Sendgrid provides us the opportunity to automate email marketing campaigns. Either be it transactional emails or newsletters. With the aforementioned, we are successfully setting up automation triggers, which determines when a sales prospect or customer needs to be engaged via emails . While also letting us successfully track and measure the performance or effectiveness of our automation strategy.
Sendgrid is not very intuitive and thus , it usually requires previous experience with email marketing setups, to be able to use effectively.
We rely on Twilio Sendgrid to send real-time email notifications to our customers. Sendgrid provides us with the necessary infrastructure to automate engagement notifications with our customers, using emails.
The best feature would be the high delivery rate compared to similar services. The implementation is also easy as well using the documentation provided for most popular languages along with the REST API. The training using Twilio's RPG game TwilioQuest also makes it easy to get started. The designer feature makes it easy to design templates without using a third-party solution.
Integrating new senders is not that intuitive on the UI and makes it confusing. Verifying new senders is also not a seamless process as it does not notify if the verification email went through. Sometimes the template designed using the editor does not reflect the email received.
We used Twilio SendGrid Email API to send mass emails for our internal and business objectives. We have used Sendgrid using it's API and with other services like Courier, and our implementation has been easy with both the approaches. The high delivery rate along with the statistics from Sendgrid made ensure we had no concerns regarding email delivery.
The API is easy to integrate with just about any service out there. The documentation is solid and covers multiple use-cases/languages, and the webhooks are reliable and easy to understand. Additionally, the pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to other Email API solutions.
The email design tool is not at polished as competing solutions aimed purely at marketing-based emails (Mailchimp, for example). There are a decent amount of bugs, and it's relatively frustrating to use. Still, we primarily use SendGrid for the API, not the email-design tools, so this is not a dealbreaker for us, and the prices are much more modest than competing marketing solutions.
We use the SendGrid Email API to automate internal email delivery from our web and mobile app. We also occasionally use the free marketing and design tools included in SendGrid.
I love SendGrid because it’s so easy to use. I can integrate it with my applications, create templates for mailing campaigns, and send my emails with confidence. The platform is reliable and straightforward to use, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an easy way to send their emails.
Installation of the software was more complex than we expected — especially when it came to getting the system up and running. We contacted the support team several times for help, but only after a few days were we able to get the program running with all stacks we wanted.
I use Twilio SendGrid Email API to send emails on behalf of my client. This enables me to send up to thousands of emails daily from the entire bunch of domains and users from their own IPs. The performance of the Sendgrid servers has been very good, and I have not encountered any issues in performing this task.
The best I like about SendGrid is that I can integrate SendGrid with my applications and create my templates for sending mails. It is very reliable and straightforward to use.
Sendgrid is easy to use, but we have to provide authentication for any emails when sending emails from that email. Also, It is not entirely free, and you can send only a limited number of emails.
Because of SendGrid, It is straightforward to send emails from my application itself. It makes the functionality of the application much better, and it seems much more reliable. I can also use it as an email authentication while logging into my application which is very helpful.
Great documentation for the API lends to a productive developer experience.
After Sendgrid's acquisition by Twillio, there were many changes to the product (as expected), which unfortunately meant pricing tiers also shifted so features such as the audit history became limited unless you paid more. The API endpoint itself however is versioned so we don't have to worry about breaking changes to our product.
Adding email functionality within a cloud-based application. The API offers options for simply sending data to be merged with rich HTML templates, or if you prefer to generate the HTML on your own, you can do that as well.
There are a number of strong features in SendGrid. The top two we probably benefit from the most are the API and the reporting. The API makes it simple for our SaaS platform to send e-mails - both from our system to clients, and from our system on behalf of clients (e.g. marketing e-mails). And the API is simple to use and can be integrated in a matter of hours.
The last I reviewed their features, the tools they provide to manage sub-users could be more well developed. We create sub-users to represent each of our clients so that we can track their activity separately. Note: the sub-user feature may be more developed now.
There are a number of ways to send e-mail messages programatically. But SendGrid gives our messaging efforts and sound structure. But probably the greatest benefit is the reporting. Tracking things like e-mail opens and bounces takes a lot of development time. SendGrid takes care of these issues for you - allowing you to focus on your core business objectives.
Ease of use and pretty easy to implement
The filtering of users and ability to reuse campaigns could be made better
Transactional e-mails right now because it is what it does best.
It's very easy to implement SendGrid. I can send emails in just a few minutes. There's multiple ways to implement it into our Laravel applications (SMTP or the API). We integrated with SMTP - the documentation on setting it up was very straightforward. Took less than 30 minutes.
It's difficult to deal with reporting. The reporting tools have change drastically in the past year and a half. I do like the changes you have made, but the amount of data is reduced to just 3 days and it takes longer to pull the data I need. Biggest complaint: Data is only stored for 3 days. I know it costs a lot of money to keep large amounts of data for clients, but I would like to search at least 1-2 weeks of data for a product I pay monthly. Even if it's just basic data (like sends, opens and clicks). I don't necessarily need all of the other data.
We needed to send transactional emails (password reset, purchase receipts and event reminders). We are able to send these email effortlessly.
We are b2b platform for igaming and support our customers also by sending CRM email messages to end users. Sendgrid fits the best for this purpose because of possibility to white label senders
Really annoying the stats report. I can't see it in one display by horizontal and need to scroll it all the time and I have no option to customize it somehow. Also, mailbox providers deliverability report is not useful, would be much better to see top10 mailboxes at the report.
Very good deliverability even for our industry. Fast and problem solving support White label option
Their API is simple and well documented.
DNS whitelabelling could be more robust.
Email delivery for 3rd party customers. It's been transparent enough to solve out needs.
The user interface is really nice and for marketing, the drag an drop features whilst allowing for code editing in the section is fantastic! This is the first time I have seen in done like this.
Some of the pay walls are a pain, e.g. 3 day transaction history. You need at least 14 days and I am not happy that there are not more bulk email options only 40k and 100k.
For us we started using sendgrid just for API sends, but after realising the ease of use for marketing, we migrated from another provider to sendgrid, now all of our emails come from a single source and we like that. It is more time efficient and saves costs.
Solid API and user interface, not too fancy, but it gets the job done
interface, could do better than this ........
Email venerability.
The layout and overall design of the emails and the analytics options and information is great!
i guess things seem a bit "clunky" at first until you get the hang of the difference between designing in the templates versus the campaigns.
email marketing to current and new clients.
as title, it is easy to set up and affordable! It is very easy to white label emails and make sure it send out encrypted and great analytics data. Sendgrid insider Program can help earn rewards while learn more. Also they have a lot of great beta programs like Advertising through Adwords and Facebook etc which built into the platform and very easy to connect and use as well.
it is not very accurate for some recipient data, I think that is the only complaint i have about sendgrid but I believe the technical difficulties exist for all vendors.
Email Marketing to previous shoppers, promotions hurdle, email address reputations
Reliable and robust transaction or promotional emails at a very inexpensive price point.
If you run into reputation issues your account is burned, notifications of problems are not sent automatically.
Extremely cheap email at an enterprise scale. I've also used it for CCTV emails and server correspondence.
Ease of use from .net API. Easy integration with Azure billing.
The web user interface for finding emails is a little clunky. Also not able to see content of email.
Sending of transaction emails from our SAAS product.
Drag and drop features make it very simple to use
Lack of customization - e.g. social media buttons look outdated, and the column setup doesn't allow a huge amount of adaptability
Our whole structure is modeled around a solid email list, and Sendgrid allows us to hit these lists accurately
Our emails are ever delivered Acceptable segmentation feature
A bad support when used Need better reports
Send email marketing campaigns with high open rates.
I love that the email management dashboard shows you each email sent out, received as well as additional information like when the email was opened. Delivery is very fast and customer support is great and super helpful.
The price is a bit higher than other services we've used.
It's great to be able to track all of our transactional emails and understand what customers are responding to. It's helped us realize what information resonates with our customers and develop more relevant info.
