AppMySite makes it easy to turn your existing WordPress website into an app. There's a thoughtful user flow that asks you to go through some basic set-up steps and then connect your WordPress site to the AppMySite site via their WP plugin. You basically jump through a few hoops, click some buttons, upload some images, and have yourself an app. While this does take some work, it's far less work than coding an app from scratch. And it's a mere portion of the cost. Plus, it's accessible by users on iOS and Android in multiple languages. So you can be a random business owner without advanced coding knowledge and still create an app.
Some of the restrictions regarding images are a little annoying. There are specific image sizes required for different places around the app. My logo doesn't fit within those specific sizes, so I have to repeatedly resize the logo or put it into different-sized background boxes just to upload a new variant. They also don't accept png's in some cases, so you lose the transparency effect and have to upload a jpg with a background on it. There might be a workaround for this, but I haven't found it yet. This simple step annoyed me enough that I stopped using their site for several months before coming back to it. So I highly recommend they allow png's in the future.
I'm trying to convert my existing WordPress site, with over 300 articles, several pages, products to sell, and hundreds of comic book pages, into an app on Android and iOS. This would be expensive and time consuming for me to code on my own, or to hire someone else to do it. I figured I'd give AppMySite a try and see if it solves the problem.
It seems simple although I've only created a 'basic' app for use.
I think they could communicate more about tutorials and ideas to do a bit at a time to help motivation.
My audience will want a private app type of resource but I can build it within a website environment which I am more used to.
Zero effort to connect to WooCommerce from WordPress. You can choose different layouts and apply quickly. Also you can customise the badge and the splash app. Amazing.
Push notifications are poor if you want to make control by trigger at your WorsPress installation. If you choose Appmysite website works perfect. But I miss a solution on WordPress where you can choose actions by trigger.
Easy to publish a project. The simulation is very good and you can "play" with it. Social login (including Apple) are amazing and a very strong point. WordPress environment are great too.
Interactive tutorial and no coding necessary
More flexibility on pricing plans and options
Many of my customers used to ask for an app and now I have something to offer them which was very challenging at first and wanted to be in the app store and google
The simplicity with which we can convert
Back then when I was using it, there was not much video explanation on how to create the app with ease.
You do not have to maintain two development paths. Just develop the website/webapp and AppMySite will convert into the mobile app.
Because it's a templated system, it's very easy to make an app with preset blocks and pages. You can customise the branding with color schemes, logos, images, etc.
The downside of the templated system is that the scope for customisation is somewhat limited. You can use web view to display the original website, if you require greater customisation. It doesn't always accept custom shipping plugins, so you'd have to use the standard ones included.
AppMySite makes it possible for non coders to produce apps for WordPress sites very quickly. Without it, it would not have been possible for me to create apps for myself and clients, given my lack of programming knowledge.
Upside to using AppMySite is speed to develop and launch an iOS and Android app without prior experience or knowledge.
Downside is maneuvering through the articles to create an deploy an iOS account to launch an app.
Problems we are solving using AppMySite is converting existing clients to an app
Ease of use, deep integration, constant updates and support, and nice UX.
Some areas were lacking initially in relation to look and feel, but have been implemented later, nothing that was not featured was detrimental but nice to see added later
It allows customers to choose access to the store from a dedicated app in both Android and iOS stores for ease of use and minimal expense in terms of development, work or time.
The interface to create a project is super easy and the stages to build the app are very clear. We found no breakdowns in the process to help us create an app as quickly as possible.
Although the AppMySite concept is amazing, there needs to be significantly more development on adding pages that go beyond the existing website. For example, creating a menu is either selecting it from your site, or selecting some of the pages from your site. Once done, you cant adjust the order they appear. Since Wordpress menus are easy to create, we have that workaround, but it would be nice to not have to do that outside of AppMySite
One of the easiest ways to create an app in hours or at worst days without any coding at all. This can be built simultaniously while a website is being built also, which increases our offering over other competitors.
App my site makes taking your e-commerce business to the App Store fast an easy.
I would love to have a few more options for displaying products, such as adding support to show tags as a display
Having an app make my business look more professional, which increases my credibility.
I've had a client asking me to build an app for her site for UHAGES. I was like, hard no. Then I found AppMySite, and within like... an hour-ish, I had an app. Amazing.
If you have a set of custom design, custom plugins + theme builders, etc - you might need to do some updating and such to make the magic happen, but it's not undoable.
App-ing a site is like... SO expensive. With AppMySite - it was SO effective, so fast, and just a few hours of work. Truly dope. Even more valuable if you have an ecommerce shop.
It is so easy to use - Co Coding - Looks fantastic
It took a little while to figure out, but once I did, it was awesome
I have an e-com store and I wanted to make it into an app.
Thos app is very easy to use and have a good template design
Maybe try to make tuto with example and link
Applmysite update my business with more conversion
Ability to quickly create a mobile app through their easy to use platform and push the app straight to the popular app stores
You won't build a gem that will win design awards and the apps generated are little more than a mobile version of your website
See my "dislike" comment above? Where appmysite lacks in design it makes up in features and useability and what really sets having an app apart from a mobile set is how easy it makes it for your users and customers to find and interact with your business or website, as well as the opportunity to send push notifications and more to really stay in touch and keep on top of their minds
AppMySite isn't complicated and I don't have to know coding to make it work. Operating a business online also means you need an app to gain visitors. AppMySite is the logical addition to my site.
There isn't much to dislike about AppMySite. It's easy to get started. We were able to use it and start over a couple of times when we found out what we needed without any problems.
AppMySite was able to leap us past the app creation process and get going with little hassle. My employee was able to pick up where I stopped and continue quickly. Time is money and AppMySite saves both.
Always a choice if your app needs to be and running in a very short span of time
At times certain components don't feel like the best UX
An application without spending a lot of paper on developer contracts and that too in a very short span of time is definitely a problem solver for me
So far, very positive experience. I have two apps up on both Google Play Store and Apple Store. The aprove it was never so easy.
I would just like to improve the translation. Maybe have the option to choose the message that appears after checkout (in my site clients get the number of the bank account) would also be nice. I have a multi-language site, and would like to have the opportunity to choose the language of the app by "clicking" on it in an options-screen. Right now it is automatic.
Save me tons of hours in development. Not kidding!
I'm thrilled with how AppMySite turned my website into a professional app without any coding. It's user-friendly and the live preview on my phone is a killer feature! The ability to directly publish on the app stores is a huge bonus for a busy small business owner like me.
Honestly, it's tough to find anything I dislike about AppMySite. If I had to nitpick, I'd say I'm always eager for even more design options and features. They update regularly though, so new features are often just around the corner.
AppMySite is solving the major problem of accessibility and cost for mobile app development. I no longer need to hire expensive developers or learn to program. I create and update my apps quickly, keeping them aligned with my latest web content. This has widened my market reach, improved customer experience, and ultimately, it's boosting my sales—all at a minimal cost.
How easy it is to make modifications to the app and preview the changes. AppMySite makes it very easy to build a basic app. Customer service is prompt at replying and helpful with resolving issues. It was very easy to implement our app and launch it on the Google Pla store.
Missing some key features with the WordPress plugin which I have spoken to support about but have been waiting a couple of months now to sort. I look forward to seeing how AppMySite develops, the platform is great just needs more features and better integration with WordPress with more flexibility in how you present the content.
AppMySite enabled us to quickly launch an app for one of our websites.
Easy to use, affordable, caters for multiple platforms and operating systems
There is no option for Shopify stores. I would rate higher if it could Shopify as it's a major platform.
Being able to produce an app without learning code and hiring developers which can cost a lot
The solution is quite simple and easy to get started. It is very friendly for non-technical users who want an equivalent app for their website. My experience of using AppMySite decent enough for me to use it as primary app. I've seen it work okay with Wordpress sites and it provides very minimal functionality when using something which is not wordpress. For shopping websites, WooCommerce is recommended as it integrates well with AppMySite.
Although it works reasonably well for simple websites, most of the websites look same. And the templates used in this builder give the feel of a basic solution. The app performance is also a bit of an issue but it has been increasing over the last few years.
It has given me a simple way to create a mobile app for my website. The app for news wordpress site works well almost all the time and has got a few cool features which I didn't have on the website.
I appreciate the ability to convert a website into an app without a lot of coding. The process is well documented and the steps are clear. However, while creating the app may be simple, it cannot be considered easy.
Once your app is created is when it gets difficult. Working with Apple, and to some extent Google, to publish the app is very difficult. I finally gave up. I couldn't justify the time and expense required to make the app public.
It allowed me to create an app, but Google and (especially) Apple made it next to impossible to launch. While I'm no programmer, I know my way around a computer. I think a lot of people who design websites will need to hire a consultant to actually publish the app on the respective app stores. It was not fun. I finally gave up trying.
In principle this is a good idea, but I still find implementation to be difficult at times. But I thin they are working to fix it
Bugs are still causing problems. The product needs more work. But you should still consider buying it
I have two small businesses that i would like as apps
This is a nice plugin that allows you to create a mobile app from your Wordpress website. Sell your products directly from the app on your customers' mobile devices.
It is fairly easy to use but you might need help with the launch to the app store/play store
Simple app creation for wordpress
Its intuitive design. The east at which we can design the app and create a build.
I feel the support should be a bit better. I had instances in which my app disappeared from the profile periodically over many months and i had to face a lot of compliance issues from my investors. Eventually the issue is solved. But then it took a lot of time.
Developing an app from scratch without relying on the developers to do it. I can deploy the changes on my own - quickly.
Easy to use and setup, configuration is easy and the interface is nice and customisable with quick publishing.
The speed of the application. We've got a powerful backend and have done everything possible to speed up the connection - even though our site works incredibly quickly. Never fixed
The only problem is speed, so there's no other problems that comes to mind.
The system offers an easy to use interface that allows us to create apps with no programming.
I think the homepage builder could do with a lot more work and customizability.
It allows us to turn our tourism site into a mobile app.
I like how easy it is to use. I was able to build an app pretty fast upon starting to use the tool.
I think it can have more options in terms of the type of features for your app. This would make the canvas more usable and allow us to build more generic apps.
They are making significant updates, I just dont think they are coming out fast enough. App builders need to keep up with the times because things change and improve very fast.
Web site is easy to explore options for you tp createan app from any website look way easy for n tue website
That there ia no guidance as to how to create app for IOS operating systems and it should be clearly explained process to do so or better off yet the entire process shpuld be streamlined via appmysite
What are they solving currently I don't know since I last used it I was not provided any updates.
The creating, settings and adjustments of every app are intuitive and easy to find. Overall the dashboard is very clean and structed. I like the ability to add more functions to my App via add ons.
It kinda feels like the customers are not always up to date on whats happening at Appmysite. A regular newsletter with the newest updates and functionalities would be very appreciated. The forum for customers seems discontinued.
Easy creation of native mobile apps without any coding skills and no big compromises. Wordpress-user sync is essential for me to provide a unified login for my customers both on web and mobile (App)
