One feature that stands out is the remote recording capability. The ease of use and reliability of Riverside.fm have made my podcasting process seamless and efficient. Furthermore, the customer support team at Riverside has been outstanding. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist whenever I have any questions or concerns. Makes it easy to create content with my clients
The quality, by far! As a podcaster, audio quality is a major piece and Riverside definitely delivers here. I've tested other platforms that do this same thing, but nothing matches the kind of Audio (and video) quality for an 'over-the-internet' type of setup. It's also amazing to see Riverside continuing to push the envelop and constantly be updated and adding new features that make my job as a creator SO MUCH EASIER!
The editing side of Riverside isn't perfect and can be a little cumbersome at times. That said, they have been steady implementing updates making it easier and easier to record AND edit all in one platform.
Quality is the biggest problem Riverside solves. I know many people use Zoom for this type of thing, but the quality doesn't even pale in comparison to what you get from Riverside. Their new Magic Clips feature is also a huge time-saver when it comes to pulling short-form content from the long-form videos. I can't wait to see how this new feature continues to evolve.
Riverside podcasting app is easy to use for beginners and even more valuable is the resources and tutorials (blog posts, youtube channel, etc.) helping new podcasters get up and running.
Nothing to dislike. The technology, resources, and support are all super helpful. Only thing that could be helpful is having additional features or recommendations for beginners. Perhaps a glossary or wiki. But again, I think all of the info is available on the site and/or YouTube channel.
Getting started with podcasting. All in one solution for scheduling, recording, and editing the podcast.
The thing I like best about Riverside is that it makes it easy for every person involved to produce good quality video. Rather than relying on the quality of the Internet stream, it does what all computers can do, and record the video to the hard drive.
Actually, there was one thing that I was going to say I didn't like, but after today, that is no longer the case. I grew up doing a lot of video editing, and Riverside's timeline did not allow me to zoom in on the timeline when I needed to make a precise, edit. Low and behold, I login today and they have added that feature. These guys keep getting better.
Creating a weekly podcast
I've hosted virtual summits in the past and we always used Zoom. This time, we used Riverside.fm and were amazed by how much the audio was improved. Overall, Riverside.fm was easy to use and reliable. I also love how it generates transcripts (saving us time and money, as we didn't have to invest in another program in order to create transcripts). Whether you have a podcast or are hosting a virtual event, I'd highly recommend trying Riverside.fm.
There was one interview where I was suddenly kicked out of the room - this only happened once (out of 21 interviews). I was able to get back in and pick up where we left off, but it was less than ideal.
Riverside.fm gave us a great way to easily record interviews. We could have recorded both audios and videos, but only used audios for this project. It was easy to record and we came away with high-quality audios. I also really appreciate how it generates transcripts that we can easily edit and use.
Riverside has made it so easy to export quality audio that is cleaned up and leveled. They also made it so easy to generate clips through AI -- It automatically creates clips and then generates great titles without any work. It makes social promotion so much easier.
I can do most of my basic editing right inside Riverside, but when it comes down to small, detailed edits, I prefer to export the file and do that somewhere else. However, I have no doubt that they will improve the editing features inside Riverside. They seem to always be imrpoving.
Riverside has made it easy to capture and clean up reliable audio. They have also made it incredibly easy to grab clips for social promotion -- Their Magic Clips feature is amazing. Lastly, I love having one universal link for my studio instead of a new link for every episode recording.
The automated captions and ability to change layouts.
The hindrance of editing mispronounced words in the transcript
It's helping provide captions from my videos which makes the user experience more enjoyable.
I'm brand new to podcasting and not tech savvy. It is super simple to use and when I've run into issues the support team responds really quick and has guided me to fix the problems
Only challenge I've had so far is that I had a browser space issue, but I was able to clean it up and subsequent podcasts have been smooth. I'm probably too new to even come up with what they could improve
I started off by only doing podcasts in person, but needed to branch out to people living far away. I get high quality audio from Riverside. Therefore I've been able to get more high profile guests
It does exactly as you'd hope it does. Imagine the simplicity of a Google Meet or Zoom call. It just works. Super easy to invite people. Editing with their AI-speech-to-text is really good - plus they've just added fine-grain editing capabilities so I will now be able to edit fully within browser. I've only been using the service for 2 weeks and it's now an indispensible tool in my podcast production process. I upgraded after one episode to the full subscription. Love the 'export to Spotify Podcaster' capability too. Seamless.
I'd love if the service offered even more capabilities for export - e.g. if it could also do a lot of the social media publication aspects. But I'm just nitpicking because you asked. I think it's fantastic.
I absolutely LOVE the local recording of audio and video - and then the sound normalisation and noise reduction magic that happens in the background when I press those options is just fantastic.
