Salesforce is a platform where the possibilities are endless and left to the imagination of the end-user. From a ticketing system, to document storage, to sales contact syncing and automatic reminders, Salesforce allows for flexibility and one's own vision in implementation.
Nothing, everything Salesforce provides is simply topnotch, their support is amazing, and they are willing to work on implementing new and fresh features if requested.
Ticketing system and document storage.
The ability to customized the format of the database to fit my organizations needs. My organization is a chimera since we are a non-profit, but located at a higher education institution. But we do not collect any data from our higher education host, yet we are not solely a stand-alone non-profit.
There is no easy way to quickly update multiple records to clean the data.
Previously, we used an access database where partners would enter in their data and it would flow to multiple areas. The quality of the data was horrendous, since there was no way to require fields or require consistency in naming (a program had to be added and then participants added with the program title matching the first entry). The database was a mess and Salesforce really saved it.
Very user friendly, easy to learn how to navigate
the search functions are not always the best
Keeping information in one place, reduces losing information via emails
I love the CRM functioned of the software. You could do everything at once and it mad eit easier for us to keep track of student records.
The only thing that I was not crazy about was the display. There are a ton of different softwares that have a much better user interface.
When I used it it helped us have full reports on students and their information. We were able to keep record of all student meetings and interactions with staff.
Accessible, cloud-based CRM for nonprofits provided free of charge.
The cost of customizing and additional users is difficult for many nonprofits to financially access.
Database management, user operability, the ability to enable customizations is not accessible in any other general CRM that I know of. It is particularly better than other product of similar intent. I especially appreciate the ability to use the app for development calls. The ability to glance at possibilities for each individual donor is unparalleled.
LEX has a more appealing layout, has customizable features
Doesn't include all features Classic has
Comprehensive CRM for our non-profit. We use it for development analysis as well as Program management
I like the ease of use with the calendar, and booking appointments. I also like the simplicity of synching throughout microsoft outlook and being able to easily book appointments from outlook right on my salesforce calendar. I LOVE how easy it is to add new clients to accounts, and love the quote-sending process for training purposes for our clients. I like how we are able to activate clients for our community website directly from their salesforce profiles as well because this is the key for our clients to learn more about the software we work with and train them on. I also love the fact that appointment confirmation status can be tracked by date/time and who (if anyone) confirmed a specific appointment on my book
I honestly really enjoy mostly every aspect to be honest, I love storing PDFs on the left hand side of my screen, I love being able to search through tickets with ease by #, client or business name, or ID #.I guess I can say one thing I dislike is the inability to search through tickets by description or keywords.
Mnaaging back to back appointments, and tracking any employees who have edited appointments. also storing internal and externally used documents for clients/employees. It has been crucial to mainstreaming our internal communiucation within our marketing and educational department. I would highly recommend salesforce to any large business who serves multiple smaller businesses, because it is very reliable, easy to use, and serves many purposes directly from the one website.
I like the ability to collaborate with my business partners using the chatter area.
Salesforce is very busy and has a lot of information and data stored in one place. It can be a confusing product and hard to get used to if you have not had training.
I think the cross collaboration with my business partners has been the main problem that I have solved by using this product. It has allowed us to keep track of clients that we have reached out to and make not of any specific conversations that we have with the clients.
The thing that I like the best is the copious information it stores, as well as it's functionalities. So many things it can do! From the basics of creating new fields or integrating FormAssembly connectors to transfer and update previously stored information. Salesforce is the best.
At first, the Classic layout is a little daunting because there's potential for tons of data to be put in multiple places and where to find it is sometimes hard, whereas Lightning is very user friendly. However as an admin, using Classic better suits my needs.
You have the power to reach anyone, as well as store their information quickly and securely. Whatever you need to connect, it's all there.
We recently started using Salesforce for our invoicing, I really enjoy having the ability to use one platform for all my agency needs.
I've noticed recently it takes a few more steps to save changes, wishing it could be simpler.
Since downloading the phone app, I have immediate access to my data information. I have been able to use my app while on the road or in places with limited access to technology.
I like the ability to see a comprehensive view of accounts including opps, cases and activities
It is cumbersome to implement custom objects
Central location for information. Ability to keep all teams alligned and refer to the same data.
It's really useful, helps keep everyone aligned. Pages load quick
If someone opens your reecord, you have to retype in all your info or it won't save
Helps the company with better reporting, organizing data, better visibility
I like all the expansion potential that can be integrated. It is excellent for sharing Reports and analyze or present Dashboards. Salesforce helps us to organize a lot of customer information, which allows us to serve in a more personalized way. We can record all the information of transactions, calls, claims. The customers have the security that they are in a serious company with an excellent technological reach.
I can not share Dashboards like in the classic version. I would like that function to be activated. The marketing part should have more facilities and better options available to create successful campaigns. When changing from classic to lightning several fields implemented with another application, have been affected. For this reason, not all users can move to this new version. We are currently working on these small issues.
For the moment, I share elegant reports by email. We have workflows with approvals, automations with tasks, approval rules with cases. By scheduling the reports, daily, weekly, monthly, we save time, sharing valuable information on time with various departments involved. Several manual reports have been eliminated and we hope that all the request ( by sales team or another department ) emails will soon decrease because we need to turn them into tasks.
When used correctly, Salesforce is a powerful tool for the sales and post sales teams.
The look and feel of Salesforce is very outdated.
Business problems I am solving is understanding market penetration. Benefits I have realized are the abilities to customize fields.
The software is really intuitive and easy to follow. I can connect with my peers in no time. Most of our work is done using this platform. File transfer, communications, and collaboration is handled by this nifty platform. If there are any changes required to be made and sent across between teams, that is easily made possible within the platform.
The design could be a little better but I have no complaints. I think the number of options should be capped within the platform but this could be a departmental preference rather than anything else. Overall, it is a good product and I can think of nothing bad to say about it.
Coordinating with colleagues over different projects relating to the business unit we work on. It is fairly easy to get updates and track how much progress has been made and so forth.
UX/UI of lightning is hands down better for me.
The main dislike I have for lightning is when looking at more than 50 contacts and you go away from that page you lose the position of where you scrolled down to.
Salesforce is the ultimate CRM. While many features go unused it is nice to know the depth of what Salesforce can do for managing and organizing your contacts/accounts/prospects.
Salesforce ensures that I am able to collect and know everything about the customer I am trying to sell to. I can import imporant data like emails, contacts, revenue, employees etc. that would usually take a sales person hours to research on the internet. It keeps me ahead of the sale with reminders, along with details on when my next steps are to close the deal.
The only thing I dislike about Saleforce is the fdact it doesnt easily sync up with my Outlook as well as I would like it to. It works well but I feel like it slows my outlook down when I do sync the two. That may be due to my internet speed or my Outlook server to be honest.
We have been able to solve the " who am I targeting?" " where is the order status at?" " did the customer sign the contract?". With the DocuSign integration I know the second the contract is signed and it is linked directly to the account for everyone to see and know it is there for processing.
Ease of use, keeps track of all my sales contacts
Search function is VERY limited. Almost have to have the exact wording for it to appear in the search results.
Ticker when things are needed to be done.
The Process Builder, dashboard builder, Salesforce Campaigns, trailhead community to learn the tool
Complex tool that requires an admin to set up and deploy the platform.
Centralized data, visibility into KPIs company wide, ability to track touchpoints with SFDC campaigns and great integration with marketing automation tools to align marketing and sales teams.
salesforce has literally melted into our team's needs and wants
Reporting, easy but one glitch can ruin everything
Being able to have transparency with my field team is priceless.
Salesforce is a great task management system
It isn't as intuitive as I'd like it to be
We use it to manage prospecting efforts and keep client data safe and updated
The user interface that good styles and interactive
not fully evolved and there is lot of work that needs to be done to make it cross platform
created customer portal communities site
Easy to use, configure and build apps. Most common apps and its features can be built by point and click. Platform also gives the power of Apex programming to give customization capability which may not be possible using point and click. Also it is mobile and API ready. Platform is amazingly fast and developer friendly.
As the platform is constantly innovating and coming up with new stuff 3 times a year, its hard to catch up on the cool stuff available and adopt.
We are using it for product development as an ISV.
Salesforce identity platform is very easy to use and secure
I dont really dislike anything however i am yet to explore third party auth providers
Integrating with variety of systems
Ease of access and customization as an admin
Sometimes it takes a little longer for users to get used to the amount of features
Connecting parts of the business
Salesforce has allowed us to streamline virtually every process in our organization!
Staff engagement challenges. Our staff is older and many are opposed to new technology.
Many
I love building custom code and designing systems. It's great to see how successful people can become using Salesforce.
I don't dislike anything. Salesforce is amazing!
You can solve just about any business need in Salesforce
Salesforce hits homerun after homerun. It is easy to view
While ROI is always there, it can get tiresome going back to say that we need to spend more money
Security is crucial. Visibility is crucial.
The best part of salesforce is not just the amazing product but their involvement with the community! They have changed how how corporate America companies operate.
I just dislike dreamforce is not more times a year.
IT really helps our clients front end teams collarborate.
Its part of the Salesforce Platform! I think that more items like this should be more on the Salesforce Platform
Everything on Salesforce is amazing! Please keep building on n the Salesforce Platform!
Identitfiying on the Salesforce Platform and helping Users maximizing Salesforce.
