Slite Reviews: 4.6/5 — Highly Rated
Slite is an AI-powered knowledge base and documentation tool for teams. It helps capture, organize, verify, search, and maintain company documentation with agentic AI that spots stale docs, drafts missing content from connected tools (GitHub, Linear, Slack, etc.), answers questions with citations, and supports workflows for verifying and keeping docs up to date. Slite emphasizes strong search, integrations, compliance, and a focused knowledge-base experience rather than general project management.

Slite Pros and Cons

- Strong search, including across external integrated tools.

- Lower tiers have storage and upload limits and a limited number of AI credits which may constrain heavy users.

I love how simple it is to use Slite. It has a beautiful and minimal design, and it keeps all my documents nice and organized. I love that I can easily invite collaborators on documents and how easily everyone picks up how to use Slite so we can focus on the work that needs to get done.
I wish when I logged into Slite, instead of "Updates" it showed me my "Recents" aka the documents I last visited.
We use Slite internally to document all of our processes. We also use it for content writing and share the documents with contractors for collaboration. It's the knowledge hub for our business.
I honestly love the simplicity of the interface. It's very easy to navigate and intuitive in setting up pages and structure. I also love that you can do a lot with the pages (add videos, add links, tie-in with Google). It's a great way to document and share a company's internal ways.
I do wish it was a little better in allowing for "book" style structuring. Allow me to create and move pages in the order I want in tables, etc.
Our team and company has always struggled with keeping documentation in one location for those that need it to get the information easily. Slite has fully accomplished this for us. All the data is there and searchable for team members. No more looking in 6 places.
The Ask AI feature is beyond helpful for a small but growing team. We've moved away from M365 and all of our documentation is now hyper connected, as such we can work better, quicker and leverage our collective knowledge for our clients' benefit. The UX/UI is simple and smooth without being overly complicated. Loving the Google integration. We are recommending to all of our clients.
Very long documents take significant processing power to display and utilise
Slite has helped us to solve issues with siloed knowledge. It makes our data dynamically searchable and is easier to access and orientate between documents.
Slite's real-time collaborative editing has been a game-changer for us. Whether we're brainstorming ideas, outlining project plans, or documenting important decisions, the ability to work together seamlessly in real-time fosters a sense of unity and productivity among our team members.
challenges accessing and editing notes without an internet connection, which can be inconvenient for those who work in areas with poor connectivity.
The use of Markdown in Slite is a brilliant choice. It allows us to format text effortlessly, ensuring our documents are not only well-organized but also visually appealing. This simplicity in formatting contributes to a smoother note-taking experience.
Easy of use and continuously updating and adding relevant features.
Logs me out of the app frequently and my password doesn't save, this is on desktop.
We needed a place to store and create documentation.
Very intuitive software with frequent updates that delight the whole team! Everybody in the team adapted quickly and uses it actively.
AI features could be a bit fine-tuned, but this is a new product!
As a remote team, communication is one of the largest challenges, Slite takes this away!
I have used many tools dedicated to document not only technical projects but also company culture and office amenities at the same time, and other solutions would excel in one and fall short at the other. Slite with it's great editor makes it easy for me to write technical documentations and for other members to write how to disarm the office alarm. And also, we had an issue with one of our documents and we were able to get an actual technical person to reach out to us and fix the bug in a matter of days.
I wish that I could have vim keybindings in the editor (or, even better, allow me to edit documents from my own editor — but I know this can be tricky)
It's realy ease to link related documents together and tag team members that might have more expertise to improve the current document
Its easy to use for non-technical people. It's a great tool for the whole team with live updating and provides a single source of truth in our software agency. Customer support is excellent and best of all, it's constantly being improved.
The templating in the sketch functionality doesn't save.
Helps us avoid having lots of orphaned and out-of-date documents.
Slite is very helpful in term of organization and team collaboration. I love the fact that you are able to customize permissions with other users and we're able to build our company handbook for Administrators and Field Workers. It's easy to use and once you get a hang of it's functionalities, you'll love it! We are constantly adding to it daily, transferring all information from our Google Drive to the Slite platform. We use it daily and happy that we found it.
At the moment, there is nothing that I dislike about Slite. 10/10 as of now.
Buidling our company handbook and keeping things organized. It benefits the entire team now that we are able to house our policies in one place and collab when necessary.
I like that this is a great way to access and edit "living documents" and can navigate related documents in a website style rather than going through individual folders stored on a cloud/drive system. I use this in a research lab, in which I can have a project heading and can add instructions, scripts, different information on how to navigate the projects, and also update files as we go. This way, I can always make sure that my teammates and assistants have access to the most updated version of these documents.
I wouldn't use this with anything that has identifiable information, or needs to be stored with all file versions. I don't use any file that I don't want to be accidentally updated or changed. I think that this is supposed to be for 'living documents' and is excellent for remote training and onboarding for various projects and work environments. However, it's not for storing all your documents.
Like I mentioned before, this has been an excellent tool for onboarding and training people remotely. They can read background information, project responsibilities, keep a log of their work for everyone to see! It's cut down on time we spend on video meetings and is much easier to navigate than many folders on a drive!
