There are many times when I have a body of text that I'd like to make into a video. It's easy to drop it into Lumen5 and let the app create bites of video stitched together in an intelligent way. It often picks creative assets for video and images that match what the text is talking about. It's normally spot on... but it is also easy to search and drop in alternative creative assets.

There aren't any downsides. Occasionally I've hit a bug but I let them know and they fix those small issues in a day or two. They're really great

Lumen5 is a simple, sleek. efficient way to make professional videos yourself. You have the ability to marry text, music and sparkling images that tell a complete story. We use Lumen5 at least once a week to promote our events, programs and overall mission.

Lumen5 has very few downsides. It would be nice to be able to intersperse quick "talking head" interviews into the standard videos we create. I'm told Lumen5 is working on that but the talking head component would complete the platform.

I create advertising videos for all my clients very often and the platform allows you to create very different videos. It has an excellent free music library.

I use this to amplify our content marketing efforts and easily turn blog posts into easy-to-digest videos. The vast library of stock video and audio makes it easy to achieve professional results. I can create a video from a blog post in under an hour. I can also create video content from a web page, which is great for my small business website.

The pricing structure is quite steep. I'm not convinced that the method for automatically pulling the best quotes is that helpful. I often end up cleaning the board and starting from scratch. And finally, some brands may also worry that their content will look very similar to others if they stick with the pre-made templates. Nothing - literally nothing. It's a new app undergoing a ton of active development, which sounds like it might be a nightmare, but NOT SO! I have written to support to report bugs and they not only reply quickly -- they actually fix the problem within days!

Great libraries of music and stock footage, too. The people behind it are always working to improve it and build their product and community.

It has some limitations, particularly in terms of text formatting. If you (or your clients) want your videos to look a certain way, you may be frustrated by it. So this was one of the easiest programs to learn from the very beginning. Created a free account (which is amazing to have that option this day in age). Added a few photos from a project, tossed in some text and it basically built itself! A few changes here and there and clicked finish. It is now rendering! While I was writing this review, the video finished and it is amazing! 49 seconds long and I can load it directly to Facebook. Thanks Lumen5!!!!

Couldn't figure how to add text after the initial text upload. Finally figured out that you can add text right onto a new photo that you drop in. Outside of that, first impression is that this is a program that I might actually use on a regular bases for our small business.

You can create a video with uploading a few pictures together. You can add music as well. A very easy and quick program to use compared to other tools.

I did not like it when the ability to create the pŕopria color palette for branding was only made for premium users. But its alright! I know that you are evolving every day! This matters!

Lumen5 are really good at listening to what their audience wants and I know they will get there as they're relatively still very young. At present moment my main issue is the length of time it takes to render a video after creation. I also wished that the option to create a video from scratch didn't have a load of content from Lumen5, it makes it a little confusing. Would be nice from the start from scratch feature did not to have any text in it so I could add it myself.
