Frase is a content optimization software that also works as a chatbot tool, however, both features are sold separately. It also uses AI to optimize content and can reliably improve your content development to help outrank the competition. Frase’s outline builder is known for creating intelligent outlines perfectly optimized for target keywords and FAQs. It has great analytics and comes with real-time topic scoring. Content optimization workflows are included and are scalable depending on business needs. You can also easily import content from URLs and Google Docs can easily be integrated.

Frase helps save time with content brief creation. Frase briefs are way more exhaustive compared to some of their competitors. SERP scores help convince non-SEO folks on why we need to improve the copy on the page. Topic clusters help quickly identify the sub-topics that need to be addressed in the article. Finally, the ability to share the briefs with writers without having them log in to Frase or have an account is a plus. Bill, Matt, Duncan, and the entire team at Frase are super responsive in helping you make the most out of the tool.
The interface could act up at times. I've had login issues and an audio clip started playing out of nowhere, it was funny but helpful at the same time. But these are all minor technical glitches in the platform and I think it could be because they're pushing too many features too fast. MarketMuse has a better UI/UX as an example. The dashboard could also improve from a list of documents.
-Semi-automated content brief generation. - Optimize existing content
I love how much time it saves me. And that it integrates with Google Docs.
After a while, the display gets a little wonky, especially in the brief. Mostly, I just take that as a sign that it's time to get up and move around a little. :)
The biggest benefit is productivity. When I compare what I can accomplish with Frase and how I used to have to do things by hand, it's crazy how much time Frase saves me!
It's simple, it's easy, and it's so effective you'll be kicking yourself for not using it sooner. We use it for every piece of content and we're confident it's the right strategy.
In recent updates, there have been a few changes that I feel have decreased UX, particularly moving the brief features and the removal of automatic SERP info generation.
The SEO benefits of Frase are simply astounding, but on top of this the benefit that it gives in terms of contextuality and providing user value is also immense.
I've always thought that I'm a pretty good writer, covering topics thoroughly and without a tool. Frase.io gave me valuable insight into the information I was missing and gave me the opportunity to rank for new keywords. Here's a stat: since I started using Frase.io 2 months ago, my organic traffic has increased by 20%, whereas before it had only increased by 5%. Also, I used many AI tools to help me write content, but most were inaccurate, especially for product reviews. Frase.io not only provides more valuable information, but also allows you to create your own AI templates, so you've absolute control.
Frase doesn't recognize the British word and the American word (e.g., "color" vs. "color") as the same word and gives you a distorted result. It also distinguishes between a noun in the plural and a noun in the singular, which is also very annoying (e.g. "color" vs. "colors").
I use Frase to create outlines, create briefs to copywriters, and to optimize all my articles. It also helps me identify opportunities for keywords by integrating GSC.
The Frase team is constantly improving my ability to use it effectively by providing informative training videos and online support in their Facebook group. I have many similar apps, but Frase and feedback from its many devoted users give me the confidence that it should be my go-to platform.
As a writer, I find it hard to give up control of any aspect of my skill-set, but I am getting better at taking advantage of what it offers now that I see not only tangible but impressive results.
Even though we know that "content is king," it can be challenging to get organized enough to write even a basic blog, let alone compete with SEO-optimized articles from your rivals. Frase allows me to see what they are doing, then guides me on how to surpass them in the Google ranks.
Frase has surprised me, and so has the team behind this awesome product. This is a super tool to write original content that actually ranks on the search results. This product has much more to offer than just content writing. Outline writer, AI writer, keywords and topic analysis, etc. are surely an added bonus and very helpful in writing new content. The support is also exceptional. The roadmap looks exciting too with even more features to be added. Great going guys, keep it up!
I do not dislike this, however, there is an area of improvement wherein the suggested keywords and keywords already ranking for should also show the monthly volume of search results.
Content writing saves a lot of time by using Frase. It also helps me in identifying new topics and keywords.
I like the ease of quickly creating a content outline, the paraphrasing and the templates.
There is nothing I dislike about Frase, but as it is in the early-stage and improvements are being made, the interface changes a bit.
Content creating, writer's block and speed of workflow.
Frase brings exceptional clarity to the process of writing for humans and search engines. It helps to hit that sweet spot in achieving engaging content but something which Mr. Google will also like :)
The AI writing tools are in their early stages of development. They look to be incredibly powerful and with a bright future. However, they could be easier to use.
The amount of research involved in writing effective and human-readable SEO content is a huge time-hog for any business. Frase makes this process almost painless and dare I say it - fun. I have even started to enjoy writing myself again. Also, whenever I hand a brief off to a copywriter, having used Frase to help create the research, the results are better due to the wealth of useful information available to them.
I have used a few SEO Optimizers, but I settled at Frase because It doesn't overwhelm you with Fancy Graphics and Columns but Leave it to you to draw and use the information you want to use and doesn't force you to match that obsolete Keyword Density. as that is really a thing of past and Google has already started sniffing bad content from miles away...
They push updates very often, and that's not a bad thing in itself, but I found few updates break things all along the way, and then they have to push another update to fix those. Although this could be a problem with any app, I think they can use better testing beforehand.
SEO Topics Clustering, Topics Optimization & Content Analytics.
Frase combines what I'm looking for in an SEO copywriting tool - AI writer combined with SERP and competitive analysis. I love that you're given a list of words to use in your writing and a score to aim for. Plus, it's integrated with Grammarly, so you can correct spelling and grammar mistakes on the fly. I've dropped similar tools and use Frase exclusively saving myself so much money, too.
The AI writer is still in beta so it's not perfect, and they could use more training videos on it. However, the team at Frase is constantly updating and improving things and will be working on that. They're very responsive about feedback and are constantly working to make the product and training better.
I use Frase to create new content for my website and redo and improve old content. Frase.io makes it easier to see what my competition is doing. It also makes it easier to see what supplementary copy I can add to my content that I may not have thought of on my own without a big Google search.
Frase is an extremely powerful and intuitive AI tool that has propelled our ability to create written content for our website about fast times faster than before. It is so easy to see what is working for already ranking Google content and how we can make it better. The way you can create briefs and outlines is so easy to do.
The really is little to dislike about this software. A recommendation I would give is to be able to better manage already written content and pending drafts. Since we write about 10 pieces of blog content a week it would be nice to see a better way to organize all the documents.
It allows our team to start 10 steps ahead of the rest of content writers because we are able to know what is already working and base our writing on Frase's topic score. And it has been right on every time.
1. Their outline builder. It saves us 2-3 hours of research time by presenting all the information in one single place. 2. Their Google Doc add-on. With this, working with external writers becomes so much easier and fluid. 3. Their content optimization tool. Again, helps us cut down the optimization time to less than an hour.
There's nothing I dislike so far. It delivers what we need. Yes, the editor sometimes doesn't autosave the content. I've lost 2 articles so far :(
Frase helps us write well-researched SEO-friendly content quickly. It saves us a ton of time that earlier went into manual research and optimization.
The SEO Insights tool allows me to access key SEO metrics right from within the Frase Content editor. Also, Frase has released over 26 major new features and updates since I bought their service for the first time.
I am pretty happy so far with their service and how they keep improving their tools
Content writing is time-consuming, and Frase makes it easier and faster from start to finish.
I love the fact that it's multilingual AND multi-use. I can work on the briefs as an SEO expert and share the document with the copywriter or the client without creating an account for them. That feature is fantastic because it saves me a lot of time and streamlines the process. You can carry out research, a competitor benchmark, content production, and SEO quality analysis all in one tool.
In French, I despise the fact that you have a double space when there's an apostrophe. It throws off the topic score and confuses my colleagues. It's a minor problem that has a significant impact on non-English teams working with the tool. I know that G2 is trying to temp down on how much I say I hate this, but I *really* do.
I am helping companies improve their content. The main objective is to make sure the content they produce on a topic answers the needs of their audience or potential customer base. We save time by not creating content into the void. I read a ContentSquare report that said 45% of online content isn't seen by human eyes. Frase helps ensure the content fits the needs of humans and gets visibility by meeting search engine standards.
Frase speeds up and improves your SEO content creation. On the basis of a keyword, you are able to quickly make a content brief and extract the most valuable pieces of information from the top SERPs. Apart from allowing you to best structure your content, you can also improve your content by looking at topics, questions, and stats that other top ranking articles discuss. Also very valuable is the topic score that your content gets in Frase: this allows you to see how well optimized your content is and whether you're missing any topics/phrases that could improve the SEO optimization of your article. In short: Frase does a very good job at helping you with the creation and improvement of your SEO content. It is a great tool for SEO copywriters and marketers to help you work more efficiently and get better results with your content.
I don't really have any dislikes. The tool lacked at first when using it for other languages than English, but the Frase team improved the app and at the moment it works great for the language I most use it for (Dutch).
Frase makes SEO content creation so much more efficient and better. This leads to better SEO content that gives better results.
Frase uses AI to help you brainstorm and get ideas of what questions your target market are asking , enabling you to write clear concise content.
There's really nothing to dislike about Frase - In concept its a fairly simple but valuable idea and it does exactly what it says, with no fuss.
Writing blog content can be very frustrating when you don't know exactly what information people want to read about. Frase solves this with its AI engine and helps you generate a targetted content brief.
All the information online in one place. Can compare titles, read excerpts of competitors, see the most used keywords, must include topics, and which phrase is used in what context in the competitor site. Saves time on research.
During content optimization, it picks phrases that are irrelevant. For example - If I am writing about 10 products and in that list, I have not included a product that's mentioned by the reference site, it flags that and gives the content a lower score. It also cannot distinguish between similar phrases (that humans can).
We are trying to write informative articles for our users. We get a lot of insights on what are topics we must use, what questions the users are asking, how to give them the best answer, what are the top 10 pages talking about, etc. Frase is a great tool for getting all the information without having to open many tabs. It is easy to use. Any time we want to know what a certain article is talking about, we get the most relevant excerpt from the article. We don't have to skim through the whole article and find what's important and useful.
The fact it gives me the most used keywords, average word count, headlines and question ideas. This all makes this tool so easy to use.
This tool has so much potential and it could get better if added even more metrics to the results.
Optimizing live content as well as getting ideas for new content and structure.
Super easy to use. Just let it crawl your website and it will automatically create the question and answers for you. If you've already invested heavily in content (technical/how to/inbound) it allows you to easily leverage that.
UI could use a little work - just to make it clearer to understand what each tool does. But I imagine this will come in time.
We have very complex products with lots of specifications and technical information. This makes it easy for us to surface that info in the chat format. Even though it lives elsewhere on the site already - many people dont ever reach it because they're not sure where it lives. The chatbot lowers that barrier.
List of keywords with frequency, give very quick yet indepth insight of what is lacking in the content.
The questions it collects only limited to Quora and YouTube. It should expand to other sources like people also ask for box, niche forums, related searches, etc.
1. Easy to benchmark your content quality against competitor. 2. Helpful in scaling quality content generation. 3. Help writers understand SEO requirement without fuss.
