The mobile app notifications is a bit buggy, sometimes it just doesnt appear

For the daily work place communication, Slack provides a one-stop solution for all possible situations one might need in a workspace.

It allows for connection among co-workers for projects as well for personal interests keeping these two separated without losing professionalism.

When misused, the creation of redundant chats causes clutter and confusion.

Team spirit is generated and projects are more easy to work on when in contact with the team members.

In my new company, we use it as a tool of communication on a daily basis, it's really easy to use, and it has so many impeded features that help a lot.

Actually nothing, after the new update the tool became way easier and organized.

Somtimes the number of channels created can cause important messages to be drowned out, but that is more of a problem due to usage of it than a product issue.

- Easy to use on a daily basis - Commands reminders and archive any post you want - Channel creation, chats and invitations are smooth to do - Calls, video sharing, voice notes are all improved and easy to use on the go - Integrations are amazing and easy to implement. we use Pendo, google, Gong, Chours and Jira. the possibilities are amazing - Plenty of customization options

- Recent UI Update is problematic. like a LOT.Mobile view is even worse with the new UI but its irrelevant here for now - Some new features are inconsistent, like notes in the top right corner. Sometimes it loads your notes, sometimes it does not - Searching. its soo detailed that it feels useless sometimes. the specific search filters that you need to type are not easy to use - Problems with message notifications with the recent UI update. like google integration chat it doesnt show up on the chat but it shows up on the activity counter

Communication, documentation, quick meetings, Integrations for seemles workflows are the top ones I can mention

l have had zero hard times with Slack therefore I can't dislike Slack.

I can engage with my clients easily because I can use Slack tools which allow me to Video call my clients who are far from me at ease. Slack has really helped me a lot through out the years l have been with them.

It has notification settings to messages only and we can opt to not receive notification for reactions for the messages we can go and check in the activity if we want to see which is really helpful because the work won't be interuppted.

Sometimes when person goes offline its not reflecting immediately it will be still showing for online like 6 to 8 minutes which makes people wait unnecessarily.

Mainly for sending admin requests in channel.It's really helpful for that.

I love how Slack is easy to use and navigate through. Slack has great customisation capability that streamline communication processes with colleagues and clients. The interface is also an aspect that makes Slack a very attractive and interactive software to work with.

I can't pretty much talk about any dislikes,simply because on my end slack has offered me with nothing but the best features that make communication a fun and superb experience.

Slack has been the platform that I have been using for the past five years as my default communication platform. It offers high audio and video quality during virtual meetings with colleagues. Messaging with slack has also been great because it is fast and offers end to end security during conversations.

There is some mismatch between the laptop version and the mobile app regarding user status, it's not accurately synchronized

I have been using Slack for almost 2 years now. Slack made company communications easier and also very FUN! It is very customizable, you can add as many channels as you want and you can modify it to allow certain people access to it, you can lock the channel or make it public, and you can also edit it post-creation. Dead channel? No problem, you can archive it and it would still be viewable in case you hold some dear memories in that channel so it won't ever be deleted unless you want to do so. You can integrate "Apps" or as we call them "Bots" on Slack for Examble, you can integrate Coda as a bot which can make any Coda link sent in Slack viewable or "Previewable" before you click. In my company, we integrated ChatGPT and gave it access to our customer service tools so when you ask it any question, it will respond appropriately to the company's rules! We also have a Confluence integration, which notifies us if there are any updated pages or newly made pages which is extremely helpful in a customer service job. Slack is used by us every day, it is our only method of communication between us and managers during a shift which makes everything said by anyone "Documentable" which is very nice. Slack outdid themselves on the last update, they made it look really nice and almost like what Discord looks which is nice.

For 2 years, I haven't seen any issues using Slack or anything that I dislike to be honest.

It solves the issue of contacting higher-ups as they can be viewed and contacted on Slack. Also, it benefits us by enabling us to document every step we make during work so that word of mouth is no longer a problem!

Though all features are also available in google for free, but having a separate portal makes comunication easier for daily basis and helps to interact with team members more efficiently

Easy to use, easy to navigate and easy to create tasks. Lots of features and integration opportunities, i like the possibility of sharing files and messages across different chats, and the use of channels. Integrated with Quip very nicely. The customer support team are active 24/7 to help when stack.

I don't have any negative experiences with Slack.

Slack allows me to send mass text to people instantly and through Slack am also able to conduct my businesses through video calls. I can also collaborate my projects with teams through video calls. Slack helps us grow and reach far.

Custom Icons and custom apps that could be integrated

Some times it doesn't work correctly and there are no good error message for users

While Slack is an excellent communication platform, one area for improvement could be enhancing the search functionality. Improving search capabilities, especially when dealing with a large volume of messages and files.

The user interface is so user-friendly. Getting started with it is very intuitive, and it's a great way to find out who is available, and it's great for organizing communications. I also love all the different apps I can use to enhance my workflow!

I wish Slack would allow me to submit a request for permissions directly to an admin within Slack.

Slack allows me to communicate with other people in the organization pretty effortlessly, and I like that I can set up reminders formyself as well.

Liked the ability to collaborate sync communicationwith team. We can pin the important topics of the conversation to refer it later. Easily available and accessible thru a mobile phone. Ability to communicate with clients or internal team with security.

Searching for specific conversations can be hard. Rather than that I don't see anything to dislike.

With our entire company spread across the globe in 12 countries, it is the one unifier for us. It helps create a melting pot that drives community. In addition, as a content writer, just scrolling the channels gives me ideas for content I would not otherwise have. Sometimes someone will post a question about our capabilities and someone else will respond with an answer and an example that I was previously unaware of — so it helps to break down silos.
