I like that I can look at competitor information and which affiliate partners are working with their site. I like that you can view worldwide results or break it down by country.
Downloading reports are slow. I can only see the date up to the previous month and not what happened over the last week
The problem it is solving is that I'm unable to see which affiliate partners are performing well for competitor brokers. It allows me to find the best affiliates to partner with them. The benefits are that I can find new potential affiliate partners quicker
Its very simple and usefull, me and my team enjoy in every month strategy. We can run and compare data of our brand with the competitors and wich form we can respond the demand of out target
For me, its a complete tool, I dont dislike anything I use to brand projects, but too little projects and campaigns. I use research to prove how our brand is and how we can do better
We think about years ago that we know a lot about our product and business, but similar web help us telling insights about the target and etc, compare to the competitors and we can do some actions to better our organic, direct and paid results
SimilarWeb helps me review and analyze potential client traffic and engagement and provide insight into their market. I can quickly see where we can help and strategy.
I would like the option to try some of the locked features I don't have in our current plan. Accuracy could be improved on site traffic but I take all stats with SW with a grain of salt.
The biggest way SW is benefiting me is the insight into new and potential clients' performance and traffic along with the stats of the national average. It's reassuring to know and explain why traffic may be down and how to combat it to improve.
SimilarWeb offers an expansive array of data and different metrics to give your site a clear-cut advantage in the way it collects insight into its competitors.
I have not yet encountered any aspect of Similar Web that would cause me to have reservations about its use. Thus far it has played an instrumental role in my team's ability to generate leads.
The main initiative we are using SimilarWeb for is lead generation. While the Similar Web chrome extension is already very helpful and useful as an ancillary tool, we needed to glean an additional layer of depth into various sites' publishing partners and content.
The Lead generator tool is very interesting.
it would be even better if we had an option to see all the traffic coming from outside the company's country even if there are different countries on our list.
With SimilarWeb, i can have an idea of the traffic generated by the biggest e-commerce, and make estimation of their volumes ...
The ease of use and its menu system is extremely intuitive. The dashboards and metrics are laid out in a clear format, along with a very specific flow for better insights extraction and digestion. Most importantly, the data captured makes rational sense.
It can't capture as much app data as I would have liked. But everything else is good.
The clarity and visibility of my clients' competitors' traffic performance are immensely helpful to determine how best I can help my clients strategise their business objectives and tactics in the current market.
SimilarWeb gives accurate data about important sites all around the globe. Knowing where the traffic comes from each specific site is a very valuable information
SimilarWeb takes a long time to update statistics. Data is usually refreshed at the beginning of a new month. They could show daily date and up to time date
They show valuable statistics of many sites. You can look at where the traffic from each site is coming from. For my business, is valuable information and use on a daily basis.
Source-wise traffic data App Analysis Engagement Analysis Category Overview
It does not give city and state-level cut for India market.
In the digital age, its important to keep a close track on your competition activities and similarweb is giving indepth analysis.
Excellent media mix, competitive insights, ability to pivot on variety of metrics, and additional insights/trends. Ongoing dashboarding/reporting is very valuable in ongoing monitoring and reporting vs. competitive set.
Due to more advanced nature of paid product, it does require some training to understand the platform and get the most value out of the tools.
Understanding competitive benchmarking & progress Identifying demographic marketing opportunities Troubleshooting business softness to understand relative trends
insights to my prospects' online business
nothing yet. I have access to what I need.
I wouldnt know details about their SEm initiative or # of site visits etc
save me time, prospecting potential leads in the ecosystem web. My function in this role is to look in the web e-commerce new leads, but the leads need to have some requirements to be a potential leads.
I dislike in sometimes, that the platform asks me for my credentials all the time, so I think that this could be fixed to have a better user experience to login in.
The principal problem for us is that the leads that I talk, they tell me for example, "in one month, I have more than +200k visits" so, I enter Similar Web and confirm if the number is very close or not, in the most of the time the lead are lying to me, so the price that I give to this lead is very different.
Comparing multiple websites simultaneously
Export to excel should be included for free
I think there's nothing to solve
Lots of great insights for digital media which we use for our current clients and prospective clients. Interface is easy to use and the customer service has been great.
At times I've felt like the platform almost has too many possibilities and there was a small learning curve at the onset. But this isn't really a huge concern though.
It helps us keep up with what our competitors are doing in digital media, allowing us to bring those insights to clients to inform strategy, budgeting, and creative decisions.
What i like best is comprehensive information on all relevant metrics such as site-level traffic, visits and even country ranks at a subcategory level which can be extremely useful for ecommerce companies and digital marketing firms such as the one I work with.
I havent come across anything to dislike. However quite a few features come at a higher premium which is ofcourse more expensive than a basic license can offer. Other than it is perfect and user friendly !
It helps me understand whether digital campaigns for brands are performing well or not by giving me a snapshot of BAU traffic and visits, site loading time and overall ad penetration of the advertiser.
The way it shows country-wise unique visitors and average pages visited are the best metrics i like to use
It should be available for all the countries for each paid subscriber that will help us
Problems like which website is doing well, when compared to other sites & from which website the traffic is coming from
It's great being able to get web and app analytics in the same place, from a consistent source. Additionally, they're constantly updating functionality and data availability. Whenever we've had questions, our account manager has been quick to respond, and they proactively send us reports they believe would be useful to us.
This is the case with all sites we've encountered which provide app data: you have to look at the iOS and Android apps separately. Understand why, but it's a bit of a nuisance.
Similarweb helps us understand what competitors are doing and what seems to be working. We've been able to use the data to improve our forecasting based on early reads of customer behaviors, instead of having to wait for competitors to report earnings.
With enormous data available it's easy to get a good overview of your industry quite quickly, with no difficult paths but easy clickthrough menus. Also insights into how traffic is coming to your competitor's website is a great way to understand if you could improve on certain levels.
The biggest point at this moment is the lack of mobile data in which currently you get not a total view of the market. But this is something they are working on and hopefully, we will see this very soon!
Similarweb helps us to understand our industry and therefore get a grasp on the performance compared to others.
We love the possibility to find detailed statistics on nearly any website, going deeper to find more information on its results. The possibility to compare more websites and create Industries it's then vital to find the overall situation in a competitive landscape. In my team we also love the possibility to share the "industries" we create, working together on the same project. Then, the API connection enables us to create Google Data Studio projects linked to Similarweb data, having a better control on the data we need to share with our clients.
I would simplify the left menu and the path to reach the different tabs, since some visualizations are accessible from different access points. Then, when the website is too small, the indication is "<5000 views", while to obtain the exact number it is necessary to download the data via API; therefore, it's not possible to visualize the exact number in the screenshots.
Similarweb is helping in our market research projects for our clients: we use it to analyze our clients' competitors, their results and their marketing strategies. Then, we use it to quantify the interest for magazines and blogs in specific target markets, to better define the Buyer Personas and their customer journey. Another goal is to understand which websites users visit after a Google search, finding the most relevant and the percentage of users who do not click on any link.
SimilarWeb has been a crucial tool on our web, digital media and competition analysis strategy. It has helped us to undestand the channel source and where our competitors are strong than us, which has translated into strategies that try to steal share on specific channels.
The experience has been great so far. Nothing to dislike. The tool is the best of its kind, we have worked with so far, specially dashboards like audience overlap and demographics have been great!
It has helped us to undestand the channel source and where our competitors are strong than us, which has translated into strategies that try to steal share on specific channels.
My company and I are generally new to Similarweb, but I love being able to show my clients where they rank against the competition in their industry.
Originally we disliked being able to see more than 3 months of historical data, but our AE helped us get a plan where we can now see 12 months and it is awesome!
Similarweb helps solve major problems for me as a media manager. When I try to explain why I recommend or don't recommend keywords, and how to stack up against competitors who are also spending the same percentage on paid media, it is helpful to show them the data behind my recommendations.
