Slite Reviews: 4.6/5 — Highly Rated
Slite is an AI-powered knowledge base and documentation tool for teams. It helps capture, organize, verify, search, and maintain company documentation with agentic AI that spots stale docs, drafts missing content from connected tools (GitHub, Linear, Slack, etc.), answers questions with citations, and supports workflows for verifying and keeping docs up to date. Slite emphasizes strong search, integrations, compliance, and a focused knowledge-base experience rather than general project management.

I love how simple it is to use Slite. It has a beautiful and minimal design, and it keeps all my documents nice and organized. I love that I can easily invite collaborators on documents and how easily everyone picks up how to use Slite so we can focus on the work that needs to get done.
I wish when I logged into Slite, instead of "Updates" it showed me my "Recents" aka the documents I last visited.
We use Slite internally to document all of our processes. We also use it for content writing and share the documents with contractors for collaboration. It's the knowledge hub for our business.
I honestly love the simplicity of the interface. It's very easy to navigate and intuitive in setting up pages and structure. I also love that you can do a lot with the pages (add videos, add links, tie-in with Google). It's a great way to document and share a company's internal ways.
I do wish it was a little better in allowing for "book" style structuring. Allow me to create and move pages in the order I want in tables, etc.
Our team and company has always struggled with keeping documentation in one location for those that need it to get the information easily. Slite has fully accomplished this for us. All the data is there and searchable for team members. No more looking in 6 places.
The Ask AI feature is beyond helpful for a small but growing team. We've moved away from M365 and all of our documentation is now hyper connected, as such we can work better, quicker and leverage our collective knowledge for our clients' benefit. The UX/UI is simple and smooth without being overly complicated. Loving the Google integration. We are recommending to all of our clients.
Very long documents take significant processing power to display and utilise
Slite has helped us to solve issues with siloed knowledge. It makes our data dynamically searchable and is easier to access and orientate between documents.
Slite's real-time collaborative editing has been a game-changer for us. Whether we're brainstorming ideas, outlining project plans, or documenting important decisions, the ability to work together seamlessly in real-time fosters a sense of unity and productivity among our team members.
challenges accessing and editing notes without an internet connection, which can be inconvenient for those who work in areas with poor connectivity.
The use of Markdown in Slite is a brilliant choice. It allows us to format text effortlessly, ensuring our documents are not only well-organized but also visually appealing. This simplicity in formatting contributes to a smoother note-taking experience.
Easy of use and continuously updating and adding relevant features.
Logs me out of the app frequently and my password doesn't save, this is on desktop.
We needed a place to store and create documentation.
Very intuitive software with frequent updates that delight the whole team! Everybody in the team adapted quickly and uses it actively.
AI features could be a bit fine-tuned, but this is a new product!
As a remote team, communication is one of the largest challenges, Slite takes this away!
I have used many tools dedicated to document not only technical projects but also company culture and office amenities at the same time, and other solutions would excel in one and fall short at the other. Slite with it's great editor makes it easy for me to write technical documentations and for other members to write how to disarm the office alarm. And also, we had an issue with one of our documents and we were able to get an actual technical person to reach out to us and fix the bug in a matter of days.
I wish that I could have vim keybindings in the editor (or, even better, allow me to edit documents from my own editor — but I know this can be tricky)
It's realy ease to link related documents together and tag team members that might have more expertise to improve the current document
Its easy to use for non-technical people. It's a great tool for the whole team with live updating and provides a single source of truth in our software agency. Customer support is excellent and best of all, it's constantly being improved.
The templating in the sketch functionality doesn't save.
Helps us avoid having lots of orphaned and out-of-date documents.
Slite is very helpful in term of organization and team collaboration. I love the fact that you are able to customize permissions with other users and we're able to build our company handbook for Administrators and Field Workers. It's easy to use and once you get a hang of it's functionalities, you'll love it! We are constantly adding to it daily, transferring all information from our Google Drive to the Slite platform. We use it daily and happy that we found it.
At the moment, there is nothing that I dislike about Slite. 10/10 as of now.
Buidling our company handbook and keeping things organized. It benefits the entire team now that we are able to house our policies in one place and collab when necessary.
I like that this is a great way to access and edit "living documents" and can navigate related documents in a website style rather than going through individual folders stored on a cloud/drive system. I use this in a research lab, in which I can have a project heading and can add instructions, scripts, different information on how to navigate the projects, and also update files as we go. This way, I can always make sure that my teammates and assistants have access to the most updated version of these documents.
I wouldn't use this with anything that has identifiable information, or needs to be stored with all file versions. I don't use any file that I don't want to be accidentally updated or changed. I think that this is supposed to be for 'living documents' and is excellent for remote training and onboarding for various projects and work environments. However, it's not for storing all your documents.
Like I mentioned before, this has been an excellent tool for onboarding and training people remotely. They can read background information, project responsibilities, keep a log of their work for everyone to see! It's cut down on time we spend on video meetings and is much easier to navigate than many folders on a drive!
Real-time, seemless collaboration. You can create an excellent documentation structure and use lots of available styling options to make it look good! Great support!
The notification options sometimes do not deliver to users' emails. I tried looking around for it but wasn't able to get it to work. I talked about it with the support team and they are working on it!
We do not have to have locally stored documentation and can use an online tool for it. It is great because we eliminate any error that could happen with local documents
The recent product updates including knowledge management option, easy to use, customer support, easy to find content, the private channel option and product design.
I'd like to see an initial page on Slite, where we can customize as we wish and include the channels we want on the spothlight; Admins having all rights do moderate content without workarounds.
Knowledge base management: we can easily edit our knowledge base, the webinars with knowledge management specialist help with valuable insights, AI integration seems very promissing.
The simplicity by using the platform is amazing.
Maybe they can add some format funcionalities, but as it is, is very good for me.
Our greatest callenge was encourage the team to document, we tried this with others platforms, but the team was distracted by so many functionalities. Now the team is focused on documenting internal proceses, technical info, etc.
I like Slite beacause it's simple to use and a collaborative plateform. The team is always available when in need of an answer.
Nothing special, i would use some colors
I centralise my notes in it. It allows me to find every piece of information. We use it also in the agency as our "wiki". We write a lote of content in order to form ourselves about many subjects.
Creating and sharing development and process documents
Maybe more control showing sub-document links. Bit I'm splitting hairs.
Allows us to share documents across teams without a lot of faff with formatting. Less is more.
How complete it is. The tool is straightforward, easy to use, yet it has all the features and views necessary to create various notes directory
Nothing rings a bell. I only like Slite.
It allows different teams and departments to store in one place all their procedures, SOPs, notes and other written documents. Thanks to how Slite is designed, everybody can quickly access information need and make sure current notes directory is up to date.
- All our documentation, reporting, and playbooks are centralized on Slite - We can work with colleagues at the same time in the same document - Organisations per department/team
That would be great to have a project management feature into Slide
collaboration, conversations, and documentation
Just how easy it is to learn and start using it, the learning curve was pretty low and fun
keyboard shortcuts were a little hard to learn but I am accustomed now, however they can still be improved more.
Slite helps you maintain a knowledge base and take notes, It is helping our company to collaborate lot easier, no offline docs needed, everything is on Slite
Slite has been particularly helpful for me because it is so easy to navigate and all the information that I need is properly categorised. I also like I have so many different characters and emojis to use, which makes my overall experience with it very enjoyable. Slite was my go-to, especially when I just joined the organisation because a simple search would show me exactly what I needed, and where I could find specific information.
I do not have any problems with Slite yet, and I have been using it consistently for a few weeks.
Slite is solving the problem of having a centralised knowledge bank for a remote team. It also solves the problem of clutter by the way that it is structured. It helped to make the onboarding process so much easier to handle. Everything is in one place and this helps me to be more efficient and effective in my role.
It makes building and sharing work with my teammates feel thoughtful, organized and intentional.
Not much so far. There are a few technical optimizations I'd like, like being able to link multiple docs in a single column, but nothing major.
Problems: our documents were previously managed in Notion; we found that generally disorganized, hard to find things, and hard to see what the latest/greatest was. How Slite is benefiting us: organization just feels cleaner ("just works"); app feels faster; and lots of product touches have made it easy to see what's up-to-date vs WIP. Just way more delightful. We're happy users.
I genuinely enjoy all the widgets Slite provides, which make it super intuitive and flexible across all use cases. I also enjoy how frequently it is updated with quality features.
I sometimes get frustrated by the mobile performance of certain longer documents, especially when using multiple styling techniques in the same document. I also believe the search functionality can be improved overall.
It helps me have my library of professional information at my fingertips. Whether I need to access it quickly in a discovery meeting or when presenting a proposal for quick fact-finding, it gets the job done. Plus, it allows me to organize my professional life.
The UX/UI of the app, the different blocks available and the practicity of the folders for notes.
Some long notes, with lots of smart tables and data can be quite slow.
Documentation clarity & availability, notes management & team work for shared datas & files that is beautiful and fast.
The editing and linking of documents is so straightforward I was wondering if I was missing something. I can use markdown if I choose, or use the keyboard shortcuts for various formatting and editing tools. All this allows me to create project documentation with near-zero learning curve.
To be perfectly honest, I have yet to find anything to dislike. Perfectly honest
Slite provides a central location for project documentation, without the formatting quirks of some tools (Evernote comes to mind), and certainly with a smoothly operating interface.
Instant edit mode and all the smart tools. Go and type instead of waiting for loading pages or finding notes among an endless tree of content. Right there, type and sort and add and arrange and... think of confluence on a speed. But lighter and uncomplicated. If we had slite before adopting confluence... Just awesome
Not allowing to rearrange outlines with child items. Each line is a line. Apart from that, well, there's nothing else to complain about. Maybe a couple of integrations like Google calendar and a better PadOs app. Maybe columns or blocks to allow to split notes vertically (like confluence or notion) But honestly it's impossible to dislike slite.
Quick note taking Quick notes organising and reviewing Work planning Project planning It's soooo plastic. And it even has sketches! I've been searching for an app that allows to take notes in multiple different styles and structures without the cumbersome experience of entering edit mode - the waiting it's so annoying, then publish then re-enter edit for another change... Slite is a wiki in a breeze
It's easy to use/collaborate with coworkers and offers templates to help get started
Not a lot of options for exporting or importing files.
It houses all of our important company docs that I can reference at any time plus day-to-day process docs.
Slite makes it easy to retrieve information relevant to my work. use of search option Information is organized in a way that makes accessible any changes made in my workspace; this ensures no new updates go unnoticed.
Slite is an efficient application. i do not have any dislikes id like to present at the moment
Slite saves me time. By having all the relevant information in my workspace in one application that is easy to use and access.
The simplicity of use. It is user-friendly and contains all the needed features (adding charts, emoticons, images, links, etc).
I did not encounter any difficulties using Slite, so currently I have nothing to dislike
Slite allows us to have a shared company library where all the documents are accessible easily.
I like that we can share some files for the team. We can consult these everytime. We can share some documents, videos and the various procedures for the applications we use within our company. And we can modify documents directly.
We don't have anything against Slite. The team and I are pleased with Slite. We don't want to use another platform for our work. We hope that Slite rests with us !
Slite benefits the team and me because we can see every process on Slite's platform. We can share everything about our work. I am pleased about the search button because it is easy to use, and we can try everything !
the user experience is excellent, it is very easy to use. I really like the features
I sometimes get a little slow some larger articles. the tool is also a little expensive for those who pay from Brazil.
Organizing company knowledge to be shared among employees and leaders has always been a problem here. With Slite we were able to centralize and make the content more accessible to everyone.
It's very fast to create content using Slite. The editor works just the way it should.
Slite does not have two-factor authentication.
Slite gives us a platform on which we can create living, always up-to-date documentation.
