I'm quite new to it's use and haven't yet gone into all its capabilities such as using credits, which i shall soon discover. But as a real estate agent and future SMMA owner: The ability to find, connect and research business details is infinitely useful. Plus there is such an ease of use.
My own understanding of its full utilisation. I am sue they have a structure and training but have yet to dive right in

I find it very useful that I can extract the email ids of any person required very quickly and email them using my tools.
Sometimes it fails to provide the exact email address as the data uploaded on their website is somehow 2-3 years old.
I use clearbit to extract the email ids of the prospects. I can search the name of any company and it helps me to extract the email ids of the persons working in the same company.

Integration with existing platform such as Google Analytics and Drift was smooth. The enrichment helps our form be lean. We can focus our asking for segmentation data instead of freely available information.
The match rate for people is somewhat limited, at least for my audience. When compared to company match rate for enrichment, you can expect to double it and reach 40-50%.

Clearbit allows us to instantly enrich our form conversions with just an email address, allowing us to ask additional qualification questions instead of information we need for routing. All of this while increasing our speed-to-lead. The platform sends our sales team notifications when their target accounts visit the website anonymously. In addition, we can create audiences and find new target accounts based on companies visiting pages on our site over a short period. Lastly, we can leverage that account visiting information in ad audiences with built-in integration to Facebook.
Would love to see additional integrations for ad platforms such as LinkedIn. I would also like to have more control over which old contacts are refreshed each month instead of the entire database, including old leads that are archived.
Clearbit is primarily solving our speed-to-lead which increasing the datapoints we can capture for our form conversions. In addition, it instantly enriches any offline event leads we upload.

Identifying who is visiting our website, seeing trends from visitors, and what web pages are performing well. We've been able to use this data cross-departmentally and even do some proactive outreach.
The Clearbit Web visitor tracking tool is very easy to install if you have access to your website's header tags. It is also free (for a limited amount of data). Thus far, they have not done the usual thing with free tools and badgered me to sign up to a paid service. I know other companies charge a considerable sum to provide the same service.
So far the only real issue is that the summary information about the visiting companies, e.g. their business category, doesn't always match their actual sector so we have to scrutinise every record. We also haven't worked out a successful workflow to target the visiting company and maximise the opportunity of the potential lead. We don't know specifically who has visited, let alone their job title. We don't know the search term by which they found us to help narrow the search down. Ethically, we also don't think people would like the opening gambit along the lines of 'we know you visited our website' would be received well by the recipient. So, we know we're potentially looking in the right haystack, but we still don't know exactly where to find the needle(s).
Clearbit is helping us to understand which companies have visited our website and potentially giving us an insight into which business categories are being attracted to a particular web page. Once this reaches a sufficient volume it will benefit us primarily in tailoring our content to attract the right visitors and, less precisely, identify potential new business leads to follow up on.

By shortening our forms, we are able to reduce friction and increase conversion rates, and by providing so much background information about people and accounts, our lead scoring model is even more polished now. Our top-of-funnel metrics wouldn't be where they are without Clearbit!
It can be tricky to implement on forms/landing pages, you'll definitely need a web developer to troubleshoot issues that arise on different browsers, but the effort is well worth it.
With Clearbit Enrichment, we are improving our lead generation by truncating forms alongside our web development efforts. Our SDRs also love the enriched data that we wouldn't be able to capture otherwise.
Clearbit Enrichment is an extremely easy-to-use tool. It integrates directly with Salesforce and enriches Lead, Contact, and Account records for which we may have incomplete or out-of-date data. Enrichment has saved us a significant amount of time by decreasing the amount of information we need to research manually to create a new "complete" Account record. We use Enrichment to append all of the missing data for important Account fields, saving hours each week. Enrichment on Leads allows us to append information for fields that may not have been included on a form submission. We also use Enrichment to keep our data up to date. The refresh feature allows us to have accurate data on our Accounts. It is also very helpful that Clearbit flags when any Leads/Contacts have switched roles so that we can update our records if needed.
There is some room for improvement on the match rate for personal emails. Clearbit is very strong with their matches for work emails, though.
We can easily enrich data on SFDC records where information is missing or out-of-date, which helps us get an accurate picture of the Accounts in our database. We also have access to valuable data (like Company Technologies) with Enrichment.
