The filters provided on Mixpanel help in the easy discovery of data. Mixpanel helps in checking day to day user-level data which eases our analysis and performance tracking of our campaigns
Sometimes technical errors disrupt the day to day analysis
Mixpanel helps in tracking converted users that have taken a specific action due to our retargeting campaigns
I have always loved the very minute detail we can find about our audience base with Mixpanel and knowing all attributes and behaviour of our users. It helps us know the last location of a user device and the devices used, which aids in better user segmentation for sending notifications. Marketing campaign analytics and campaign optimisation based on this has helped us smoothen our execution process.
MixPanel is an expensive tool and while it helps us in fetching user profiles with all relevant details, its support team is slow and we have to literally find everything on our own if we hit any bottlenecks while using the tool.
Mixpanel is highly relevant to us as it helps us in understanding our user base better. We can create custom dashboards for different teams' use cases and share them via a link while presentations, this helps the team to focus more on user demands and realise why our user's engagement is better or worse with different features. Apart from showing us detailed user behaviour, it also provides us with the funnel performance of users acquired from different sources and their conversion rates at various levels. With this information, we can do a perfect comparison and allocate our budgets more efficiently.
I love how easy mixpanel is to send events to mixpanel with just a couple lines of code from the backend or frontend. I love how easy it is to generate reports and get real insights super quickly.
There's a bit of a learning curve but mixpanel makes this as easy as possible.
Mixpanel helps me understand everything about my users and how they use our app.
I find the platform very user-friendly for how much it can do. It's really easy to share quick links to reports with other team members, and then they can work on from what you have, that's really handy. Dashboards are easy to create and I have one or two I check weekly to keep an eye on key metrics and indicators. We used the free plan to get familiar with the platform and set up basic things we needed. This gave us confidence in that we were choosing the right platform when we moved to paid.
Our developers have twice tried to meet with the support team to resolve a technical issue and the Mixpanel team were a no show both times. Still waiting to sort our group calls if you see this and want to reach out!
It's brought our data into a very user-friendly platform, so multiple departments are able to easily and quickly check how things are performing that relate to them.
Mixpanel is the easiest analytics tool I've worked with. I feel like I can always translate my thoughts to the right query that will lead to the most relevant chart.
When it comes to merging events and properties, the UI and functionality could use an update.
It is not about problem-solving for me, it is about turning assumptions to conclusions. Taking the right course of action thanks to solid facts
The best features for my use are the personal customization options.
The interface is a little boring but this a really minor point.
I'm solving the problem of receiving real-time data without having to go through our data dpartment.
The funnels feature and the dashboard features as well
Maybe it would be cool to have some resources on how to use filters
Understanding our users
How easy it is to build dashboards and reports. It's extremely flexible and very fast - so it shows me the results I'm looking for without having to wait for it to load.
This is minor - but Mixpanel doesn't do a good job of telling me why a report has no results. As a non-technical user, it's hard for me to tell which metrics can be cross-referenced and which ones can't. This is likely a problem with how we ingest data, but at the same time, it might be helpful to add some reasons why results could not be found.
I am able to quickly find insights without having to ask for a manual data export from product or engineering. It is feeding my natural curiosity and helping me uncover important business insights without relying on other teams.
Easy to use and to share with co-workers
A bit hard to implement for a non-developer
Tracking all in-app activities
Support is great, someone is always there to help you
Support sometimes come back with different answers for same question that can beconfusing.
Segmenting via mobile and web have been great.
The user frienldy dashboard and the detailed information sent each day.
Creating reports can be tedious. Would be nice to have easier capabilites to create reports
We are fully understanding the analytics from our clients. It allows us to focus our efforts better
Products analysis, customers analysis and customer journey , retention, and flow all are the very usefull to track each and every points
The nested format, if added more graphs and customisation option for graphs it will be advantage to summarise reports and dashboard in deep.
Conversion rate, customers retention and what customers like, it's help to analyse each and every events
I like Mixpanel's user interface, which helps to find any cases quickly. I really appreciate the search filters that help to build difficult and complex searching requests.
I don't believe that Mixpanel has some features that I really dislike. Sometimes I'm confused by search results but I'm sure it's incorrect setting up of events and properties on our side.
Mixpanel helps me to understand what exactly the user did before the issue appearing and it helps to reproduce this issue and solve the problem. It helps to sort all accounts and find suitable users quickly
It's very intuitive and anyone can understand how to use it without much guidance from the docs. It's a really easy tool.
With a lot of data it does get complicated to understand what's going on (a lot of lines in the graph) and I believe they should simplify it.
Trying to understand the usesage of a feature we released, conversion rate, impact of new features on conversion of old features, etc
Mixpanel is truly easy to use for non-analysts (like myself). I'm able to get a lot of insight into how people are using our app on different OS's and different devices. It's really easy to interpret the data. Mixpanel has excellent support. The team responds quickly and is super helpful.
Not a dislike. Just something I wish I had. I wish there was an easier way to export data tiles to Google Slides. At the moment, I export CSV files and open them in Google Sheets. Then I re-draw the graphs in Google Slides using the Google Sheet as the source.
The biggest benefit of Mixpanel is that it shows us exactly which features are not being used in our app at the moment. It also helps us to gain a lot of insight into which parts of the app deserve more attention: be it features that are really well-used, or things that are only somewhat successful. Our stakeholders also appreciate being kept up-to-date on the latest movements in our app.
It's very easy to use. I like the ease of making a dashboard and very easy to use to stakeholders.
Not super clear how to refresh data. I didn't know the premade dashboards were premade
finding customer insights.
Easy to use even for non-technical PMs. Has really helped me understand where we have breakdowns in our product. Also amazing that it's free up to a certain level of usage.
There aren't downsides for my team currently.
We help connect students with peer mentors in a university setting. Mixpanel helps us find out where we could be more effectively engaging our users.
The self-explanatory UI and highly intuitive reports and dashboards. The availability of elaborate FAQs and explanations with examples.
The occasional description-less errors. Sometimes it is helpless to debug them.
Solving a real-time website tracking use case. Mixpanel makes it easy to connect with the website and it also makes it convenient to store the data tracked and use the same data for analytics purposes.
I love that with Mixpanel most user-related questions are just a few clicks away. Plus it allows diving deeper. Their documentation is also super clean and covers everything you need to know.
I am not a great fan of JQL to write queries for deeper insights. I'd either wish for a more intuitive and better documented (!) way of writing aggregations and queries, or more flexibility in terms of languages to use.
Problems we solved: lack of transparency, making decisions based on gut feeling Benefits: greater speed, making better decisions, helping product, business, marketing
Mixpanel is super easy to implement and makes tracking events and user journeys super seamless!
The only downside for me is the access level control on the free package
I use Mixpanel to monitor and measure our Growth Strategy, and it provides useful insights that facilitate the best product decisions.
