Atom provides best interface and themes to start developing and coding. It also provides lot of integrations withing our development process like listing bugs, gitlab integration, trello integration made by in house developers to boost productivity without leaving the editor. the best part is atom editor is opensource and provides lot of regular updates. Additionally atom provides theming option which is really good for customization within the application, we do have build extension built internally.
Atom editor is sluggish when running in 2 GB RAM machines and doesn't scale when using it for development in low configuration machines. other than that we didnt have any negative experience with atom editor

The coding environment in atom is highly customizable, for increased productivity like applying code formatting on save or saving a code file when the window loses focus. It has a great eco-system of packages with documentations and source code hosted on github
It lakes a bit of time to open and fully load the project files in a folder. The installation does not show progress which can be confusing when the installation takes long
Atom offers a bare bones code editor than can be build up to your specification using the thousands of available themes, packages and plugins.
Atom is a really useful code editor, i think is the easiest to learn and use. Additionally atom works hand by hand with GitHub and that’s what makes atom one of the best code esitors
Maybe for advance software developer atom can be boring and featureless, but i personally think that it isn’t that bad and featureless. Is all a perspective cuestion
I have been using atom since i was 13 years old and i have done a lot of web aplications, games and tons of stuff with it.
Atom is a new entrant to text editing software market. It is packed with a lot of features. Personally, I like that you can code your own Atom, since it is open-source. I have created number of plugins that I shared on community forums and I also downloaded some addins from these forums.
I dislike that Atom is not widespread app. I think if community increased, there would not be any competition on this niche market. Atom would dominate every device and operating system.
Atom has made my life much easier. Writing scripts takes much less time and codes look very beautiful.
Atom is a really great text editing application. Its biggest pros are integration with GitHub. You can easily pull requests and do any operation with this application. I think Atom offers users great collaboration services, it is very easy for multiple users to collaborate and work on the same file. In addition to its outstanding features, Atom is an open-source application which makes it highly customizable.
Atom autocomplete feature seems to be buggy if you are using this software solely for coding. If language is not recognized or supported you need to install plugins which are very tedious things to do.
Atom provides users with modern text editing software with IDE features which creates a synergy that no competitor can match.
I liked because is fast and light weight. It works similar as Sublime, but definitely way better and fast.
Sometimes it get stuck and blocked so I have to reload the app. The use of plugins sometimes is weird and they might not be developed for the operator system and they dont work as expected.
I'm a web developer, so Im using Atom for my day to day base.
Atom is the application that I came across a year ago. Since then, it has become my daily driver. It is full of features and customization possibilities are nearly endless. Everyone can customize its functionality and make it do whatever they want. In addition to its features and user-friendly interface, the application is free to use and open-source.
Comparing Atom with other text editors, it seems to me that advantages are obvious. When it comes to weaknesses, one big weakness for Atom is compatibility. It only works on Windows devices. Personally, I have no problem with that, but there are people who desperately want to have it on other operating systems.
Assigning shortcuts on text editor seems to increase my efficiency by decreasing the time I need to do something manually. Not only that its smart autocompletion also helped me on countless occasions.
