Nintex workflow is a tremendous timesaver. The graphical interface and "pre coded" toolset has allowed us to take advantage of process improvement and process quality improvement opportunities that would have been impossible without it.
WE have not found anything that has caused us to question our decision.
We are trying to control the quality of data used in certain governance based processes within our portfolio management environment. We want to be able to reuse the data and be assured that all required data is provided in each step of the process.
Nintex WF allows us to meet business requests when SharePoint can't by itself. WF empowers use to build more and do more, especially when paired with Nintex Forms.
Can't print from Nintex Forms without Nintex Enterprise, a $60k upgrade just to print, can't use any of the other features since we only have SharePoint Standard.
Nintex Workflow allows us to sync data from one list to another to create top level dashboard that shows a summary of data from all projects for example. We also build a lot of approval workflows for various needs.
The connection manager and action set are the two major features I liked the best. Now the reuse of workflows make them more efficient and less cost. We reused many workflows using this. Calling sub workflows is also very easy. Also use of workflow forms association to tasks is the game changer.
I disliked the feature of Large workflow rendering issue. Once the workflow has hundreds of actions the rendering is a big issue.
We solved many manual complex business processes into a easy workflow based system. We eliminated many existing paper based business process to automated web based apps. Made the people accountable and task assignment app made life easy.
Nintex provide a lot of functionalities that allow to a anyone users automate their process, no matter if you are an advanced user or common user, the interface is very intuitive and actions can be set for your needs. I had automate around sixty process without any advanced experience using workflow automation platforms. Also provide Nintex Live, a good way to capture information for users out of the company.
At first I was needing more actions to handle and generate documents, however this functionalty was release for all platforms and now I'm very happy using this functionalty in my process.
Now we are capable to measure our process, before that, this measure was very hard to complete because we didn't have data to make it, now with we have available a lot of process data and we are makings insights with this data.
I enjoy the simplicity and layered approach. It means people can follow the process at a high level. If they need to drill down for more information, they can.
Nothing stands out as being there not to like. There are a few minor issues. When the option to expand the process within a process, using the small arrow at the bottom right of sub-processes, it will occasionally render incorrectly and slightly change the process mapping.
We are mapping our core processes using Promapp. The benefits are being incrementally realised. The simplicity of linking process means that staff can seamlessly pass from one process to another. This also drives discuss between Process Stewards and Experts when interfaces need strengthening. The platform for ranking and feedback for processes is driving improvements. Process feedback and performance ranking is on display which drives improvements.
Promapp is easy to use , it has great sharing capability and is such a great ''GOTO'' for new staff and for keeping all procedures in line within the company.
Haven't come across anything I don't like as yet
Shortening processes that were otherwise time consuming. Having consistency in roles throughout the Company. Identifying procedure issues within roles
I love the ease of use for this application as well as the diversity it offers.
I have nit used this long enough to dislike anything at this time. So far I love it.
Promapp is new to our business and will be used highly for processes currently making it easy for our employees to do their job.
I like the ability to easily integrate multiple line of business systems and quickly create applications to manages business processes. Rapid development and reuse of existing objects make building applications much easier with minimum use for code. SmartObjects, SmartForms and the workflow engine make K2 a very powerful enterprise development platform.
I used to struggle a bit with the workflow development environment however this has recently replaced in K2 Five with a much more intuitive and user friendly engine.
Mainly administrative processes such as financial approvals, file management, and booking applications.
Easy to use, easy to understand. K2 hides all programming for user that do not know how to program but still let you connect to your own system. the support team is excellent and always find a way to solve your problem
There is some correction needed to be done in the class that confuse some of the users.
K2 integrates perfectly with the new WMS we have. furthermore it helps to track the status of any Production Order throughout all the Production step (including testing and packaging).
The UI, look and feel is great with they way everything is so clear and simple. Its really quick to create forms and processes from start to finish. Like the integration aspect also.
No search function withing the rules there is however in the states but not within the rules itself, but rectified with K2 Five. Package and deployment tool dependencies has constant conflicts that takes ages to compare. (Apparently Fixed in K2 Five)
