Identical workload units, identical editors, identical everything except the ability to ship a native mobile app. If you are building a web app — which is what most Bubble users build — your entry price is $29 and the number on the page when you land is roughly double it.

What Is Bubble?
Bubble is not a website builder, and the distinction matters when you are comparing prices. Wix and Webflow produce pages; Bubble produces applications. You get a database, a visual workflow engine for logic, an API connector, user authentication, and version control — the components of a software product rather than a brochure. That is why its costs look high against site builders and reasonable against developer salaries.
The 2026 product covers both web and native mobile from the same editor, with mobile builds, live app versions, and over-the-air updates managed inside the platform. That capability is the reason the pricing page now has three tabs — Web & Mobile, Web, and Mobile — and the reason the default tab shows the highest figures.
How Bubble Works
- Priced per app, not per seat. One subscription covers the application; editors are capped by tier.

What actually decides your plan:
- Check which tab you are reading. The mobile premium is $30 on Starter, $90 on Growth, and $200 on Team — a 103%, 76%, and 57% increase respectively for capability you may never use. Nothing else changes between the two columns. If your product is a web app, price it from the Web tab and ignore the landing figures entirely.
- The upgrade trigger is a second person, not more traffic. Starter includes one app editor. The moment a co-founder, contractor, or designer needs to open the editor, you are on Growth at $119 — a fourfold jump driven by a seat rather than by usage.
- Capacity gets more expensive as you climb, not cheaper. On the web tab, Starter works out at roughly $17 per 100,000 workload units, Growth at about $48, and Team at about $70. That inversion tells you plainly what the upper tiers sell: version control, branches, two-factor authentication, sub-apps, and collaboration. You are not buying volume, so do not upgrade expecting it.
- Buy workload rather than tiers if usage is the problem. Bubble sells workload add-ons on every plan specifically so you do not have to move up for capacity. Given the per-unit arithmetic above, that is usually the cheaper path.
- The free plan cannot ship. No live website and no custom domain, which makes it a genuine build-and-learn environment but not a soft launch. Your first live deployment costs $29.
- Two days of server logs on Starter is tight. A bug reported on Monday about Friday’s behaviour is already unreachable. Growth’s 14 days is the first realistic debugging window for a live product.
Who Should Use Bubble
- Non-technical founders building a real product. The clearest case, and the one Bubble is genuinely good at — database, logic, auth, and payments without an engineer.
- Teams validating before they hire. Building the first version in Bubble is dramatically cheaper than a development contract, and the result is a working application rather than a prototype.
- Internal tools and marketplaces. Multi-user apps with permissions and workflows sit squarely in Bubble’s strengths.
- Solo builders on a budget. $29 a month for a live, custom-domain web application is difficult to beat.
It fits poorly for simple marketing sites, where Webflow, Framer, or Wix are cheaper and faster; for storefronts, where Shopify does in an afternoon what Bubble takes weeks to approximate; and for anything expected to reach very high traffic, where the workload meter becomes the dominant cost.

The Verdict
Bubble remains the most capable no-code platform for building an actual application, and the gap between it and the app-on-a-spreadsheet tools is wide. A database, a visual logic engine, an API connector, authentication, and native mobile builds in one place is a genuine software stack, and for a founder without engineers it compresses months and tens of thousands of dollars into a subscription. Judged against a development contract rather than against Wix, the pricing is modest.
Read the pricing page carefully, because it does not open on the number most buyers want. The default Web & Mobile tab shows Starter at $59; the Web tab shows the same plan at $29, with identical workload units, identical editors, and identical everything but native app publishing. The mobile premium runs from 57% to 103% depending on tier. If you are building for the browser, switch tabs before you compare Bubble against anything else, because the comparison you make on the landing figures will be wrong by roughly double.
Two things determine what you will actually pay over time. The first is collaboration, not usage: Starter permits one app editor, so the day a second person needs to open the project you are on Growth at $119 — a fourfold increase triggered by a seat. Honestly, I cannot think of anything. Everything that annoyed me was fixed or resolved by the bubble team. You can find any workaround with the freedom that the editor gives you.

Bubble is exceptional at what it does. I have a lot of experience building client projects with it and haven't really found any limitations. The user interface is good, deployment and hosting is straightforward, and they have an excellent support team and community. Can't recommend it enough. Rapid development of web apps and MVPs.
It's just fun to use. It works well with the way my brain works. It's intuitive. High performance. Responsive support team. Active and knowledgeable community.
Some things are much more difficult to do compared to traditional methods. There are times when I could write a SQL statement in no time but it takes a lot of trial and error in Bubble. That's not the fault of the product and if I need that kind of control I could do it the old school way. The trade off is well worth it for my product at this phase.

They have some small issues with external APIs such as the SQL Connector plugin for external databases limiting to only 200 rows (which can actually be circumvented in a very funny way) - or their API connector not returning raw_data which is just sad.

Everything about bubble is impressive. I've been a web developer since 2003, and until the end of 2022, I coded everything by hand. I had a client with a massive project and a short deadline, and I knew there was no way to do it without using a tool like bubble. Bubble is so intuitive and easy to use, I've almost switched my entire business model to building everything on bubble. I can now do projects that would take 6-8 months to build in 3-4 weeks, and I don't need to hire a bunch of developers to keep it moving. I love bubble.
I don't like that you can't export your code to host elsewhere. But it's not a deal-breaker. The benefit would be that I no longer have to configure server environments and constantly maintain, refactor, and debug code.
Bubble is making it easier for my team to complete large projects. It increases workflow, and we even use it for some of our internal company tools. I can't remember the last time I found a product that I was able to use to benefit my business processes; it was probably zapier.

It is still fairly hard to use and there are sooooo many clicks involved, that I now have to use two mice alternating hands to not get repetitive strain injuries. I am not even joking.

As a designer, this is the first time I feel so empowered, I couldn't find anything as powerful as bubble.io Currently, we're building a two-sided marketplace where we allow users to upload their own content and we approve it before it goes online. It took us 6 weeks of learning and 8 days of working to build the entire marketplace and bring it online, we have tried to build something similar in the past and it took 3 months to find a suitable developer and another 3 months of building, you can imagine the cost.
It requires a few weeks to learn, but with anything this powerful, this timeline is nothing. Consider learning coding to get the same results, you need at least 2 to 3 years, not 6 weeks. One thing I would improve is the designs, but I am picky since I am a designer :)
It's made it insanely easy for me to build a platform and work with users without needing anyone, I don't need a designer, a developer, a database expert, etc. I did it all by myself. I was a Visual Basic developer in the 1990s and early 2000s. Although you could create business objects, etc, VB's event drive nature allowed you to get things done without a CompSci degree. Well, Bubble has done that with the web. Watch a few YouTube videos from the ecosystem and you will be on your way.

Robust NoSql database with an "out of the box" REST API. It's easy to create, change and manage data models. I also like the new responsive engine for creating layouts.
The app performance can't keep up with a traditional solution built from scratch in JS, or similar, but it's getting better. I also wish it would be easier to embed and run external code. We use a lot of external APIs to create interactive maps or charts. The HTML element needs some work.
Creating fast prototypes and MVPs, we use Bubble quite a lot to test different ideas. I was also able to market smaller software solutions made in Bubble to clients.
Bubble is opening up true software development to everyone in the world. My company/product would be almost nearly impossible to be built/operational without Bubble. Bubble automates all of the complexity of web devleopment behind the scenes so that you can actually focus on building what matters, and not get caught up in the stuff that developers simply don't want to do. But perhaps the most transformational aspect of Bubble is that it opens up skillsets/abilities that you never thought you had. You can grow more as a person using Bubble on your own than in any other professional endeavor or career path.
No native mobile app support yet, but I'm sure that's coming soon. Once they have that and make the UI more slick/fast, it'll be truly unstoppable.

Bubble.io is a no-code web app builder. They have a clean UI with a good process flow to make the work easier and smoother. A lot of backend processing is automated like SignIn, User Registration, EMail verification, Logout etc. It also has a lot of plugins which will make it further easier to build your apps.
The pricing is generalized a bit high, It takes time to master bubble even though it's a drag and drop platform, having a basic coding HTML/CSS understanding would help to learn it more easily.
With Bubble, we can build a complex app in a matter of time since it has a lot of work already automated with a lot of other plugins. This helps develop proof-of-concept or MVP apps very easily and quickly.
Bubble as a tool is a true partner to your creativity. What I mean is that when you have an idea in your mind of what you want to build, it's very possible to do so quickly. For example, as I write this, the G2 site has a progress bar that is filling in until I meet the character minimum for a review. If I wanted to integrate a feature like that into my form inputs on Bubble, easy, draw in the progress bar into the interface and set it up to calculate the % of current characters versus the minimum required. I also like how you can achieve multi-platform app experiences pretty seamlessly. Meaning, that you create one database and it serves desktop and mobile experiences simultaneously. If a user makes updates, saves a few things on the app's web version, it will immediately show up on their account in the mobile app because of how databases work in Bubble. This setup is standard for every platform out there, Airbnb, Spotify, Whatsapp. You add a song to your playlist on the mobile app and boom, it's in your web browser's playlist 2 seconds later. I think others overestimate the difficulty in creating mobile apps with Bubble. No it's not perfect, and no, it may not even be the technology stack you want 5 years from now. But that stack is going to cost you $100,000s whereas Bubble is far cheaper for those looking to get started quickly with launching their product idea into the market and not worrying about their tech because Bubble has handled it all on the backend!

It's not easy to find developers skilled at using bubble to build web apps because it is a relatively new platform. You will need to pay almost double of what you would pay to developers of mainstream platforms like wordpress etc.

Even as a beginner, you can get pretty far with this NO-Code-Platform. If you put effort into it and go through their tutorials and videos, which by the way, are great, you can in no time become a minor expert. I haven't done the Academy yet, but as soon as I find time, I will. I only have basic knowledge of PHYTON, and still, I was able to build a website with a database interacting with customers through forms and lots of more cool stuff.

I build an interactive website. So far, I have reached stage one, and there is, by far more possible, and I am still learning. The main benefit is that one can do amazing stuff with only basic knowledge of databases and programming. No knowledge is maybe possible, but you will end up with a drag-and-drop website builder only.
It is incredible how much time and funds Bubble.io has saved us. From the few quotes we gathered before commiting to Bubble, if we got our app done traditionally, we would have easily spent upwards of 25x of what we spent developing on Bubble.The no-code workflows are pretty in-depth, so the sky is the limit with the app's functions, but at the same time, they are easy to understand. While we did outsource some development to Bubble pros, there are many tweaks a 'normal' person can do without too much time commitment to learning - as their learning resources are on point, quick and easy to follow. The plugin and template marketplace is also helpful, and most questions or issuses people faced have already been answered by the community on the forums. We encountered a bug a few months after launch with some unsolvable issues occouring from no where, which prevented from publishing the app. We found a workaround, but to my pleasent suprise, when reporting the bug, the Bubble team got back to us and didn't just give us an automated response. They actually looked into the problem personally.
The responsive design element of the no-code solution is the only thing that in my eyes prevents the product from being perfect. It is very finicky and inconsistent from my experience. I see the potential in what they did with the ai element of it, where it is easy to use for any user, but I would love the option to have more control, and have it done like it is in Webflow.

Bubble brings together front and backend development services together in a simple, easy to use but powerful environment. It sells itself as a 'no code' environment, but it has enough power to be very useful for those who have an understanding of code, and with an extensible environment via APIs, it brings a lot of flexibility. In other words, its great both for amateurs and professionals. By bringing the frontend and backend together into one place, it makes it very easy to evolve an application - to rapidly experiment and to test out approaches with little development cost. One can do in weeks what would take months via normal full stack development.
Bubble is quite a new tool, and they need to put a lot more work into the interface - the workflow tools that control the scripting can soon become difficult to manage. Currently you can only copy and paste one item at a time, which can make for some tedious work, whilst variables that are stored against elements can very easily become difficult to find. They have an interesting challenge ahead - they need to keep the amateur happy but they also need to keep the power user happy. Will be interesting to see how it develops!
