As admin I like very much quick search for students, programs, students progress, create reports instantly, connection with other software
Poor students community communication facility
E-learning process
Very attentive customer service that goes out of their way to help solve problems, especially during a time when you know they are extremely busy!
None... Can't think of any. They do a fantastic job. Only wish they had hours based on US times.
The online training needs of our business.
Design wise there are many opportunities and you can customize to your own brand. It offers different types of content forms (pictures, videos, articles).
It's impossible to have a search bar which is needed for a online learning platform and you can't copy and paste text snippets easily. Two people can't edit the same page at the same time. It is very tiresome to add subtitles in videos.
Providing a platform that hosts our e-learning contents.
The LearnWorlds platform ... - provides a well thought through course design - Very nice features (outlined on paper) - attractive design On the surface, the LearnWorlds platform far surpasses other platforms I've researched. I left Thinkific because of the superior features and design of LearnWorlds.
The LearnWorlds platform has some severe usability issues for admins setting up courses that include: - a poorly designed information architecture for admins - some features that actually don't work when published (my current issue is social network links are setup correctly but don't work on the published site). It's apparent that the Development team doesn't thoroughly test, and because LearnWorlds is a fairly new service, this makes it a nightmare for course admins. I seem to be a usability tester constantly reporting issues that should be apparent. In addition, LearnWorlds customer support seems to be stuck on a tier one service level; I get canned answers that don't actually address the issue or that provide work arounds that actually work. I believe may be a stellar Course Platform a few years from now, but until they start thoroughly testing features before releasing and also changing the way they handle customer support, I don't recommend it at this time. They need some time under their belt and I need to get back to work because this is taking a really long time to work through!!!
At this time, I don't feel like LearnWorlds is receptive to working through problems with their customers. They appear to have their agenda to follow and customers must approach everything with that perspective. I recommend that they actually begin to listen and open up the conversation with admins. We actually use the product and we actually run into the usability issues. Overall, I like the idea of the system. I give LearnWorlds an A+ there, but it doesn't all work yet. That's a big problem. The benefits I believe we will see by using this system include: a better looking platform and one with great features when they get all the bugs worked through.
Course creation easy and easy to navigate.
buggy platform, slow support. I can not upload users in bulk and the support is slow. Interface is also old from early 2010s.
staff and customer training
I enjoy the course builder's functionality, however I've had issues changing fonts and colors on the learning pages.
Customer service! It's been a pain to deal with LearnWorlds, and they do not offer phone support. As an eLearning Designer, I'd suggest choosing an LMS company that has A+ customer service. In this case, I am giving up some of LearnWorld's tools for another company that can answer my questions - especially when timelines are a bit stiff.
I am using LearnWorlds as a simple LMS, to create courses for a client.
The platform is feature-rich, although they have cut corners on implementation both in terms of quality and flexibility. I like the website authoring tools that let you customize your pages and look & feel, but there are some major limitations that make no sense. The selection of lesson activity types is impressive, though it's missing some that should be obvious. It seems like they just wanted to have a LOT of features, but they skimped on flexibility, usability and quality.
Quality is terrible. It randomly deletes lesson activities that we spent hundreds of hours creating, there's no way to back up or copy to save your work, so it's just gone. Lessons will get into a state where you can't make any changes to them and you have to contact support to fix them (which takes 3-5 days). If you are working to deadlines, or if you don't want to have to constantly re-create your work, this is not the platform for you. Since we launched the platform has twice deleted our content without warning and then locked us out of making changes. Both times we were up against deadlines with affiliate partners and we had marketing queued up. This destroyed our credibility with our partners and led to potentially tens of thousands of dollars in lost revenue. Finally, even at the highest plan level ($249/month) they do not offer phone support, and their email support response times are terrible. It takes 2 days to get a response, and then they play the "did you try this" game with you, randomly throwing out things to try that have no chance of actually working, and wasting 2 days each time you have to tell them "no, that didn't work."
Create a business selling online professional development courses for educators. If the platform actually worked, our marketing is actually generating good leads and customers. However, it is hard to translate that into revenue when the platform is constantly buggy and content is being randomly deleted.
Feature rich program that seems to work as it says.
Customer service is non-existent. After upgrading our trial to the expensive Learning Centre subscription we expected some kind of contact from them because the subscription includes "2 hours Premium Onboarding and 24/7 Premium Support". We have received nothing. Not one of the 4 follow up emails to their online support requesting more information has been answered. Sadly, it was because of the favorable reviews for customer service elsewhere online that we were swayed to Learnworlds.
Lack of customer service is not a benefit unfortunately.
