The prominent article optimizer is Marketmuse that I love most because of its uniqueness. I can quickly check my competitor and get suggestions from MM on how to beat them easily with a super cool article. That is why I love this AI tool most.
The UI is a little bit weird. And they don't have any Chrome & Firefox extensions, which could help me speed up to complete my tasks. But the good news is, they have this plan to bring the feature.
Now I can fill up my website's content gap of my niche sites. So I can quickly get a better SERP and increase my earnings up to 150%, which is fabulous to me.
I think my favorite feature in MarketMuse is the Content briefs. It is so helpful for me to be able to build an outline for myself or my writers. Optimize is another one of my favorite features. We have a lot of content on our website so being able to go back and optimize those posts is super helpful.
I wouldn't really classify this as a dislike, but I will say, it has taken some getting used to that this tool doesn't just encourage you to try ranking for keywords with the highest volume - it's much more about intent, unlike basically every other SEO tool (they need to catch up). Instead of just helping you rank for the easiest keyword with the highest volume, it encourages you to use topics (broader than just a keyword) that will bring users to your website with better intent (resulting in better conversions on your site). It's slightly harder to measure that for us at this stage, (compared to how easy it is to just measure if you organic traffic is going up) but I actually think we have seen some really positive results! Excited to see results continue to grow!!
MarketMuse is helping us to not only increase the organic traffic to our site, but also to bring BETTER visitors to our site. It's one thing to get a bunch of traffic to your website but it's much more important to bring the RIGHT visitors to your site - people who would actually like to see what we have to offer. They're also making it much easier for me to find new topics to write about, plan future content ideas, and optimize my old content.
I love how easy it is to use MarketMuse. It gives me concrete info on what I need to do to improve my post to make it rank better. It's easier than any other similar programs I have tried.
The only thing I'm not crazy about is that so many keywords are compared that it's sometimes hard to know when to stop or what to omit.
Since using MarketMuse I've had many posts jump a lot of positions in Google and traffic keeps increasing. Plus, it's not taking me a lot of time to do.
Covers all important aspects of content creation.
keywords suggestions need more improvement
Related keyword research Better optimization Helps outlines formation Competitors FAQs
The ability to be more competitive for high value keywords
Compete data doesn't always match my other research tools
I am creating better content and improving old content to be more competitive
MarketMuse really stands out in the space of AI assistance with copywriting. After testing various OpenAI GPT-3 tools, none has the richness that MarketMuse has. The sections Research, Compete, Optimize and Questions are all extremely useful.
Because of the many features, the learning curve is somewhat steep. It would be helpful to have more "getting started" video tutorials with practical step-by-step examples.
Web copy optimization
Speeds up the writing process and ensures I include relevant keywords from the start to produce better content.
Nothing at the moment. They are constantly improving the product. All the changes I wanted to see are implemented now.
MarketMuse also helps me to accelerate my content research, creation, and optimization process.
The insights you see with this tool you don't get anywhere else. This is a one-of-a-kind tool. Nothing compare for content optimization.
The AI credits are expensive so I mainly use the tool for the queries and insights they provide.
content optimization other tools say your 100 and this tool give you way more where others fail.
The ease of use. The on-board experience. The MarketMuse team.
No integration with wordpress. Everything else is great.
Improving our content clusters, SEO opportunities, and being more efficient with our time.
The AI is solid. I have a number of similar tools I use and the MarketMuse AI is definitely among the best on how well the AI works. It provides relevant content not simply scraped information and keywords
I wish the base level subscription allowed you to save your results on the platform for future use. I often brainstorm multiple ideas at once and while it allows you to download the file I'd like to be able to come back and continue it in the platform without having to shell out another querie credit for it.
It greatly increases my SEO rankings when utilizing the tools as well as shortens my worktime via research and being able to quickly access top rated sites of competitive articles.
MarketMuse is mature and have impressive functionality. I find it very useful to find gaps in my competitors coverage and see my article scoring in real time while I write, so I can see what I need to add to get my score better.
The price of credits, they are extremely expensive!
I think my main benefints for using Marketmuse is getting extensive content briefs for pillar posts. Let me explain how it is structured. There are two types of "currencies" in MarketMuse. Credits and Queries. Credits are very expensive and provide high value AI functionality. Credits can be used for the content briefs and creating first drafts or even final drafts! Using MarketMuse for creating content briefs, I get access to more than enough info about the topic I am looking to write about. In Marketmuse there is a number of "applications" as they call it. Each of the applications have different functionality. Using the applications cost one or more "queries". You can analyze the distribution of related subjects when you are creating your blog posts with the app "research". You can see a heatmap over the highest ranking competition in "compete". You can use it to analyze what others have covered and see if there is gaps that your highest ranking competitors did not cover. You can keep your readers interested and engaged by answering the important questions they might have. You can see what questions readers want answered in the "questions" app. You can get help with internal- and external link building in the app "connect". It finds suitable articles to link between in the content on your own domain. It also finds suitable external links. You can edit your content in optimize. It scores your content as you write, helping you to improve your article before you publish a new article or republish an old one. I am happy that I can take advantage of this great tools in order to optimize and evaluate my work to get the best result.
I have recently registered for the MM Pro offer at AppSumo. After investing a couple of hours in the Research Application, Composing the drafts, and Enhancing the Content following the MM Optimize Application standards, here is what I have finally published for the Home Page and About us Page. The content rating on MM was 90% and up competing among the top 10. I am pleased! In my opinion, MM is a useful tool for writing SEO content. https://candlelightstudio.com/
Cannot add more than one domain owned by the same company related to the same business.
I was looking for actionable suggestions for enhancing the content to compete for the targeted keywords. MarketMuse artificial intelligence applications are time savers in delivering the targeted research.
Market muse is by far the best tool in the market to enable your content strategy. Many tools offer parts of a content strategy (like content optimization), but Market Muse is an end-to-end content strategy tool.
Although the tool offer value for the amount, their pricing is on the higher side. Glad to see they’ve recently introduced lower-tier offerings, making it more accessible to solopreneurs and small businesses.
Topic research, topic cluster identification, content optimization, internal linking, quick wins and much more. I rely heavily on Market Muse for my content strategy.
I like how comprehensive the reports are, how easy it is to export data and how the questions section works
I am yet to find anything I dislike - I mean the credits are great for the report base, and they are expensive but I understand why - they offer a comprehensive starting point if you are stuck for ideas.
Content structure and ideas for SEO. Time saving and cost saving
I love that MarketMuse has allowed my team to streamline our content development initiatives. My team loves using the content briefs as a foundation and it helps to provide context to the tool beyond a simple count of phrases to include in a given piece. MarketMuse will go the extra mile to outline the type of content that should be developed around a subject and the briefs convey the intent behind the general search traffic that the content piece is likely to receive. Building out the user-journey and mapping content by topic has been streamlined by the MarketMuses suite. I have found that their internal linking opportunity tool is an amazing tool for medium or larger sites. In my experience, organizations struggle to accurately take inventory of their site's content, and as a result, content is often replicated or poorly linked to within their own content. Creating dead-spots within the site that would otherwise offer value to readers if they had been incorporated more closely with their products, services, and new content.
I would love to incorporate the MarketMuse platform into Google Documents. It would save my team a lot of time and effort being able to review Gdoc drafts, as opposed to copying and pasting the content into the tool. It would also be nice to have the option to export content briefs into Google Documents as well.
We have been working on a content inventory map to align our content by position in the buyer's journey. It is the result of a pruning/merge campaign in order to clean up after a shotgun approach with spun content. We are currently in the process of repositioning ranking content away from long-form tutorial content onto conversion-oriented landing pages. MarketMuse's content inventory has helped our team identify the ranking content by topic, and we are able to consider the types of pages that we would like users to see first. We can consider the page template types, and determine whether users can interact with our ranking content or are presented with an essential dead-end.
It's easy to use and train new team members one because it generates such actionable insights.
Nothing - I think they've done a good job of continuing to iterate on the platform as things have changed in the SEO and content space.
Helping clients better optimize existing content and identify gaps within the content strategy. It gives them a clear roadmap of what success looks like in an otherwise subject channel.
Content score give us a direction where and what should we be targeting.
To expensive and you have to pay for extra reports.
Adding semantical keywords topic related.
MarketMuse makes it easy to rank for specific keywords and optimize blog posts and website pages for search.
It would be nice if the platform could display search data from the Google Keyword Planner.
Ranking for specific keywords is difficult, but with MarketMuse, it's easy to see exactly what content you need to include on a page/post in order to climb the ranks in a short time.
What we value most about MarketMuse is the competitive data that is available. We are able to accurately know who in our market is doing well for certain topics and then work to chase and beat them.
There is so much data and suggestions which is helpful however it can get easy to lose track of what is most important when creating a game plan when the homepage dashboard is home to so much information.
We are seeing significant improvement in time on sight as well as click throughs, from using their link suggestions. Our pages are ranking higher and for more topics.
I love the features of discovery, editing, and targeting our content. We've seen great results as we've optimized our content
It wasn't intuitive to use, but once you are familiar with where all of the features live - it works great.
We are editing and rewriting content to better rank for core nonbrand keywords.
Marketmuse's software is outstanding for optimizing content. From doing research on contextually relevant but semantically distinct topics to tuning up existing pages, it's an excellent, very tactical tool. Highly recommended for SEO teams.
Natural language generation is still hit or miss (the First Draft product) as of mid-2020. More often than not, it needs substantial editing in order to be usable.
We use Marketmuse for the optimization of individual web pages around specific topics, especially for incorporating semantically distinct keywords and phrases. We also use it for researching competitive placements and understanding the broad topics - and their weak spots.
A well-qualified assignment is the foundation of every successful collaboration. So to say I appreciate a thorough brief is an understatement. After reading my first MarketMuse brief, I was the most confident I've ever gone into a technical writing assignment. That's not to say I was sure I'd nail it -- instead I was sure that if I did NOT deliver, then at least I'd know the inadequacy was mine alone, not a breakdown of communication or expectations.
Some of the AI-generated text sounds like exactly that. Sentences like this one: "Establishing topical authority for marketing resource management requires mentioning the topic and using the network of relevant subtopics..." gave me the sense the brief was less customized, since our keyword (MRM) was obviously just inserted into MarketMuse's template. Upon reading that, I was the recipient of automated communication, which always feels... weird. So my only criticism would be to keep the AI feature to the keyword ranking research and not try to work our keyword into the "narrative."
Poorly or partially sussed out ideas have done much damage to the writer/editor/end reader relationship. A MarketMuse brief preempts that common pitfall. So the importance of what this service does cannot be overstated.
Higher tier plans come with content strategy every quarter. I love having a custom content plan built specifically for our domain to succeed and solving our business goals at the same time. Intelligent and insightful people at MarketMuse understand what we need.
I'd love to see web analytics data integrated into MarketMuse, tieing content briefs to the pages created from those and measuring which content needs more work. MarketMuse is always adding new features so I'm hoping this is on the roadmap.
We are spending less time on building content ideas and content briefs. More time on working with writers to create engaging content.
My favorite part of using MarketMuse is how much time it shaves off of editing. I work with writers who aren't always the most familiar with SEO so I used to have to manually edit to add in relevant long-tail keywords and rework areas to make them function both for the reader and for the robots. Last summer, I had an intern use the Optimize function to improve her own writing before I reviewed it and she quickly began to pick up the SEO basics. I also love the Pages inventory. Having recommendations on hand for upgrading our content has been incredibly helpful, particularly as we went through a website redesign and launch. We successfully held our SERP rankings. and made quick gains after relaunch which is not common.
I don't find there are any real downsides to the platform.
MarketMuse has made my life so much easier as a 1-woman content hub. More companies should be bringing MarketMuse on when they have smaller teams who wear many hats and need quick SEO wins.
Immediate insights on topic coverage in regard to our own content performance and also our competitors. Hands on support team and training.
Definetly a learning curve for content strategist although this is manageable and worth the effort.
Improved depth of content Quicker intelligence into building content strategies at scale
It's straightforward and uncomplicated. You just log in and start working on your content.
Onboarding is a little unclear. I needed to reach out to the team to learn how to use it. But they were very responsive and got me going.
Optimizing existing content for SEO and then figuring out what new pieces we need to write
The platform's ability to identify low hanging fruit and creates a roadmap for content success and topical authority to achieve marketing goals.
Very little to dislike. Sometimes struggles with KnowledgeGraph "People Also Ask" to identify questions for obscure industries and keywords but the team seemed pretty responsive and capable of improving the results.
Identify low hanging fruit topics Building topical authority Optimizing existing content to improve ranking Research competitive landscape strengths & weaknessses So far we've seen a pre-existing piece content that was optimized using MarketMuse jump from position 60 to position 19 in a week, and another new piece of content jump to result #1 in under a month. This is literally like a cheat code for SEO.
MarketMuse makes it very easy to create professional, targeted content briefs that are ready for a writer's use.
The MarketMuse Suite sometimes has bugs, but problems are resolved quickly.
MarketMuse has helped us with the creation of different content strategies. The product makes it possible to set a content goal and take all the necessary steps to meet this goal.
MarketMuse truly cares about quality content on the web. Their tools and resources help digital marketers create the most effective content that is the most useful to their audience. They teach marketers how to identify useful topics and cover them thoroughly to become the got-to source for their audience.
I can't say there's anything I don't like about MarketMuse.
In writing for MarketMuse, I gained a wealth of knowledge on every step of the content creation and SEO process.
The recommendations are actionable and they remove the problem of opinion overload when planning our calendar.
Product wasn't as accessible to us when we were really small and lacked capital.
We learn what's working and double down. Moreover, it's clear what isn't so we can optimize our resources.
