The ease of making changes; it's as easy making few clicks. the database is also easily manipulated to ensure that you can iterate without hassle. Compared to competitors Bubble offers an amazing front and back end solution
The fact that you cannot use front end loops limits the ability to perform some tasks efficently. For example it is very difficult to manipulate on page data, that can then be processed with backend workflows.
Bubble allows you to launch MVP products in a very short space of time. We have used it in many real life instances, for example we created an occupational Health and Safety application that allows companies to track incidents at work.
Bubble is the most comprehensive no code platform available - if you can think of an app idea, you can most likely build it on Bubble. With the capability to integrate with outside platforms and add custom code, as well, Bubble puts a ton of power at your fingertips.
Because of how much control Bubble gives you over the development and customization of your app, it comes with a learning curve. This isn't a bad thing, but can feel like a negative if you don't anticipate it or don't understand why it's there.
Bubble runs our business, and we also help other folks build businesses using the platform. Personally, Bubble gives us a cost effective way to create completely customized solutions for our internal and external business needs. Professionally, Bubble gives us a great platform with which to help other people launch their own custom businesses.
Bubble.io truly stands out in the vast sea of no-code platforms, and the reason is its unparalleled flexibility. While many platforms lock you into specific templates or workflows, Bubble gives you the freedom to craft web applications tailored to your vision. The drag-and-drop interface is intuitive, but its depth goes beyond the surface. You can customize almost every element, embed third-party integrations, and even get down to granular conditional actions and workflows. It's a game-changer for both beginners and those who have dabbled in code before but want to speed up their development process. In essence, Bubble.io doesn’t just hand you a tool – it hands you an entire toolbox. This flexibility empowers users to build anything from simple landing pages to complex web applications without ever touching a line of code.
Learning Curve: While Bubble.io is designed to be a no-code platform, there's still a learning curve, especially if you're diving into its more advanced features. Some might find it overwhelming initially.
Swift Development Cycle: Without the need to learn coding syntax or troubleshoot minute coding errors, I've been able to bring my ideas to life in a fraction of the time it would take with traditional development. Cost-Efficient: Hiring developers or outsourcing software projects can be quite expensive. With Bubble.io, I've managed to circumvent those hefty fees, crafting solutions at a more affordable rate. Empowerment: One of the most gratifying benefits is the empowerment and independence I've gained. I'm no longer reliant on a developer's schedule or constrained by their vision. I can iterate, adapt, and refine my software as I see fit. Diverse Application Possibilities: From simple landing pages to intricate web applications, the flexibility of Bubble.io means I can address a multitude of needs without seeking separate tools or platforms. Collaboration and Community: Being part of the Bubble community has also been a boon. Whenever I face challenges, there's a vibrant and helpful community ready to assist, share insights, or provide feedback. In essence, Bubble.io has democratized software development for me, removing barriers and opening a world of digital possibilities previously out of reach.
The platform enables high-quality web app development with surprisingly sophisticated capabilities. The built-in database makes it quick and easy to get started. Great documentation and an enthusiastic online community of experts with many free tutorials. The Bubble support team is also quick and very helpful.
The sophistication of the platform is excellent but it comes at a small price. It's a very comprehensive interface and takes time to become acquainted with the massive number of features. But, if you are prepared to put in the time, it's well worth the investment as you will be rewarded with extensive capabilities.
Bubble gives you direct hands-on control as you develop your web app. We design in Figma and then translate the designs across into Bubble, and we have a professional, scaleable and sophisticated service. If/when we scale massively we will rethink our tech stack, but for now, as we grow the business and budgets are tight, Bubble will do the job admirably.
As a designer, this is the first time I feel so empowered, I couldn't find anything as powerful as bubble.io Currently, we're building a two-sided marketplace where we allow users to upload their own content and we approve it before it goes online. It took us 6 weeks of learning and 8 days of working to build the entire marketplace and bring it online, we have tried to build something similar in the past and it took 3 months to find a suitable developer and another 3 months of building, you can imagine the cost.
It requires a few weeks to learn, but with anything this powerful, this timeline is nothing. Consider learning coding to get the same results, you need at least 2 to 3 years, not 6 weeks. One thing I would improve is the designs, but I am picky since I am a designer :)
It's made it insanely easy for me to build a platform and work with users without needing anyone, I don't need a designer, a developer, a database expert, etc. I did it all by myself. And it is not just MVP, there are companies out there with USD 2.5 million yearly revenue and they're built on the bubble, one example is BetterLegal https://betterlegal.com/
I was a Visual Basic developer in the 1990s and early 2000s. Although you could create business objects, etc, VB's event drive nature allowed you to get things done without a CompSci degree. Well, Bubble has done that with the web. Watch a few YouTube videos from the ecosystem and you will be on your way.
They have changed the plans a few times since I have started. Nothing has gotten in the way of being productive though.
Allows for a non-traditional web developer to create solutions that work, scale, and are fit for purpose at a fraction of the cost.
Robust NoSql database with an "out of the box" REST API. It's easy to create, change and manage data models. I also like the new responsive engine for creating layouts.
The app performance can't keep up with a traditional solution built from scratch in JS, or similar, but it's getting better. I also wish it would be easier to embed and run external code. We use a lot of external APIs to create interactive maps or charts. The HTML element needs some work.
Creating fast prototypes and MVPs, we use Bubble quite a lot to test different ideas. I was also able to market smaller software solutions made in Bubble to clients.
Bubble.io is a no-code web app builder. They have a clean UI with a good process flow to make the work easier and smoother. A lot of backend processing is automated like SignIn, User Registration, EMail verification, Logout etc. It also has a lot of plugins which will make it further easier to build your apps.
The pricing is generalized a bit high, It takes time to master bubble even though it's a drag and drop platform, having a basic coding HTML/CSS understanding would help to learn it more easily.
With Bubble, we can build a complex app in a matter of time since it has a lot of work already automated with a lot of other plugins. This helps develop proof-of-concept or MVP apps very easily and quickly.
Highly customizable drag and drop editor and the new responsive engine is just awesome
I didn't have any issues using bubble, one thing bubble can improve is allowing us to share reusable elements/blocks between apps easily.
Building my own SaaS without code.
Nice tool to build a SaaS based CRM - MVP and test it on the market. Gonna to try it. No-code is the new code.
I don't have enough feedback yet to say anything.
Same, I don't have enough feedback yet to say anything.
It is incredible how much time and funds Bubble.io has saved us. From the few quotes we gathered before commiting to Bubble, if we got our app done traditionally, we would have easily spent upwards of 25x of what we spent developing on Bubble. The no-code workflows are pretty in-depth, so the sky is the limit with the app's functions, but at the same time, they are easy to understand. While we did outsource some development to Bubble pros, there are many tweaks a 'normal' person can do without too much time commitment to learning - as their learning resources are on point, quick and easy to follow. The plugin and template marketplace is also helpful, and most questions or issuses people faced have already been answered by the community on the forums. We encountered a bug a few months after launch with some unsolvable issues occouring from no where, which prevented from publishing the app. We found a workaround, but to my pleasent suprise, when reporting the bug, the Bubble team got back to us and didn't just give us an automated response. They actually looked into the problem personally.
The responsive design element of the no-code solution is the only thing that in my eyes prevents the product from being perfect. It is very finicky and inconsistent from my experience. I see the potential in what they did with the ai element of it, where it is easy to use for any user, but I would love the option to have more control, and have it done like it is in Webflow.
As an agency, we cut down on time wasted in 'communication hell' by creating our own platform for all project management and client communication. The client dashboard we created additionally makes our service more premium, desirable, and churn rates have dropped significantly because of it.
Power, possibilities, and speed of implementation. No need for a month of planning, two months of coding, and a month for testing. All can be done in weeks. Super productive.
Lack of availability of proper education in Bubble
Everything impossible in Wix or even WP easily can be solved in Bubble. Super smart.
A great implementation of code-less app building, democratises software engineering. Also extensible if required.
Elastic search and page load speeds can be slow. However, this is improving. Unable to self host - a Docker based implementation or similar will be a great boon.
built and deployed a SaaS product. We brought development in-house and stopped outsourcing. Now have complete control of our engineering and product development.
no-code nature with the powerful API connector common sense logic backend API Forum Very responsive email support
Everytime you purchase something on the platform, it charges you per transaction (plugin, plugin, subscription). Some non-US credit cards charge an arm and a leg. No ability to test plugins on your side before you decide to purchase. The new free plan, the hobby was ideal for certain charitable projects. No ability to faciliate a GET from your app (besides data), someone can only ping you, and then you send back an API call with results
Business software for industries where generic software is not a good fit unless a company spends a fortune on customization Developed a powerful ERP, CRM, HRM, SRM ecosystem for a particular industry.
I like the ability to develop powerful apps quickly without the need to invest large sums of money upfront.
I dislike most the responsive engine. Its behavior is counterintuitive. Making pages responsive is a slog.
I'm now able to offer webs apps along with web pages.
It's reliable and freedom to handle custom cases by using external APIS and plugins and common cases are already handleable with pre-built stuff
There is reusability at the element level for a app but it can reuseable in other apps
There is template level reusability but there should be the ability to reuse elements and cases into other apps in a bubble
Intuitive development environment with powerful functionality
I would like more community, to share experience
create online stores + LMS
I have an idea, I can immediately implement it, immediately check it. Immediately I can fix the problems found and move on. The task can be solved in different ways.
There is no way to transfer the created product to third-party hosting.
First of all, this is a great opportunity to quickly create a MVP and check its performance. The benefits are speed and cost of development.
Intuitive interface. Without knowledge of any programming language, you can easily figure it out. There is also a forum where you can find answers to your questions.
yes, of course, the possibilities are limited compared to applications on the code, but you can always find some simplified solution that can be implemented on bubble
I’ve been working as a developer for more than 2 years, the applications that we create are cabinets for loyalty programs, personal accounts of users of different platforms
