Incredible interface with reliable data. Mixpanel helps me provide value for the company, even if I'm not a data analyst! I love the ease of creating cohorts. I can go anywhere with the available options, which means I can analyse and segment in a comprehensive way, enabling me to add a lot of value to my company and my peers!
I would love to see more AI and ML features to support my analysis. Also, a learning approach would be fantastic to have, as I'm not a data analyst, even though I'm able to use it in a relevant way
I use Mixpanel to create specific cohorts so I can send messages to the app's user when it matters the most with content that is relevant to them. It helps me to understand the context deeply.
Very easy to understand tool. Allows anyone to create reports, dashboard and insights within minutes! No need for prior analytics experience.
Uploads from CSV files for creating cohorts is not currently supported, which makes some cohort creation cumbersome.
Understanding overall business performance and in product user behaviour.
Mixpanel is flexible and well designed. We can view granular data and view in on many different charts.
It can be a little overwhelming at first and hard to navigate around to dashboards others have created.
It solves our need to see detailed product analytics. It's how our team can understand conversion rates across our various funnels.
The best part is the flexibility of integration. We are able to modify data attribution etc. in the software UI itself, without updating our code and publishing new releases. Previously generated data remains fully compatible with the new structure. This literally saved us a few times already. Apart from that, Mixpanel is full of is very dev friendly and a pleasure to work with.
We are fully satisfied with Mixpanel software. It does a great job for our product.
Mixpanel is enabling our analytics and marketing teams with all the necessary data and great insights. I believe such a tool is a must for any serious software product. And as a dev I deeply appreciate the time and care they put into their SDK, docs and Dashboard.
Mixpanel is a potent tool that, when used to its potential, could revolutionise your organisation's mindset. I love how I can slice data and create dashboards broken down with any custom property. I also like the fact that tracking can be done down to the nearest millisecond. It's extremely responsive and if you want scheduled reports, that is sorted to with the Email Digest feature.
Filters should be able to accept a larger array length
Funnel drops in specific user journeys are easily identifiable. I can visualise which entry point works better by breaking down conversions from the source. Clear visibility on a cohorts session story Page load times contrasted with impression/clicks ratios is a better indicator on what works on a page
The simplicity of Mixpanel to understand the user behaviour and insights from the event data is just fantastic. The power of creating multiple dashboards and constantly looking at all the funnels are great as well. We have got much better with data in the last 6 months as a team. It's like a go-to tool for our user insights.
I will not say dislike but having a feature of alert mechanism would definitely help. Some kind of Slack alerts or Emails when my funnel conversion drops by more than 5%.
Making my team more data-driven is one of the first priorities. I've asked my team to set up Mixpanel and now we always look for user insights, funnel conversion and entire behaviour before taking any product decision.
Just how easy it is to create graphs and Dashboards to portray data to other users in my business. The granularity is also incredibly valuable when investigating issues with users and being able to view each event with 30 different data fields per event to help see what's going on.
There are very few things I dislike about MixPanel. The only downside for me in my business is that we have separate platforms on separate projects, so it's tough to compare two platforms in Mix Panel itself.
I can efficiently show data in an easy-to-understand way to others in my business. The ability to track every event that is happening across all of my platforms and use that data in hundreds of ways
It's incredibly simple to use, especially for folks that are new to analytics tools altogether. The fact that I could build a funnel or map out our users' flows within seconds was deeply satisfying. The powerful filters and ability to integrate with any modern data stack are also particularly helpful. It's usually difficult to display data without confusing viewers however, Mixpanel's beautiful UI and scalable visuals make it easy to instantly gather insights and make data-informed decisions. Mixpanel's team was incredibly supportive during the implementation phase and organised several training sessions for our team, which set us up for success.
The site navigation could be better. Separately, there's a lot of upfront work that will be required by your engineers and data team to make Mixpanel work for your organisation.
As a product manager, Mixpanel helps me track real-time in-product interactions that are event-based so that our team is able to understand user behaviour and deeper-level interactions to inform our product decisions.
I have had an incredible experience with MixPanel this far. It provides an enriching and most detailed view of our user journeys and their behavior. I have used Google Analytics and other analytical tools but there's no match to the detail-oriented approach you could have with MixPanel. With event-based tracking, it helps us uncover the usage of various events and how this usage behavior differs between a power user and a normal user. It lets us assess retention and user stickiness by analyzing how often and many users come back over time.
We can not master use cases of MixPanel with minimal learning as it requires dedicated efforts and a sharp learning curve to become familiar with the features and navigation process. It would be super helpful if you could provide detailed documentation on how the features distinguish from each other.
MixPanel not only helps us correctly attribute conversions to their source but also lets us run a qualitative analysis between the acquisition sources and the conversion rates of these users across funnels. It allows us to bucket users based on custom properties to create business-specific groupings like session frequency greater than/less than or equal to a certain number. Using the existing custom properties, we can use formulas and do operations like multiplication/addition/division etc to compare unique user behaviors and gauge a user's journey from onboarding.
Ways to visualize the data, user cohorts, and super customizable dashboards.
The grouping feature needs a bit of rework, the product it seems was designed more for individual user-based tracking.
Keeping track of feature adoption. Discovering insights & patterns of product usage.
