The ability to understand, see and analyze all data across our platform.
The non-easy set up for beginners, for a new employee, it's pretty tricky to understand basics, it takes a lot of time to get into it, but once you do, it's eye-opening to see all the data.
Understand conversion, funnels, percentages of users that stop at some point in the purchasing process. See how users signed up, every action they take in the platform so we can work on improving our product.
Usability, funnels feature, easy dashboards
Not as easy to see stats across different apps. Switching across apps if org has multiple ones is not intuitive.
Understand customer conversion and engagement patterns, understand onboarding experience.
The ability to query datasets in seconds
I've found that events don't fire accurately resulting in missed data
I personally use Mixpanel for performance marketing attribution , A/B testing and funnels.
I love the ease of analysis whenever we look into new and existing features. I'm able to gain excellent insights and make judgements on product usage based on data that is available.
Implementing tracking can be difficult and has a large learning curve, especially for those who aren't as technical.
Whether a feature is being used. Having data to back up product decisions is very valuable
It is very easy to install in the application and the data is super rich for analyzing the software's usage behavior. I love it.
I would like to be able to access the full history of interactions instead of just the last 100.
Understand user behavior by browsing my software. The benefits are numerous. It's important to understand what features the users are using or not I would say is the main thing for me.
All the ways to slice and dice data - !!
Can't put some reports on your dashboard
How our users interact with search. How an A/B experiment is going.
It's built for mobile apps first, not just as an afterthought. It has powerful customization capabilities, and you can create funnels and every type of report you can imagine. Mixpanel makes gleaning insight from your data easy, as opposed to a black box with unclear results.
It's definitely on the more expensive side. There are free analytics solutions out there (such as Google's Firebase, Facebook's Analytics), but I've tried them all, and Mixpanel is worth the money. Mixpanel also offered some incentives for early-stage startups to try out the platform, making it easier to explore the benefits.
We are using Mixpanel to track engagement within our mobile app. We are also using it to track user behavior within our web surfaces as well. For the first time, I feel that we are finally empowered to use our data to gain insights and explore user behavior. Even with the same exact data being logged to other analytics platforms, we were unable to get as many insights. We also hope to try out Mixpanel's messaging features soon, but have not gotten a chance to try them out yet.
I like that I can monitor user fannels that helps me to understand if the flow is usable and intuitive. In addition, I like that I can use the breakdowns to find where things work and where they don't
I find the process of debugging to be complicated. When I build a fannel, I always go to the live feed and look at the actions and properties to better focus my reports and breakdowns
As a product manager, I need to make decisions on what to build next. In addition, I need to validate that what I build produces the expected outcomes. I use Mixpanel to define KPIs in which I monitor to validate my outcomes
I love how easy it is to get data from multiple sources into Mixpanel. Between its integrations and built-in tools, it's a great way to bring together web, app, and external data sources and draw out actionable insights.
Mixpanel's identity reconciliation is powerful, but it could be better. For example, if Mixpanel's unique IDs were easier to get *out* of Mixpanel, it would be much easier to associate them with events from new data sources.
Our company has saved untold hours and dollars with Mixpanel's reporting features. On the Marketing team specifically, the platform gives us up-to-the-minute reporting on A/B tests and experiments, giving us the details we need to grow.
I liked Live View and how flexible Mixpanel is to customize the user paths that we want to study and get to know about a users.
1. User Flow used to automatically show what users went after selecting an event, but that feature now is gone and became pretty similar to Funnels, which can be a bit confusing sometimes. 2. The help documents may not always be up to date with the latest Mixpanel updates. Sometimes when googling for understanding better about Mixpanel, I can notice the screenshots and video guidaince are not up to date and may cause slight confusion to me.
Aside from getting to know how engaged our users are within our product, we also try to get to know where our users are coming from. UTM tag property has been super helpful to help us identify that.
East to use after implemented. With the platform I can understand my users behavior quickly.
Working with many funnels, it is hard to config and usulaly it is easy to create scenarios with fake data.
Understand the behaviour of our uses. Google analytics doesnt record the scenarios or get logs
I appreciate the flexibility of getting the report you need. You can create filters exactly where you need them, select the right events, create custom calculations on the fly, and see the best data to get your questions answers. I truly believe any online subscription-based business needs to be using Mixpanel.
I am really sad that Mixpanel is discontinuing the ability to communicate with customers via its platform. Not only that but there aren't many simple integrations available with the email marketing platforms I use (Campaign Monitor, and Intercom) that allow me to use Mixpanel data to send communications to the right customers at the right time.
I am able to see high level trends amongst our users and our different cohorts, and understand what's working for our business and where there are some holes. I find that it clearly shows you what's going on with your user base so that you can take the right actions. Specifically it made me understand what customers are upgrading their subscription for by being able to see what most of them do after upgrading. This helps me choose the right features to focus on in our marketing communications.
Easy to set up, excellent UX, and highly customizable. It covers everything I can think of.
I honestly can't think of anything. Continue to improve cohorts and retention.
I have x-ray vision into my company and how it's performing. Specifically, all the leading indicators to revenue.
Intuitive and easy UI, comprehensive data and product insights, integration with a vast range of mobile tools
Nothing, the tool is awesome! We consistently get good feedback on part of our clients and love to use it on their behalf
We use it on part of our clients to identify key product optimizations to ensure the success of our app growth strategies. The pricing is great is definitely value for your buck.
Mixpanel is so easy to use and really helps to gain an in depth understanding of user behaviour and retention. The tool scales really easy alongside your business, meaning it supports the growth of your business really well.
There is nothing that I dislike about Mixpanel.
Mixpanel provides in detail analyses of the full user journey in-app, meaning that we get a full picture of the user behaviour and can understand high engagement and drop off points really clearly. We use Mixpanel data to drive our strategies for growth and ensure sustainable, long-term growth.
