I was introduced to Cognism by a friend who was using it at the time. I booked a demo in through their site and I was impressed from the word go. I signed up 24hrs later so that I could get started. Their onboarding process is great and its really simple to get your head around. It's really easy to use from a search, campaign and integration point of view. It was really simple to get it set up with our CRM system and now when we have completed a campaign, all of the leads we want to track are synced. The data is really accurate - We've achieved some superb open rates, replies and clicks through to our website. I literally could not be happier with this product so far. It has genuinely saved me hours of time.
Honestly, I've not come across any issues yet at all. Everything has been really smooth
The problem we have had as a business is getting access to verified, GDPR compliant data that we can use to build our own database and a prospect pipeline. This is a huge drain on time and a very mundane job for anyone to do. Cognism solves this problem instantly. It lets you search for companies and contacts by industry and various other search criteria (very detailed and granular) You can then build personas and add people to campaigns when you are ready to begin with your outreach. It tracks all of your campaign stats really well, from open rate to clicks and everything in between. It has solved the exact problem that we were facing.
The segmenting to search for the specific type of persona we like to target.
On occasion there is a data lag if someone changes jobs. (Very Rare)

i use it as a lead sourcing tool for my team. This allows them to spend more time selling.
Cognism is very intuitive and has a wealth of features which can be used in various capacities within our business. I've been able to identify and contact potential leads as well as to check that the information we have on current clients is up to date. Our Account Manager is absolutely great - regularly checks in and provides tips for getting the most out of the system. I also really like the validation service to ensure that we are only contacting those whose systems allow contact, and that I can look at alternative methods of communication for those for whom email won't work.
It would be great to provide feedback if we find records that we know are no longer accurate. It is always a bit disappointing when validation massively cuts your list down, but this is beyond Cognism's control.
Cognism provides sight of companies outside of relying on LinkedIn, and importantly sight of companies and their key employees who we have not yet engaged with. The scope is huge and not purely in the UK. We are therefore then able to contact companies who for whatever reason are operating slightly outside of the usual suspects.
There is a wealth of customer information which we've found that we wouldn't normally have thought to utilise. This has really opened up marketing campaigns for us globally!

I have used so many lead gen tools like Zoominfo but nothing is like Cognism. Being a SDR/BDR/ AE or anything on this path leads are very important and having the ability to have campaigns kinda like folders for your leads is amazing. If you're a sales manager you build lists and send it around to your team super quick so what's everyone working on. CS team is amazing if you have questions. a cool thing that you can do is if you have an event you can upload a list on Cognism to cross-references the leads. I love this tool honestly check them out made like life so much easier and cut down so much time.
The only thing I would change is the time it can take to get lists back
The best problem that it's solving for me is that I have the right person to talk to every time and with campaigns, I know what I am working on
The platform is incredibly user friendly. The layout and navigation makes it one of the most simple system I have ever used. It's an easy way to generate new leads and contact them all under one system. Also, the team (our account manager in particular) are so helpful and friendly, they listen to your needs and will do what they can to develop the system to cater to them.
There could be a better reporting function on the system.
Our main problem was a working email automation and to have new leads to push through that email journey. With Cognism we have the tools to handle both of these easily and effectively.
The Cognism prospector tool has changed how we approach new business development as it makes the process significantly more efficient and effective. Within a month of using the system we have generated a number of new leads and this is continuing to rise. The customer success support is also great to help advise on how to improve the way we use the system.
There is the occasional developmental issue that crops up but these tend to be dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Increased new business outreach to help fill the sales pipeline. We are now generating a number of new business leads every week using the system. The prospector automation also saves a significant amount of time and therefore allows the sales team to focus on other areas.

Integration can take a while to understand but the support team could not be more helpful.
Lead generation and product positioning. Our lead database has surged and we have been able to skip the sales process so we have gone from enquiry to order, in some instances.
Probably some of the most pro-active, friendly, and genuine customer service/success I've ever experienced. Our Account Manager Oscar has perfectly understood our business needs and key demographics, and has done everything in his power to make sure Cognism helps us succeed. We've been extremely busy recently with recruitment and haven't had to time to utilise Cognism effectively, but Oscar has been super helpful in making sure we don't lose out during this period, and has done a lot of above-and-beyond work for us.
Need more time to see if any apparent disadvantages - but nothing immediate springs to mind. It's very easy to use.
Lead Gen and Prospecting - access to incredibly useful data.
Accurate prospecting. Great support, powerful contact distribution, it’s like having a Whole sales team and as a startup, I need all the help I can get. Responsible for setting up several weekly meetings and converting prospects into sales.
So far, nothing. It’s a good deal. It’s not inexpensive, but it’s less than hiring a sales team and more affective.
I’m solving client prospecting and meeting set up with Cognism.
Our CSM Sophia & Florence have both been extremely attentive & really focused & listened to what our company is trying to achieve. We actually signed a new deal in the first month of using Cognism & have had a couple of meetings booked off the first campaign. This is also an effective way for gaining brand awareness with a targeted audience of contacts.
Quite a few undeliverable emails but I guess some of these are the nature of trying to reach multiple accounts in this way.
Cognism has given us the opportunity to reach out to many more customers in the market then our sales team can reach individually. If we get a few more meetings lined up then this will prove to be a valuable tool to work alongside our current sales practices.
I like the best the ease of use, the flexibility of the prospecter (search engine of the solution), the kindness of the employees and the cost of the service.

Based solely on volume I think Cognism shines really, there aren’t many competitors of theirs who can offer the sheer volume of B2B contacts that they can.
There were very few set backs, it can be long winded designing a new search with no CSV uploads but as you get more comfortable with the tool, this speeds up greatly.
No problems really, a massive benefit in a huge amount of contacts both for our marketing team to raise brand awareness and, obviously, for our sales team to approach new prospective clients.
