I like how inuitive this tool is and that it easily helps you rank better on google.
It can be a bit costly for a new company or blogger who doesn't get a lot of revenue yet.
It helps me write SEO-friendly content.
The user interface and experience is fantastic. I like how it can crawl your live page and check the content and show you a relative comparison to your competitors content outlay. Surfer is continuously adding new features which I keep stumbling upon. I've read about a connection with Google Search Console and also an AI writer recently. Essentially there is on going innovation and development :)
On a few rare occasions, I've experienced headings and images not being pulled into the auditor.
I've been solving under-optimised and over-optimised content. I've also been able to create content to answer user questions and better serve their intent.
I like that it gives you a baseline of what other competitors are doing
No NLP credits for basic plan, i would at least offer 5 - 10 credits to give the users the ability to see the added value to switch to higher plans
Writing content that is inline with competitors, such as word count etc
Surfer is very easy to use, and I believe that makes it ideal for beginners to intermediate users.
While it is impressive, some of the results are often irrelevant or incorrectly spelled, both in the headings area and in the general keywords.
SEO boost and ranking help.
It does work very well / A lot of support documentation to ease the start / A helpful Facebook group / Valuable Live streams where you get your questions answered immediately.
In the beginning a bit overwhelming / A bit costly if you have a small website with few income
SEO optimization
On the surface, it's a straightforward tool to optimize content that you are creating or have already written but there is more to it as you explore Surfer's possibilities.
Some of the thresholds like the Natural Language Processing option are limiting on the cheaper plans.
First task was to use the Content Editor to reoptimize some old articles that had been languishing in the SERPs. There was a quick burst of improvements in the GSC. Producing briefs for writers took a fraction of the time without Surfer.
When it comes to SEO, there is no shortage of tools and analytics. However, none are perfect nor can do everything for you when creating content that ranks well in search engine results pages. One tool I would recommend trying out though is SEOSurfer. This software does an excellent job at analyzing keywords from a variety of sources like Google Analytics and social media channels so they're easily accessible without having to enter them into each individual source manually or spend hours on research ourselves. Its interface could use some work but most importantly if we want our posts visible/found then this may be worth checking out! I think that the SEO Surfer app is a good way to do content marketing. You can share the Content Editor with other people and give them instructions on how to write an article if they are remote writers.
Some of the suggestions on terms and topics can be improved. You can put it in the "IGNORE" section so it will never come up again.
The biggest help I have got is to prepare a well-optimized article and all the requirements that are required to help me rank in Google. It has all these features. And already many of my keywords are ranking in Google within days of Publishing.
1_It uses AI to allow you to compare your content to others In Google SERP through 500 ranking factors and show you these results as a set of guidelines to follow. 2_very Easy to use. 3_You can check NLP and sentiment features related to the competitors in SERP.
It is a little pricey for a small business as the hobby plan starts from 29 $ and it is not sufficient for professional use as it lacks plenty of features and has limited quota to others. So practically you should start with the basic plan which is 60 bucks on monthly basis (this plan also does not include NLP analysis feature).
It gives me an edge over my competitors as it allow me to optimize my content and give Google what he wants.
The fact that you are able to work on your SEO And Blog projects faster
The pricing is quite high, and the payment methods are limited
It helps me Save a lot of time when it comes to writing blogs for different projects
Surfer helps you plan your content so that all the content gaps are filled by providing valuable insight on related keywords. You can build a first draft quicker too based on currently ranking search engne results and then optimize your post for the best ranking potential in the content editor. I love that they give you a visual gauge of how well your content will rank as you edit your article.
To be honest, Surfer is a well thought out, useful tool. My only problem was that the price was too much for me. For others who have a larger budget for their project, Surfer is a great SEO tool for crafting content.
Surfer makes it easier to craft content with very good on-page search engine optimization and a greater chance of ranking high in the SERPs. Higher rankings = higher revenue potential.
When it comes to SEO, I have spent lots of time decoding it. I recently stumbled on Surfer; wow, everything came into place and started making sense.
At this time, I dislike Surfer not making it easier for people to learn the basics of how to use content editor. I could not find an easy short video showing how Content Editor works, and I had to go outside of Surfer to the wider web, such as YouTube, to find land on a blog writer's video which actually showed on screen how she clicked on the headlines from the articles outline suggestions to have the paragraph auto-generated by Content Editor. That was after a few tries on some YouTubers who apparently know how to use the Surfer but are not good explainers and teachers. Surfer should take on this task itself. On the other hand, the weekly webinar appears to be very good so far.
Making SEO easier to tackle.
The SERP Analyzer is the most useful part of the tool. It gives a nice screenshot of the SERP for a keyword we target
The Audit is not that useful. It provides a lot of keywords that don't have relevance to the topic. You have to clean up a lot to use the suggestions.
We are checking the SERP for a keyword we want to rank for.
You know you've used enough keywords. It's awesome.
It discourages great writing. Repeating so many KWs isn't an advantage anymore
Getting more consistent with KW focus on each article.
I can use it free as a Chrome Extention. It is very helpful to research keywords for SEO. Keyword Surfer can analyze the top ranking pages and help to plan to content strategy. Many SEO experts prefer Surfer as a primary research tool.
Sometimes it shows some weird SEO suggestions, which can be very harmful to optimizing the contents. It may break the content taste and readability. So if you are following this tool to make content marketing strategy, it might be risky for you. One more thing, the pricing looks a bit higher in terms of product usage.
I can quickly check keyword search volumes with different countries without logging in. It can be directly used from Chrome Browsers. It is very easy to use and has a simple interface.
Convenient and clear with what it expects from articles.
I don't know if you've encountered this before but for some reason it experiences some glitches that erases all the stuff I've written. Like when I'm writing a particular article, if I switch tabs or sometimes just on its own it reloads (saying that the connection was interrupted) and then all of a sudden everything is gone. It's odd because I'm using an actual ethernet cable which makes my internet connection faster than just using a wireless one. I'm not sure why this is occurring, but it just happened again right now. Even if I press undo over and over, the words I've written don't come back. What concerns me is that this might become a repetitive cycle, forcing me to screenshot my work all the time.
The keyword optimizations for a particular keyword.
I have used Surfer for years. For those years, we've gotten good results. Thankfully, unlike AHREFS, they are honoring their grandfathered accounts. Unfortunately with their 2FA and other protections it is becoming nearly impossible to login to Surfer.
The new pricing structure is way too expensive for the results it provides. We've switched our writers over to Frase, Neuronwriter, and Rank IQ. The ranking results are just as good, and the price is a lot lower.
Helping us identify which keywords Google needs
The font that they have in their content editor
- They are so greedy, they coninue to up the price and give less value. It's literally corporate greed at it's best. There are products like zimmwriter as well as neuronwriter that does the exact same thing at a fraction fo the cost
Finds keywords that I may not have thought about before
This system is built for noobies who only want basic articles.
Not for people who don't need research-based, in-depth articles.
Didn't solve anything, and the customer service is horrible; actually its non-existent. We've emailed 3 times to their general support line for assistance and even after we paid, we still can't get help.
To be honest, Surfer is one of the most important tools in our workflow. It's simple to use and is great for on-page SEO optimization.
To be honest, Surfer is one of the most important tools in our workflow. However, their chrome extension isn't working since past 8 months. The support says it's not a priority for us as the issue is affecting a small number of users. They advertise the chrome extension as one of their main offerings, but can't make it work. Their solution: we'll give you 20 extra credits. Hopefully, they can get their act together.
Surfer allowed us to systemize the on-page SEO process and as a result, we were able to scale our content creation process. But since the Chrome extension doesn't work at all, our workflow is affected, forcing us to look for alternatives.
