Slack is the top choice for teams to communicate. It provides a virtual workspace that helps teams maintain open communication in a business environment. With Slack, users can host voice and video calls with up to 15 participants and even screen share with a desktop app, empowering better user interaction. Slack also supports options for private and group sessions, and one of its best features is Slack Huddles–an informal meeting space that lets you directly talk to your channel where you can share screen side by side with your team. The platform integrates well with Dropbox, Google Drive, and Trello as well.

What I enjoy the most about Slack is how easily all communication can be done through a single place. Unlike other options, Slack is highly user-friendly and has many options to ensure all communication happens in a single place.
Adding options to determine whether a message has been seen and possibly 'Queues' to some notes. For now, there is no way (at least from the options I have available) to check if my message has been delivered or seen. Additionally, it is hard to check past conversations when someone's account is suspended. Although you won't talk via Slack to that person anymore for obvious reasons, sometimes, valuable information is left in the chat, and is a bit complicated to recover.
Instant communication is accessible, and I can communicate quick updates to specific groups via channels. Having the option of an "informal" video call, like a Huddle, is always good to set the tone of some conversations. I love that people can quickly read and reply to anything we want to communicate.
It's pretty cool and easy, and you can create channels for your company and the little campaigns inside it. You can also send files, create stickers, send gifs, and more.
What I dislike about Slack is that when you want to delete a chat, you have to delete them individually; they don't "Select All" to delete the conversations simultaneously.
Unfortunately I don't have access to the Administration Chat so they can solve my issue, which is deleting chats simultaneously. it's a hassle to be deleting them one by one.
Integrating Slack with other essential applications we use in the workplace has had the most impact on my Slack experience. Integrating Slack with essential third party applications has allowed us to seamlessly incorporate important tools into our team discussions within Slack, resulting in more efficient workflows and streamlined tasks, saving us time and eliminating the need to constantly switch between multiple applications. In summary, the integration of Slack with other applications has significantly boosted our productivity and collaboration speed as a team.
I find it challenging managing the overwhelming amount of content available to me on the Slack platform. The interface feels cumbersome, especially on the mobile application, making it difficult to navigate. I suggest that Slack implements a feature that allows users to categorize their channels , so that I don't have to constantly scroll through a long list of channels to find specific messages or content. This would greatly improve the usability of this platform , from a user interface perspective.
Slack has significantly improved communication among employees in my company, especially among those within the same department or project. We have created dedicated channels for each of our projects, which has streamlined our communication by consolidating them in one place and preserving project conversation history for years. Slack has proven to be so effective that we now rely more on Slack messaging for internal communication, more than official emails. It has truly revolutionized how we communicate within our organization, making us more efficient with collaboration.
Great tool, user-friendly, and quick to communicate, especially in a remote-first environment. Excellent admin training, and connections with SO. MANY. TOOLS. I'm a fan for life. Always a plus when I hear a company has slack. we can communicate!
like any tool you don't need to use it too much. I try not to keep it open, because much like email, it can be a distraction. but the benefits far outweigh the negatives.
organizational communication is the biggest thing. Also, its hidden strength is its deep integrations with SO many of the applications we use on a regular basis. Jira, Asana, Google Calendar, Zoom, etc. are all supported!
I love being able to chat with all of my coworkers/team members in our specific Slack channels whenever. It's as easy as emailing, but more casual and simple to use.
I don't love that if you're not an admin, you can't really make/delete channels easily. I also don't love that their customer service hasn't gotten back to my team yet about an issue we opened up several months ago.
I'm able to chat with my coworkers quickly and easily, and that to me is better than anything I could do via email or text message! I can video/chat people and do it all from my computer, or my phone when I'm away.
No rocket science. Easy to use. Gets synced easily with Google Calender or other apps
You cannot see whether the other person has received your slack message or not
Quick video call. No need to create and send Zoom Link. Clarity is very good. Add a group chat, and making a quick group call is hassle-free. Far better than traditional Teams
You can integrate it with other apps like Gmail, Monday, Trello, etc.
I don't like that meeting with other users can't be recorded
Slack helps my team to be organized, we can create different sections and canals to talk about various projects. It can be integrated with apps we use and even it has a system to remember tasks or messages
I appreciate how Slack enables me to keep my work conversations organized in a way that is unmatched by any other messaging application I have used. Its channel and search functionalities make it an exceptional tool for both formal and informal internal communication, surpassing even email threads. Furthermore, I am impressed by how seamlessly Slack integrates with third-party software solutions, allowing me to access some of these tools from within the Slack interface. Overall, Slack significantly enhances my team's productivity.
Slack's video call feature has improved from its previous state, but it still experiences occasional glitches. Additionally, I find the notification system on Slack to be cluttered and disorganized, leading to me missing important updates in the past.
Slack facilitates seamless communication among teams, departments, and our entire organization. With Slack, we effectively centralize all our communications in a single location, allowing for effortless tracking and future referencing of critical team conversation.
Slack is a very useful communication tool for communicating with my co-workers.
Still, now no dislikes are found in slack.
For everyday communication, Making calls, and Sharing files.
Easy to communicate within the team, can combine with many tools and makes it easy to work within the slack tool.
Nothing bad to dislike, easy flow to work within the tool, the huddle and integration with other tools like zoom and calendar are additional plus to work with.
Integration with multiple tools like zoom, google calendar, mail are very useful
One of the best things about Slack is its ability to bring together different communication channels, such as direct messaging, group chats, and file sharing, all in one place. Slack's integrations with other apps and tools make it easy to automate tasks and streamline workflows.
The downside of Slack is that the sheer volume of notifications and messages can sometimes be overwhelming, leading to potential distractions and interruptions.
I use slack to communicate project updates, share code snippets, and automate testing workflows through integrations with other tools. This helps the team stay organized and focused on delivering high-quality software on time.
It is very easy to use and I will communicate with my colleague very effective manner. User interface is very nice and I'm using huddle also for communication through this slack.
I did not face issues and any disadvantages while using this application. I like your features and interfaces. so I don't have any disadvantages while using slack.
It was a great application to communicate and call with my co-workers. I am using this application to message and call my colleague using huddle and I am regularly using zoom also.
Slack is quick and a great way of connecting with your professional circle and keeping the company 'connected'. It is hassle-free, UI is fast and simple for the most part. I absolutely love the vast number of integration that is possible through Slack.
While there is no such glaring issue, the search function on the app leaves a lot to be desired. It is not as straightforward as I'd like it to be. That can be improved to assist some of the lesser tech-savvy people.
It helps everyone be in a single place, at the touch of a finger, the website and the app both are extremely accessible and dependable with absolutely zero outages. The centralisation that Slack provides is one of it's biggest benefits.
Slack continues to lead the market as one of the most complete messaging apps for companies of all sizes. It quickly allows me to meet with my peers over voice, message stakeholders from outside my company and create workflows such as reminders, polls etc., so that my team can stay atop their work. Slack has also allowed my team to develop valuable RPAs to automate the most common tasks, significantly increasing our team results. App integrations make Slack an all-in-one platform your team members will benefit significantly.
A downside of Slack is its iOS app, which doesn't sync well with its web version. Old channels you leave flood your home page. They eventually disappear once you update the app to newer versions, but the issue doesn't.
Slack allows my overseas team to connect and improve the quality of their work. Slack does more than create a warm work environment: they help you automate daily tasks with workflows, collect data with RPAs and build an all-in-one platform with app integrations. One of the apps we use is Lattice to manage our team members' performance and goals. Lattice for Slack makes progress tracking easier by reminding the team of their activities and upcoming 1:1 meetings. They come prepared to discuss their responsibilities and areas of opportunity, dramatically improving our meetings' quality.
Incoming WebHooks, Public and Private Channel, Chat Reminder one time or schedule based. Upload files seamlessly, mostly all the application integration like google meet, pager duty, etc.
Mobile slack and Desktop Slack sync issues are still there. Deleted channel on the desktop app, it's still showing on the mobile app and notifying the chats.
A quick chat with peers and channel, whether to notify all the track members or create a thread and chit-chat without bothering another group member. Quick huddle without generating the link, either audio chat or video chat. Incoming WebHooks, we can create automation and push the application logs on the channel.
Threads, and more threads. This is what makes slack stand out from the competition. As well as new calls. I can also tell you about fault tolerance, I never thought about it, because there were no problems with it
I can't copy part of the text in a message on my iPhone!
I can't call it a problem, but it fills the need for quality communication services between colleagues.
This is the best tool for communication with my colleagues internally. We can make new channels for communication and we can do huddle as well whose quality has been upgraded now.
There is nothing in specific which i dislike.
I am using slack for a while now and this is the only channel which i use for making calls, IMs and video conferencing. It's integration with Outlook is great which makes me not to miss any meetings.
Ease of use, integration, customization, interface, awesome features.
The problem is not slack, but people who don't use slack correctly...
We're an all remote company with workers all over South America, so communication, file sharing, video, audio and chat organization are super important.
It's easy to use, a great way to communicate to co workers, and I love the ability for integration with other applications. Makes for much easier work flows and understanding of what is going on within the company.
There's not a lot a dislike about slack. I did however have to change the notification sound because the default one was triggering me. I also think that sometimes notificaions and messages can be missed.
When I am working from home it is easy to communicate to my team and co workers. We also have a lot of fun with the reactions to messages. The ease of communication is so so helpful.
