Mixpanel is robust mentioning that it offers many tools for reporting so that you can view the data in different ways and create different documents thanks to this software, I love this system as it has a large ton of user participation data and that its complete history can be seen with the mobile application since it is determinedly useful in many relevant aspects, underlining that they are very easy to configure and are well structured.
In terms of payment a lower budget than you are currently in would be an incredible upgrade, just as it would be great to have additional functions according to user tracking in a default system, including that their support service is weak, in other conditions the massive different properties can be disastrous and makes it difficult to know if you are using the correct attributes to get a report to run.
We use Mixpanel for different favorable aspects which it offers us, one of our uses with this software is to understand our user metrics, this system stores and displays customer participation and event data, which allows us to visualize the effectiveness of this service on our platform, and otherwise it is used to generate trends of our most daily information already stored, also to track the behavior of loyal and powerful buyers of the company in general.
After testing Mixpanel on our mobile devices, we conclude that it is used for the execution of sales funnels and their analysis, as well as cohorts and surveys. Regarding notifications, these can be fully customized to be shown after the completion of some analysis or some segmentation of clients or campaigns.
Mixpanel lacks many functions that from our point of view are essential to work, such as data tracking within the social media area.
The statistical modeling function is fabulously versatile, allowing us to create all kinds of models without any difficulty. Mixpanel has the advantage that it allows us to get market data (generally from customers or products) as accurate as possible, so regardless of the type of business we decide to carry out, we will always maintain a database strong enough to that working with lists is something profitable. Something useful about Mixpanel is also being able to identify, based on different patterns, the most important figures within each information collection process that we execute.
Mixpanel is a reliable source for email and automatic notifications, all in one place. It is an amazing tool that has ease of implementation and documentation. It is very profitable. It helps to collect important data points and access them. It is very easy to understand, easy to use and well designed. It has an incredible ability to send messages and emails without any limitation and its platform is very secure. The support is very fast to answer and solve any problem.
At first it was a bit difficult to understand and manage, once you get used to the tool and the documentation, you will be quite surprised at the enormous possibilities it has.
Mixpanel helps to better analyze how our users interact with our service, it is essential to constantly improve and establish which content is the most appropriate among other things that are relevant to the business, is an analysis tool and is useful for monitoring. With Mixpanel it has been possible to have a better control of the company's website, since we can see the exact number of clicks, visitors and comments. It gives us a lot of information about the attitude and behavior of our clients, in turn it is easy to configure.
Reliable and accurate customer behavior analytics for mobile and web applications. Also, MixPanel helps to measure the impact on the campaigns.
More API integrations. Also, the Data audit under the data management section. The cohort analysis to be improved.
The funnel analysis
Its user interface is well designed.Mixpanel has a good collection of detailed data and I can see it from several angles. I like much with why i can have efficient monitoring of users.
I would like the reports to be more visual and have more graphics. Its API is not so scalable. Keep its price and not make it more expensive when the user limit is reached.
Ideal for our company because Mixpanel allows us to see everything that happens on our website. We do not need to require our workers to require great skills because it is easy to operate. It allows us to know the channels, locations and devices where they connect to visit the users.
Mixpanel is an amazing tool having ease of implementation and documentation. It is very cost-effective. It helps collect important data points and access them. It is very easy to understand, user-friendly and well-designed. It has an inbuilt messaging function which is a plus point. It is flexible in its action and easy to incorporate into the application. It offers access to visualize the data of user events without the involvement of IT.
Sometimes the data is erroneous and is challenging to investigate it properly. Documentation of Mixpanel is supportive but sometimes misapprehension of the results also occurs. If the data size is very large then the system becomes slow. Customer support is not accurate and API is not very accessible. Its paid versions are quite costly when compared to the related analytical tools in the market. You cannot have the same event for both the web and the mobile apps, you have to generate and track them independently.
It is a tool that scales your app based on the events. Many companies use Mixpanel to track a series of events generates sales funnel and commercial trends. It offers a more comprehensive and targeted service as compared to many other analytics services. Data transferred by Mixpanel has a lot of possibilities. It helps in collecting and improving the products on the basis of the user’s actions.
I like that can create any type of funnel and follow it, and also see the performance breakdown of the funnel by different groups, for example, by age or by country. It's great that this program works in almost real time. In addition, it is excellent for tracking any type of event in your application or website, as well as for sending user properties. Extremely flexible, since you can send custom attributes and messages, which can then be used to divide and cut the data as you wish.
I do not like that it is limited to the functionality provided by a third-party library, even though the functional list is very good; You probably need to import the data and create your own visualizations. Something that I find very overwhelming are the duplicate data. Not all, but if some of the events that are transmitted to Mixpanel are stored several times, causing inflated numbers. And as a contribution you should definitely add a page of the main panel to organize the saved reports, it would help a lot.
At Intechnic we use it to evaluate the adoption of product features and to understand user flows. In addition it is necessary to see the behavior of users in different web pages. Additionally, we manipulate the platform to obtain automated reports and use them for presentations and strategy planning.
Registering was too easy and the free level is very generous. The integration of segments worked perfectly for us. Mixpanel is the best application to configure analytics for SaaS applications. It has an incredible ability to send messages and emails without any limitation. It has a very secure platform to maintain data security. It also has many variables available to store and track.
You will need a software developer to implement Mixpanel in your application or website since it is not something that you can easily configure. It is so sophisticated and advanced that it can be difficult to know where or how to start. I wish it were easier to implement your own data in the user profiles and events there. You can not collaborate within teams either. The user experience of email should be reinvented and made much more intuitive to match the incredible user experience of the entire application.
Mixpanel is a clean and accurate analysis tool that our team has used. Mixpanel gives you the data you need in a digestible format and allows you to make quick decisions. It helped us to manage momentum and DEM, which allows us to perform a / b tests and improve the performance of our instruments. By being on the Marketing team, I appreciate the reports we receive, they really provide a deeper understanding of what our customers really do with our product. Although it is an easy tool and it helped us a lot, we could not continue using it since it stopped giving us the results we wanted and it lowered our business quality.
Extremely flexible. Once you track the necessary events and attributes that you want, the platform is super robust and flexible to let you create reports and funnels to really understand how your users are using the platform. It's become a staple in our monthly product summaries.
A lot of the premium features are paid and it gets expensive quick. It's not bad, just something to consider.
We are able to identify what parts of the product are being used, what's not being used, and where we might want to put more of our efforts towards.
Easy navigation and intuitive interface.
Not much, it's a great program. One small complaint is that I would like live data to refresh in real time rather than what seems like 20-30 minute blocks.
Able to fully track activity and trends within our customer payment portal. Gives us insight into our metrics, giving us data we can then action on.
Interface is overall very easy to use and get started with. It does a very good job of supporting some advanced analysis without making the interface overly complex. Cohort analysis is very good. Very easy to integrate with.
Ability to trigger messages is useful for some use cases but it is somewhat limited. This is not a big problem if it is primarily used for analysis, which is the key strength. Anomaly detection looks promising but it is still very limited. It would be great to have some configurability around this and in particular it would be extremely useful to generate alerts to external systems. It is sometimes difficult to navigate and find things. User login roles and permissions were very limited until very recently.
Primarily used for mobile app analytics and funnel optimization. It has been a great tool to understand user behavior for new features and to monitor when behaviors deviate from expected patterns.
funnel reports, live view, and access to support team via chat
for the most part, support is able to assist with questions. Sometimes however I wish there was more attention put on resolving specific issues and better follow-up. recently we have faced an issue where it looks like people profiles are either not being created or are disappearing. We have not had luck with this issue and I've inquired a few times for a follow-up or escalation. Recently my CTO reached out with a question and simply received a 'sorry we couldn't help'. Would love to know what else can be done to help in this case. Sometimes we get null datasets for customers and this is frustrating.
we are understanding where drop-off occur, and able to prioritize where we need to invest resources to solve particular stages of friction in our funnel. This has helped us to devise experiments and measure the net effects and improve conversion rates across our onboarding process.
Amount to tools available to study and monitor user behavior.
Bit long learning curve. It will be good if the interface is more user froiendly,
We are trying to identify issues users have when they use our product. Also we monitor popular features.
Mixpanel is very simple to use and gets me the data I want quickly and in a fairly easy to analyze format. This specific allows me to perform information for meetings and also to determine ROI on various marketing activities. Also the built in functionality is very helpful.
Customer service could be a little better. It will be great in order to have a live conversation or phone number instead you need to send good email and wait for reply. However, responses are often quite quick. I'd also really like to be able to get some statistics a lot more easily - recently was trying to notice the most common device accessing our app that was hard. Furthermore spending some time of least weighty use on a day time| or week was difficult and that might be due to the way we report our events, but this seems like that should become easier to find.
Tracking user usage of features. We use MixPanel data to determine what needs to me updated, what buttons should be moved, etc...
I always know my numbers - first thing in the morning on the mobile app - throughout the day on my desktop - no customer activity or behaviour goes unnoticed
Setting timeline annotations on my reports is not easy
Knowing exactly what my trialists and customers are up to in the product and being able to act accordingly
Handling a large amount of data with ease, keeping track with historical usage data. Funnels of module usage have been very useful for free trial conversion of clients and the subsequent changes in our landing pages and UI. The UI is clean and modern.
The product has a steep learning curve which makes it a bit daunting to use at first. We have especially run into some problems using JQL due to the lack of documentation and examples. The predict module is very useful but requires precision and the correct data set up to provide accurate predictions.
Mixpanel is used by the customer success and customer support teams as well as the upper management of our SAAS company. The customer success team is utilizing to track the usage and engagement of the existing clients mainly using the Engagement part of the platform; specifically, they are making use of the Insight, segmentation and Retention features . The customer support team is mainly using the product to retrieve specific actions performed by users, in order to replicate bugs or pinpoint the root cause of issues, that is the People portion of the platform. Upper management is using to drive engagement of the product and make decisions on how to evolve it based on the current usage. We have mainly seen improvements in the design of our product's landing pages and the features available in Free trials, through the use of Funnels.
Two main things 1. It can grow with you. They're free up to 1000 profiles and after that then you're on your way and you can pay 2. The ability to embed analytics easily in any page with little to no code required.
I think the Ui/Ux is still a little clunky. Trying to navigate around is difficult. The settings menu for teams etc. also isn't that great.
The ability to know where users are i our app, the story they follow and the devices they're using.
The user interface is very clean and intuitive. It's easy to learn and understand. I've almost always been able to gather the data I need and bookmarks make it possible to easily review our most important metrics. I was also surprised that there were Xamarin bindings that made Xamarin integration possible as I wasn't sure that we'd be able to find a good analytics software that integrated with our Xamarin app.
It can get expensive very quickly as your user base increases. We pay $150/month, which for a startup of our size is a little pricey. It's pricey because many of our users are free, rather than paid users. If we were just tracking paid users it would be much more manageable
Identifying onboarding friction points is a big one. Mixpanel allows us to see where users are dropping off so that we can come up with better solutions for onboarding users. It also allows us to measure user engagement to mitigate churn, which is probably the most important role that mixpanel serves.
Mixpanel is very useful because it allows to have real time insights about our customers, it is very easy to send push notification with it and for our IT team to install our events on the tool. Moreover the customer service is very efficient, they always answered rapidly to any of my doubts and the helped me to overcome every issue with their platform.
It is not a very user-friendly platform to use, it needs some times before I learnt to use it well. There are still some things which are very difficult for me, as using JQL to write queries (I'm a marketer, not an engineer). There are some properties we cannot use as we would like to, for example the birthday property, we cannot select a day on the calendar, moreover the insights we receive are not as precise as they are on our own platform.
We managed to schedule push notification, while before we couldn't do that, moreover we managed to have some real time insights about our customer and to better segment them.
Mixpanel is great at taking a complex solution and making it simple. The amount of data Mixpanel can store is incredible.
The downside: Mixpanel is only accurate if you set it up accurately. We've had a few users who know no JS struggle with events.
Mixpanel has served as a database overlay -- helps solve the gap for those that don't use SQl.
