Nothing bad I can say I dislike about MIxpanel. Perhaps something to be improved is allowing reports to be grouped in Folders. We end up with so many after awhile it's hard to keep track of

Simplistic and easy-to-navigate tool, the best part is saving reports and creating funnels and segmentation. Mixpanel is also easy to setup on the website. I haven't tried the AB test feature but will sure use that in future scenarios as well if required.

Mixpanel is very intuitive in its way of showing you how to build a report from scratch. Mixpanel is a powerfull BI tool, and also looking good from a esthetical point of view.
There ins't really much I dislike in Mixpannel to be honest, maybe bcause I did not build many reports myself and I'm more a huge consumer of reports built from others. The only thing that comes to my mind is the way of saying a report which needs to be duplicated otheriwse you do modify the "public one".
Mixpanel gathers data which are super helpful when it comes to tak the right decisions, at different levels: why to prioritize a feature more than another, or why to send this email to a customer, or at whihc point we stand from a usage point of you, etc.
The tool was really easy to implement, everyone in the company can do his own boards and reports. In a few seconds I can check how my users use my product. The 4 types of report are easy to understand even if I would say that the retention report is a bit harder to understand than the others.
Last time I checked the documentation, I can't remember why, but the documentation was not up to date, so it was not as usefull as it could have been. We are a B2C mobile application, we have our mobile application and a website. Both are tracked via Segment and Mixpanel. I could use to have both product tracking in the same Mixpanel workspace.

Mixpanel has a very extensive documentation and it's easy to learn about the tool and guide the software team, even with little technical background. The usage of the tool is also quite intuitive, making it easy to analyze the data and build dashboards and insightful reports. Retention analysis and conversion funnels are also few clicks away.
Not a problem from Mixpanel, but it does require your own product's knowledge to be able to set it up correctly, as well as understanding when each event should be registered. Mixpanel guide has all the information necessary on that, but applying this might be tricky depending on the software.

It's super flexible. We tried other metric-tracking apps for a long time but eventually ran into issues making them fit our specific needs. Mixpanel just worked!
Because of the flexibility, you do have a spend a bit more time thinking about how to build your reports and dashboards and making sure they work. I'd like more preconfigured dashboards read to go that can be tweaked.
It's helping us keep track of our unit metrics over time. Things like MRR, ARPU, Churn, Conversion rate, and conversion funnels.
