It's a really flexible, powerful content platform that really allows you to shape your content and then consume it however you wish. It's really easy to get started, has a free 'community tier and integrates really quickly and easily into most UI projects. I use it daily at the moment and will be using it moving forward for all my client projects where they need a fully-featured, yet flexible CMS solution. For example, I use Astro and Storyblok integrates in under 5 minutes with no fussing or faffing.
The built-in datasources could be more useful if they allowed for tiered key relations. For example, if you need something like a country > city relationship using the built-in Storyblok datasources, you'll struggle. But this isn't a database, it's a CMS. The main blocker sometimes is the pricing. The community (i.e. free) tier is really great and very generous, but after this it's a large jump to the entry level pricing tier. This is oftern overkill for smaller projects or for some clients.
As a Jamstack-oriented web developer, my main focus is on providing great content experiences to clients' end users. One of the best ways to do this is via a platform like Storyblok as it allows clients to focus on their content and allows me to focus on consuming that content using the best technical means appropriate for the project.
Block componentes definition and console simplicity
Pricing is to high for workspace........
Content administraton flexibility
Great preview feature that makes a difference comparing to other CMS platforms.
Minor bugs. I can live with them as they not break the overall experience.
When we were looking for a headless CMS solutions, there was nothing to compare with Storyblok reagarding flexibility, ease of use and the amazing preview feature that makes the introduction of new content much easier.
Even though Storyblok is primarily a headless system, the in-site editing features are really great for editors and make a difference compared to other headless CMS. Developers love it, Editors love it.
For some cutomers with lots of editors, the pricing can be tough. For all others, it's a great fit.
Development with Storyblok is really fast, interfaces to other systems are easy to implement and also allow orchestration of different technologies from one spot.
We initially tried it because the pricing is fantastic for small teams (with a generous free tier) and stayed because it wokrs like a charm, integrates perfectly with vue.js, has an image service built it and is lightning fast and provides a solid SEO base.
The only thing that would make it even better is a video hosting functionality that is as great as storybloks image hosting functionality. We use vimeo for videos which is great too.
We can create the design and layout for all our marketing pages exactly the way we want them to be. This we then hook up to storyblok where our blog content is written and stored. So even if we change our tech stack storyblok will still keep all our content and can be hooked up to the new tech stack again easily.
Storyblok is software that feels light when I use it. The editor page loads quickly and is comfortable to use. The editor updates in real-time, so you don't have to overthink the design. It is very nice to see the changes at the time as I do the same time as I do the editing. It's easy to group the content and sort it once it's published, so it's simple.
The learning curve is pretty straightforward, but getting a handle on Storyblok perfectly takes longer. I recommend reading the documentation to learn more about it. However, I think it could be more intuitive at this point.
I use Storyblok as the main CMS for several websites I manage. It works very well because it is simple to use, but it does not prevent it from being complete enough to create good projects. The software has been a good solution for a reasonably low cost. I just invested time in learning how to use it, which has given me good results.
One of the most valuable features is the visual editor. I can create great content without needing to know much about programming. Storyblok can be used intuitively and is very simple. It is, therefore, easy for anyone to use without any supervision. APIs are versatile and powerful. Developers can explore these features and create custom projects. Storyblok works with a simple and intuitive interface. As a result, a person with little or no knowledge of the subject can use it.
There is no function to find content that has not yet been published. It is a problem when managing and planning, especially if there is more than one person.
I use the program to manage the contents of the web page I am in charge of. It is also the CMS used by the development team for our clients' projects. It has been an answer to only managing the content without having to go through a long training period. The workflow has improved because we don't have to spend so much tie on training.
The on-page content editing is the best part of this platform.
The pricing of the platforms seems high for startups.
With Storyblok we can build user-friendly CMS. With this, users don't have to panic while adding content, because all the content are displaying live.
