It is good design your templates by gui and sending it by clients with customizable parameters. Also tracking the mail state is very good analyze business impact of the mail. It allows you tou track what you have done good or bad. Dashboards also have a good ui.
Documentation about templates was a bit insuffcient but I think they improved there.

Twilio SendGrid Email API is for sending transactional emails like password reset, payment related and order related. So whenever our users place an order on our web application an email is sent to the user regarding the order and delivery information. We can easily create dynamic templates using handlebar templating language and push the data through Sendgrid API and our data is automatically rendered on the template. Email sent through SendGrid API is delivered instantly to our users and we have never faced any delivery issue with Sendgrid API.
There are few limitations on API that are 600 requests/minute which means a maximum of 10 requests can be accepted in a single second which can be a disadvantage sometimes.
We are using Sendgrid API to send Transactional emails to our customers. We also utilize SendGrid API to create a list, add a contact to lists and schedule marketing campaigns. We send emails related to Payment, Orders, and notification of various events.
This tool is very well on its way with its integration of different complements that are working today, programming and automation of e-mails, which usually shine on calendar days established for promotions, whether new products, price offer, mainly attracting new viewers who have not had a vision more than light on us with which we can clarify our purpose. It has an integration to complements to work with wordpress that can synchronize the fluidity of the corresponding work of each tool.
The handling of the tool is somewhat complicated, the interface to control the page, finding emails that have been sent previously becomes difficult to have no distinctions of relevance, with mass emails with positive results other negatives within the same tool, to update the trends that have no importance and those that were changed.
With this tool, it has been easy to handle e-mail communication to recurring customers, separate different messages for factors and scopes not equal one from the other, to specify the services to each customer, customize the messages as little as possible to have a striking message to who receives it among many recipients.
It is very easy to get up and running with the SendGrid API and it performs very well. The service has been stable with no major issues for us.
Some features are a little limited like batch sending with subusers. The service is a little on the expensive side.
We needed an email sending partner to process millions of emails each month and SendGrid's service and infrastructure has been up to the task.
It's rare that a company has a product that can be learned quick and used immediately, but is also insanely powerful and capable of enterprise-level usage.
Some UI's could be slightly clearer and more obvious.
We need to send lots of reminders and notifications. Having quick access to statistics on these mails is essential, especially any rejected or blocked emails.
Excellent documentation. Their feature set has expanded recently (dynamic templates available in the API), so I appreciate that the service keeps getting better.
On my dream list, I wish email logs included a view / rendering of the email.

Integrates easily with a variety of tools. I like the support prompt reply with detailed solution for the problem so far best support received. Its easy to use with great amount of flexibility
similar pricing to MailChimp, reporting has been changed to 3days and unsubscribed is only given to preferred unsubscribed option, it was misprinted in the documented.

Delivery has been extremely reliable and support has been excellent - both self-server (i.e. knowledge base) and help tickets.
Only thing I miss from Mailchimp is the ability to direct web hooks to different servers based on a parameter - allowed me to track email activity on both our LIVE and DEMO sites.
SendGrid provides the best solution we've found for our combination of transactional and marketing email. Since purchasing a dedicated IP, our delivery hasn't had any hiccups.
