is that the up-to-date data for the previous month isn't available in full for about 14-15 days into the subsequent month (in April for March, for example). This isn't a huge deal day-to-day, but does sometimes delay client reports and the able to analyse activity in full for slightly longer than we would like.
The main issue that Similarweb supports us with is transparency and accuracy when looking at competitor and market intelligence in other countries and languages. This is key for us as we're based in the UK with 90% of our team based here, so it can be difficult to get trustworthy results for English-speaking international countries, let alone within non-English speaking regions and countries. This is critical for both our team's and our client's understanding of non-UK market conditions, benchmarks and intelligence.
Detailed search of phrases and keywords.
When I export excel with keywords list and then add new keywords into the list - it becomes impossible to export again updated list with new keywords. It just exports the same excel file which I gained with old set of keywords within the list. We have to create a new list, search again and add new keywords. This should be fixed.
We buld content portals and it helps a lot with finding necessary topics.
I particularly value SimilarWeb for its in-depth and accurate analytics which provide a clear view of website traffic and competitive landscape. The platform's user-friendly interface makes navigating through various metrics effortless, enabling me to quickly gather insights on audience behavior and market trends. This helps immensely in refining digital marketing strategies and understanding competitor moves. Overall, SimilarWeb's comprehensive data and easy-to-use features make it an essential tool in my digital toolkit.
I have nothing to dislike about Similar web.
Competitor analyses, staying relevant in search terms.
What I like best about Similarweb is its ability to provide a holistic view of website traffic and user engagement. The way the platform offers insights into not only our own website but also competitors, enables us to benchmark performance against industry standards for relevant clients. The intuitive interface is also a highlight that makes it simple to navigate through a wealth of data.
What I like least about Similarweb is the length of time it takes to fully understand and master the tool. However this may not necessaraly be a bad thing.
Similarweb untangles the digital landscape for us by streamlining the competitor reasearch we carry out.
