Surfer is an extremely handy tool if you really want to optimize your content and win the top spot
The pricing of the surfer software is a bit steep
It is optimizing my content and therefore I could easily beat my competitors
The best thing with SurferSEO is that I get so many good suggestions from the Grow Flow with weekly updates. The system is also very fast loading, so you never need to sit waiting for things happen.
It needs to be improved for the swedish market even more to work better. Since now Sweden is supported as a country but the language and translations/suggestions are not the best.
It helps me with improving my websites for my affiliate work. I get a lot of help with intern linking, new sub pages suggestions.
The content editor is amazing. Love the NLP system and the overall layout. Makes creating highly optimized content a breeze. The AI writer itself needs improvement though.
Grow Flow has been basically useless. Tips like "write an article" or "get this backlink", which is pretty lame. There's no way the site slot that's paid for is anywhere near perfect, but every week I get little to no new tasks.
I don't like writing. I can, I just don't enjoy it. I love SEO, but actually writing long form content is boring to me. This editor tool makes it more fun, which is a huge thing on it's own. I love optimizing these articles while I'm writing. The time flies by because I feel like I'm doing SEO, not just writing.
The speedometer article optimisation structure. Makes it easy to be guided through.
The pay-pr-article credit-structure is annoying. It forces you into a very high tier, even if it's not applicable to your business.
I took the education, and it seems like a good piece of software. I want to learn more. We're considering using this for our SEO optimisation strategy.
I love the integration it has with Jasper.ai.
The price is costly, but it does save a lot of time.
I never know how my blog articles will rank on google, but surfer SEO makes it so easy to optimize articles for the exact keywords I need
The content editor feature is unlike any other SEO tool out there that I know of. We use it all the time for optimizing our clients' blogs.
Sometimes the content planner keywords don't actually correspond to what shows up within the content editor, and you realize after you've already used up a query that the keyword you've chosen doesn't fit your content the best.
Instant feedback on how to optimize content using the editor.
Great for checking your content for potential SEO optimizations and auditing websites for better SEO. Gives detailed advice and analysis.
Some of the keyword clusters that it gives can be a little bit off-topic and not entirely helpful.
It can be hard to optimize content for SEO by eye, so a tool like this helps me see what the algorithm sees.
Content editor provides me key information and gives me very usefull insights for better copywriting.
My SEO advisor suggested that It would be great if Surfer SEO could cooporate with tools like Ahrefs.
I am creating better content for my websites. This will lead to a higher ranking in Google
Easy to use interface. Low learning curve. Easy for non-technical writers to use.
Price is a bit steep, but all SEO tools have increased prices and Surfer gives a lot of value
Mostly for SEO optimizing blog content, web pages, and similar.
My favorite feature in the SurferSEO is the Content editor. It allows me to check my SEO real-time score and helps me achieve a target of 66+ score by incorporating the required keywords in my blog.
The payment is $59 for 10 content editors. Initially, they were offering 15 content editors for the same price, but they have now reduced the number of credits to create content editors. That's harsh on small businesses like mine.
I use it in my Digital Marketing work as SEO is very important to rank your articles on Google or any other search engine. With the help of SurferSEO, I had many benefits where I audited my site and found the existing issues. I also wrote more than 50 articles using their Content Editor and 38 are in the Top 20 Goggle search results.
Easy to create articles that should rank with their suite of tools. A bit of a learning curve to get around, but I was clueless before, and after a few articles, I feel pretty well versed in optimization tactics. The customization features are excellent, and the Jasper integration seals the deal for me.
The number of content editors for the price is a little frustrating. And there's been an issue with documents disappearing when an account on my team opens an editor. It hasn't discouraged me enough to quit the service. I think it's a valuable tool, but I've yet to see results, so only time will tell; I'm optimistic that I'll start to rank for my niche soon.
I needed to drive more organic traffic to my site, you can have a great design and great content, but without a proper SEO strategy, nobody will see it unless you spend thousands on ads. In the long run, it's worth it to get a domain to start building authority.
I am new to SEO, and SEO Surfer helps me understand SEO and how to structure our content so it will rank higher. It has been an eye-opener for me, and the way I write blog posts will never be the same.
The price is high and I would like more credits on the intro plan.
Understanding how blok with a SEO perspective
TF IDF optimization. There are more tools for keyword density, but, Surfer with its shareable plugins is the best for me. Meaning I can easily share it to writers.
Surfer SEO's pricing is a bit higher. But I locked in their black Friday deal.
Optimizing existing articles. Creating new articles and minimizes writer's block.
The free trial made it easy to explore the tool. The content breakdowns and variety of planning tools help create a clear picture and action plan.
It's a new tool, so the learning curve is steep and the education content is minimal.
Ultrafast SEO is now a reality for our business and it actually helps us not outsource our SEO marketing. We're already ranking better for our niche keywords!
The Auditor is my favorite feature right now. In order to improve my rankings in search, I'm auditing my pages that have the most potential to rank higher. It's easy to find because Surfer SEO shows me those pages. Then I run an audit and follow the recommendations to improve my page for SEO.
I'm not a fan of the credit system. When you pay a thousand dollars or more, you kind of expect the system to just work. Yet month by month, I have to manage credits. That prevents me from working in bulk with different stages of my optimization.
One of my sites has a lot of golden opportunities, but they aren't optimized for search. Do you know that age-old advice to write for people, not search engines? Well, that doesn't do any good if people never find your articles because the search engines didn't rank them.
I like the ease of use and how well designed and thought out the user interface is. The people behind this tool have clearly thought through how to present information clearly to ordinary business owners who simply want to write good, clear content.
I would like more credits/queries per month. The basic plan seems quite limited at 20 content planner queries. It means I can't play around with possible blog topics - feels like I have to commit to a topic to avoid wasting my limited allocation of queries. At $60 a month I feel like a higher limit would be fair.
I'm starting to use it for writing blog content.
Surfer is a tool that can help you write high-quality, SEO-optimized content much more efficiently than if you were to try and do it yourself or by using other tools. If you are doing any sort of SEO or content creation campaigns then Surfer can help streamline this entire process for you while also providing insights into your SEO strategy and how to improve the content that is being created in order to maximize revenue streams without increasing spending unnecessarily on ad space.
The content planner feature is still in Beta but this should help a lot when it is finally shipped.
I find SEO opportunities much quicker than with any other tool and I am able to streamline my content creation process.
I love the customization features - when I'm starting a blogpost, I can remove irrelevant but top-ranking content. I also can remove non-relevant keywords that sneak their way onto the list. The content editor is super convenient and UX is pretty good (especially the Google Docs integration).
There's a couple of ticks with the keywords - first, it doesn't register something as a keyword when they're hyperlinked. Second, the pluralization of keywords as a requirement gets tiresome (but maybe that's my beef with SEO). Also, sometime the recommended number of headings is pretty extreme and seems to forget user experience - I'm not going to use 70 headers in 2000 words! I wish Surfer made it more clear how to improve your overall score, because some keywords seem to be more important than others. However, since it doesn't show you keyword difficulty, you're left ot guess and trial and error words to get a better score. It would also be helpful if you could hide the Surfer window in Google Docs if you want to flip it on or off insead of having to refresh the page.
With Surfer, I'm able to get a real-time progress update of my SEO score that's easy to communicate the value of to clients. It's easy to justify as I provide content briefs to them. Its simplicity is fantastic for writers who don't know as much or aren't interested in dealing with the technical, quantitative parts of SEO.
The user interface and experience is fantastic. I like how it can crawl your live page and check the content and show you a relative comparison to your competitors content outlay. Surfer is continuously adding new features which I keep stumbling upon. I've read about a connection with Google Search Console and also an AI writer recently. Essentially there is on going innovation and development :)
On a few rare occasions, I've experienced headings and images not being pulled into the auditor.
I've been solving under-optimised and over-optimised content. I've also been able to create content to answer user questions and better serve their intent.
I like that it gives you a baseline of what other competitors are doing
No NLP credits for basic plan, i would at least offer 5 - 10 credits to give the users the ability to see the added value to switch to higher plans
Writing content that is inline with competitors, such as word count etc
