- Modular feature bundles allowing selection of competitive intel, SEO, ads, etc.
- Good benchmarking capabilities vs competitors and industry.
- Cost can be high for small businesses; many useful features are in higher tiers.
- Transparent pricing lacking for enterprise/top tiers; many features require contacting sales.

Was able to successfully use Similar Web to pull in-depth data on top-ranking job board sites in Japan and was even able to break it down by industry. Very impressive!
Would be awesome if there was a way to pull Audience Overlap for each of these industries to show % or # of visitors that my company is not making contact with. I've been advised it is available but not in Pro. All in all, great experience though.
Identifying niche job board websites in different companies in Europe and Japan that may match our partner target audience. Love the. export tool as well. Super easy to use.
Website information about different sources.
Limited information on Apps. It would be beneficial if we could get more information on competitor apps.
It helped in getting information about competitors' marketing activities which led to increased website traffic. It also gave us sources from where this traffic was generated to understand their focus on marketing activities.
Competitive Ad Analysis. The tool allows me to evaluate competitors' online marketing strategies and benchmark their performance on all paid or organic digital media channels.
I personally think all the modules are very important to help with campaign strategies, but the SEO module is the one I use the least because SEO strategies are not the scope of the agency
The tool makes it possible to evaluate the communication of competitors, being very important to define new communication alternatives and definition of benchmarks, generating more inputs for the team. With the World Cup and BlackFriday just around the corner, SimilarWeb helped me spy on the competition's strategy and generate valuable insights into the direction of my clients' campaigns. a great tool to spy on the competition's strategy and generate valuable insights for the direction of my clients' campaigns.
The breadth of merics. The most important metrics for me have been overall traffic and engagement over time, inbound/outbound traffic, and competitor comparison analysis.
Inbound/outbound referral comparions between sites sometimes does not match. More clarity in what are the inputs and definitons into how the values are calculated.
Competitor analysis and customer engagement performance.
Access and usage are intuitive they keep adding capabilities and features
There is nothing in particular that I can think of
Online intelligence that is fast and targeted
SimilarWeb has been fantastic for competitive analysis and building reports to see where we can improve and how we compare to our competitors in traffic, social and other aspects of the business.
So far, we have not found anything that isn't working well for us. If anything, there could be better/more aesthetically pleasing reports, but we have been able to pull the information we need or take screenshots to include the details and images in external reports.
Similarweb has provided a deeper look into our competitors and how we can better shift our strategies to move even further ahead of the competition. It helps us a lot when talking with our senior management and justifying any changes or moving forward with what is working well.
Ability to find important information about any website.
Sometimes the data provided is not accurate.
Inspecting the website of a client/prospect to understand the technologies currently used.
I think that Similarweb is usefull to find data about competitors like download app, audience interests, demographic data, etc. That is possible to find all these data in app, website analysis and also, figure out a lot of data about segment market analysis (eg: entertainment, vehicle, food, travel, etc). Besides that, it is possible to find the most searched keywords within Similarweb and that is the reason I can always find what the people are searching about it and then, obtaining insights for custormes. Until today, I did not find the other tool so rich as Similaweb certainly are. Within the tool, there are lot of possibilities to be explored. I always recommend Similarweb to anyone.
I believe that Similar could release the function of having more personalized dates to analyze the data and also, release the sum of data from android and iOS apps together.
I had no problems with Similarweb until these days. I think all the available resources with the toll are helping me. However, the tool could really allow us to personalize dates and bring us the possibility to see a sum o data from android and iOS app together.
Similarweb has all the functionality we need in one place. Data is clearly presented and the tool is intuitive to use. New users are able to get up and running with minimal training.
There isn't much that would deter me from using the product or from recommending an alternative to a colleague.
Similarweb allows the team to easily and quickly obtain analytics on competitors' and prospective clients' websites. It helps us determine which prospective clients are the best fit for our organization.
Having metrics on websites to allow me identifying lead opportunities.
Sometimes not having metrics on smaller websites, not able to identify niches.
Lead generation, how to find lead in a specific vertical. Ex: pet product e-com website in Ontario
- It enables a more precise approach to understanding where to direct marketing efforts and strategizing. - Very easy to use - In-depth data
It gives a good approximation to numbers in terms of volume but isn't 100% precise. It is still useful as it provides an accurate understanding of market trends
It assists us in identifying partner marketing opportunities, improving our SEO and PPC strategies, and determining how our audience behaves outside of our eco-system.
Competitor insight to identify our share of the market and identifying opportunities for future products.
Limited to 5 competitors when downloading a data set
The tool enables you to see what else is happening with the market outside of our own site. This enables us to make pragmatic decisions without always pointing inwards.
. The domain and device data are profit companies.
Similarweb could not keep the historical data. We have to buy the data for each month and keep it by ourselves.
The webpage traffic, the channels, the device, the domains. The paid and organic. Yes, it benefits to save time.
The new feature for segment site analysis is a must-have in our routine.
I can't to say what that i dislike in Similarweb platform
Similarweb is part of our routine of prospecting new clients, validating strategies applied in media and SEO, as well as monitoring the competition.
Similarweb has helped us greatly in gauging competitor landscape and aligning our marketing strategies accordingly. Data from SimilarWeb is always accurate and trust worthy.
For the sites which are relatively new and do not have considerable traffic, the insights are limited in SimilarWeb. This is something which needs to be worked upon.
Guaging where our competition is investing in terms of user acquisition through their traffic types is something which is immensely helpful for us from Similarweb.
Comparisons between competitors, funding information, site traffic
To be completely honest, all features are extremely beneficial
Gaining more insight into companies, funding, competitive landscape, etc.
SimilarWeb is an incredible competitive traffic and intelligence platform unlike any other. It is pretty tough to identify only one thing that I like best! From a user experience standpoint, there is no comparison. SimliarWeb is hands-down the best option on the market for accessing competitor marketing insights month-to-month or year over year. Their customer support team is also without comparison and is always available 24/7 to answer your questions and concerns. Our shift to SimilarWeb has been excellent, and our efficiency has increased drastically.
It is very challenging to find anything to dislike. The platform is excellent, the team behind the product is fantastic, and the company's production roadmap looks bright!
We found SimilarWeb while researching a competitor intelligence platform that could inform our marketing and sales teams. After one introductory conversation, we knew we had found the perfect partner. They were attentive to our needs, informative, and even had our data prepped for our first walkthrough session.
The new google ads based reports came with a real cool bunch of insights regarding our direct competition. It was always asked by every single client, big or small.
Its a feature, but we should have at least 3 "free" countries in our account. The european market is really global, and it would just give agencies more thist to buy them all
Find meaningfull insights about competitors, witch results in fine tunning my campaigns and adjust to the market in almost real time. Have an eagle eye view in my market
The different lenses we were able to use to dissect data across the internet.
I would have liked the data to be refreshed more frequently.
Adding an extra layer of data to our decision-making process.
Similarweb helps us know all specific account engagements before we use them as our partners. If we have accurate data, working with a certain person will lead to positive outcomes.
What I dislike about Similarweb is that sometimes there's still an issue, such as an error on the website. We had already unlocked it at the time, but suddenly it locked again, requiring us to pay more to unlock an account to access the data.
Similarweb shows us all the engagement data for the profile we are searching for. The precise information offered is highly beneficial for our needs since we searched for that data.
The market analysis section. It gives detailed information on different chosen industries.
That U can't look day to day and the smallest/closest window is the last 28 days.
Finding competiors in different search buckets.
I mostly use SimilarWeb to check our competitors and how they get traffic to their websites. I can extract their organic pages and keywords to develop our content strategy. This feature alone makes it the most superior tool you must have if you want to get ahead of your competitors. In addition to that, I also love the nice-looking PDF reports it generates.
SimilarWeb is so vast and offers so many features that it sometimes becomes overwhelming. It keeps offering more and more new features every week, which is a good thing, but it cannot be enjoyable sometimes if you're an old-school person like me. I like things to be very simple and basic looking but at the same time with all the advanced features. There's that.
It is best at competitor research and analysis. I also use it for keyword research, finding referral websites, and checking monthly traffic. I'm currently trying to learn website segmentation.
The training sessions from the account managers are great and show that the company have a great understanding of what people use the tool for.
It would be great to see more development around audience profiling
Helping to see what people are searching to land on pages is a great help for seeing how people use search to find news on certain topics
How varied and insightful the data is to be able to make clear decisions
I wish everything was unlocked automatically
Understanding our audience
Ease of navigating and all round great user experience.
I believe this is only Android data. Our business is predominately iOS users.
Looking at what customers in australia are searching for, and where our company sits in market share.
Great customer support, useful insights and interesting new features added regularly. Our rep helped us integrate the API into a day-to-day usage of the platform.
Certain features could do with being updated with mobile data more quickly. Major bugbear is export formatting: when exporting weekly, w/c day changes every month & when exporting visits by marketing channel, the export is incredibly fiddly to process to be useful.
Directional insights into our client's competitors, including extra useful features like the Segment analyses and traffic by marketing channel
I love using SimilarWeb. Instead of having to go to tons of places to find all the information you can get everything in one place and compare different websites and metrics in only minutes.
I wish it had more details but not every company shares it all. Would love data for add to cart or checkout information by product.
This solves being able to look at different companies and do competitive analysis to see how you can improve in your business based off what others might be doing. Also, keywords can help adjust where you spend money based on customer searches.
Competitive insights and historical data availability
limitation around special features even for corporate customers, never sure where the limitations will pop up
Business and marketing insights, ability to benchmark and compare the performance of a client with the industry or competitor space
I like being able to see my website compared on an apples-to-apples basis with my competitor's websites. This gives me insight into the areas where my site is performing well versus areas for improvement.
Because of the methodology, Similarweb is less precise than standard site analytics tools like Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics. The upside of this is the comparison data and analytics of activities outside of my website.
I am trying to see how my website compares to competitor websites. I use this to examine acquisition channels versus competitors. I also look for opportunities in paid media.
The easy of use in compare to other platforms. I
Paying for more features :( , some move should be available for the basic costs.
Gives us access to seeing other competitors data.
