SimilarWeb has a wide array of different measures and ways to view and compare KPIs that allows for easier and more insightful. It is my work app of choice now.
SimilarWeb has many different tools and things can get confusing to keep up with. More tutorials, pointers, and tips on-screen to help would go a long way to ease work.
SimilarWeb is solving the problem of difficult reporting, review and dashboard creation by easing the process through its user-friendly platform that has all the necessary marketing tools in 1 place.
It's a tool easy to use, giving you enough insight to evaluate markets and online players. It's possible to dig into channel traffic, understand acquisition logic, demographic and behavioral
It's not easy to recover previous data, if you need to recover a trend is a little bit more complex. Anyway since quality of data are high, is a tolerable minus for a tool like this.
Without Similarweb could be not so easy to analyze traffic for competitors or shares of the market among more players. Moreover, you can explore the apps market and customize data view.
The platform provides amazing web analytics and offers information on clients as well as competitors' web traffic and performance. The best part about the platform is its very user-friendly interface and preloaded visualizations as well as reliable data.
A couple of shortcomings: Lack of unique visitor tracking, Web traffic is purely desktop traffic and it seems less accurate with smaller websites (under 50K monthly visits)
Super amazing Web Intelligence platform providing invaluable competitor insights. Problems that it solves are Audience Insights, Conversion Analysis, Market & Company Research, Benchmarking, Competitive Insights, Store Page Analysis, and Mobile Apps Analysis. Benefits:- It remains fast despite the tremendous amount of data it fetches and the sharp visuals it produces, Data visualization, Info Buttons, Data Descriptions and platform automatically fills in competitor names based on its database, making it easier to find what you’re looking for.
One of the best features is the ability to export custom dashboards in the form of PPTs which saves plenty of time as they can be directly used with minor changes in the presentations. A direct comparison with our competitors of choice helps in benchmarking industry standards and helps us in maintaining significant business numbers ex: DAU/MAU ratio, session time, bounce rates etc.
Although their support team keeps conducting training sessions about newly released features, we are still hesitant and not fully confident about the use cases of certain features. More detailed feedback on how to improve the landing page experience and how our competitors are doing it would be appreciated.
We use similar web for keeping a check on our competitor's activities, increases/decreases in their website's organic and paid traffic, and new ad creatives that they started using in the marketing channels. Ad intelligence is something that we get on Facebook ads library too but similar web provides us insights into their Google Display Campaigns too. Similar sites feature provides brilliant search ideas that can be used in our marketing campaigns.
I really like the different perspectives included in Similarweb dashboards. It's often the case that using internal analytics it is either difficult or time-consuming to get insights into your platform on a day to day basis, and that readily available through the preconfigured dashboards in Similarweb.
Im not a fan of recent visual changes that were introduced. The old design for me was more intuitive. Sometimes when you want to check out some smaller company or competitor there is not enough data to take a look at.
With Similarweb I have easy and fast access to most relevant data regarding traffic on my site. It saves time for analysts, as I can check trends myself and only If I spot some positive or negative trends ask analysts to investigate deeper.
Simple, easy to use interface. Great insights into keywords and competitors and even suggestions for affiliate research.
When you switch between reports, the market selection goes back to default - this causes errors when quickly exporting data for later analysis.
Keyword research, market insights, competitor analysis. Great way to identify growth potential.
What I like the most is that we have criteria to have a good base of prospects. We no longer waste time sourcing all the websites, but instead optimize our work.
At the time of the search, the page is not at the time you left it, but you go from the main page .I don't have many negative points.
The problems that I solve are the lack of time to be able to search for new accounts. Now I am more productive with a well-generated database and I have more time to search for prospects within accounts.
Similarweb covers all the performance channels I need and helps position me as an industry expert in almost every industry. From macro analysis down to deep channel analysis, this is a MUST for a digital native.
Sometimes it's difficult to articulate the value of the data to a client.
Helping to identify and grow online market share
Great insights into prospect's/client's/competitor's traffic mix. I use it for prospecting (e.g. finding websites similar to an great performing client) and for showcasing my understanding of a prospect's business and to pinpoint missing opportunities in their traffic mix
Pricing can be quite expensive if you need almost all modules.
It helps me to find clients within a similar setup compared to existing and well-performing clients. In addition, it a great source for preparing ice-breaking insights into missed traffic opportunities for prosepcting
SimilarWeb is always adapting its tools to give users a better experience with increased web data and additional services to build a web strategy that would enhance the web positionf
So many new features appeared at one point, that i couldn't find my previous saved data, so it took some time to find my way through the new web design. eventually it worked as well as before
my goal is to find new solutions for the web strategy and some benefits from similarWeb are helping me get a new insight in keywords, referrals and most of all competition
The analytics function is superb: - Traffic benchmarking - Paid media campaigns benchmarking - Creative research
If there is one thing I dislike about Similarweb would the limited function of tracking social presence of my competitors
I am in a constant need to benchmark my brand vs my competitors and this tool is my go to tool for that. How SimilarWeb helps me: - Allow me to plan for my SEM and GDN budget to defend my marketshare through benchmarking and this has resulted in my unaided awareness to go up by 2pp vs last year - Allow me to understand my core contents strengths and weaknesses so that I can plan my organic contents plan accordingly - Allow me to bid on the right keywords for SEM
I'm in sales, so I use SimilarWeb for two things: 1. Prospecting, 2. Demonstrating my understanding of my prospects' business. For prospecting, I can quickly export a pdf that shows key metrics against head-to-head competitors. This gets buyers' attention. During a sales cycle, I go into SimilarWeb to research hidden competitors, small or large gaps in performance, or to show what an aspirational company does to drive customers/prospects down the conversion funnel.
I haven't found it particularly helpful with regards to app data.
It helps me drive net-new meetings and equips me with information that helps me build credibility with my prospects during a sales cycle. When I have a fundamental understanding of a prospect's business, that gives my words more weight when it matters.
It is a very user-friendly fast tool to get actionable insights about anyone on the web!
Some of the locked-out functionality is frustrating at times when you just want more insights!
Tracking external competitors' performance as well as understanding trends online is amazingly easy with Similarweb.
the competitive website data where i can see where their traffic came from
the reports exported could get a better format
competitive intelligence and it helps with conquesting
The comprehensiveness of the product gives valuable insights which in turn help in decision making.
There should be more than 5 websites/apps to be compared.
Understanding client's traffic and helping them optimize their digital and website efforts to have more traffic and revenue-generating audiences. It offers amazing comparisons between competitions.
Simplicity of navigation, accuracy of data and the format in which its presented, up to date KPIs, universal coverage of all domains, detailed KPIs anaylsis, consumer trend and customer journey insights and so much more! SEO, its also a superb Prospecting tool! The support from the team is superb, even when I don't have questions they reach out to check in.
Sign ins are sometimes limited based on subscription, but apart from that nothing at all!
Data insights, website comparisions (such as traffic, bounce websites, page durations, unique visitations), side by side analysis of retailers and websites to assess prospecting, NPD launches etc. Its been invaluable to help us carve out and define our brand strategy from a retailer distribution angle.
SimilarWeb has been an amazing tool that has helped me and my team tremendously to research potential business partners. Not only can we monitor the traffic in different geos, but also the keywords they rank on. I always recommend SimilarWeb to businesses that want to get to the next level of their journey.
It can be a bit too expensive when you want to work with more geos. In addition, the chat hasn't worked properly for me. Also, it would be cool to have a pro version of the chrome extension.
I'm mostly looking at other competitors, searching for new potential partners, looking through the numbers in terms of traffic and keywords rankings, as well as comparing partners.
Easy to use tool to analyse competitors domains in regards of traffic sources, users engagement and top content.
Country filters are great way to deep dive into specific market, but it comes at an extra cost.
Similarweb we are using to discover potential new traffic sources as well as understanding user behavior online while looking for specific information.
New marketing insights. I could see text ads copy examples, display ads, ads platforms my competitors are targeting. Also specific LP for specific keywords.
Websites with little amount of traffic don't have data.
Competitive research and creative directions
The ease to work , Accuracy in data, Easy to Analyse
Ask's for verification code often that is only glitch
We are analysing traffic monitoring monthwise
