Toggl is easy to set up, easy to use and the desktop app is super handy. I like the options available for setting up projects and tasks, and I like using tags to track the type of work I'm doing. The reports are really useful and insightful as well.

I think the only downside is not being able to issue invoices based on time tracked - but they're a time-tracker app, not an invoicing app so can't really complain.

Using tags to track the type of work I do is really useful, so I'm not only tracking projects and tasks, but I can see how much of my time is spent doing admin, design, client management, etc.

I love the desktop mini-tracker. It's a lawyer's dream come true. Being able to start and stop and continue projects so quickly and just copy and paste the information into my client's billing software is amazing. I recommend this to absolutely every single new associate who comes to the firm and have used it for years since I found it - 4 firms ago. It is extremely easy to use, the full print out detailed reports are very helpful. Also being able to enter past time in minute increments (ex: .6) is great for a lawyer.

I literally don't have any complaints. This is a wonderful product.

I no longer have to write down every time I switch between tasks. I can start stop a project and then start a call and then start right back up with the project and track it all easily right on my screen. This cuts hours out of entering my time.

That I can pull reports of all activities for each client

Sometimes I have to do some clean up if I stop and start within a short amount of time but otherwise, it is so easy to use, this is a user issue that doesn't take long to resolve.

I charge my clients by the minute. I don't round up or down so precision is important. My clients appreciate they are being charged for actual time worked and not some random estimate of time.

Clean and easy to use user interface. Vast and great integration among hundreds of online services. Apps on almost every platform (browser extensions my fav). Pomodoro feature. Manageability based on your projects and clients.

Linux client is useless compared to browser extensions.

Increasing focus and reducing distractions. Gives a helpful perspective about productivity through out the day or the week.

Been using since about May 2020. I love that it's easy to use and intuitive to figure out when you're first starting out. I love that there are 3 (4?) ways to access Toggl track: Desktop, Browser Extension, Browser "Popped Out Into A Tab" version, and a Phone app (I'm on Android, my VA is on iPhone). I track my own time AND my VA tracks their too as a part of my "team". I can leave the timer running when I leave to run a business errand and change to the next task on my phone while I'm out and they're automatically synced. Also if I make a mistake I can update it. It's really become ingrained in me to check what I'm doing to make sure that Toggl Track reflects that activity, which has the added benefit of keeping me on track when I inevitably fall down a rabbit hole or are otherwise not working on my most productive use of time. When it's time to submit hours for paycheck for my VA I pull one report with a few clicks and get a PDF that I send along. It takes less than 30 seconds. Finally, I love that it's free. As a small family business, my budget is VERY limited. All funds that I can direct to advertising/marketing projects I do it.

I really had to think about this one, because there's not much I don't like about it. After much pondering, I have to say that the only thing I don't like about it is the layout for the Chrome Extension version that's located in the upper right corner of my browser screen. I always "Pop Out" that version out into a tab on the browser. And I don't really use the desktop version for the same reason. I use the browser tab version and my phone most often. I can't exactly pinpoint when I don't like about the desktop and the browser extension "non-popped-out" versions. I love that there's lots of options for people to choose from based on their preferences...and I've selected my preferences quite quickly. Finally, I'm not a huge fan of pink...but I like purple, so when the color changed I was surprised but got used to it quickly.

Keeping track of VA work was the biggest problem I solved using Toggl Track. Having an easy report to submit for payroll was a huge plus. It gave both me and the VA more freedom to concentrate on the money-making work, and much less time worrying about administrative stuff.

I like how easy it is to "clock" in and start the timeclock running by pressing the play button, then "clock out" by pressing the stop key. I also like how it keeps a running daily total of time worked, and weekly totals.

No biggie, but it "grays out" the end of longer time entries until you click on them. I'd prefer it if I could just see the entire time entry.

Makes it super easy to keep track of billable hours.

Benefits: I easily clock in for projects and then sort by many filters to get info I need. I'm not having any problems related to what I need.

What I like best about Toggl is that it is able to show the total time of what I have been doing. This helps me know what topic or subject should I prioritize most. Toggl also makes me feel rewarded because at the end of every week I could see the total time of all my work displayed on the top bar which encourages me to work harder and be more productive the next week.

Although Toggl is a great app, I think it lacks customization for the user. It would be a lot better if Toggl could change the background or at more color to the taskbar. By creating personalization features, it would make the user more comfortable using it.

The main benefit from using Toggl is that it enables me to keep a steady pace doing my work and balance the work out orderly. When I first started using Toggl, I thought I need a timer that could keep track of specific subjects and works so that I can know how much more should I put my time into the subject. As I began exploring the features of Toggl, I find that it has much more than I anticipated. Toggl was able to make a time-distribution bar that shows all my work time of the week which is very helpful for me to know what to prioritize next.

It's very simple and has all of the right features. It sinks across platforms too, which is awesome.

There isn't much I don't like about Toggl.

I am able to track how much time I am spending on different tasks and projects.

The very quick manner to write time is helpfull. The export function is also handy.

I have no dislikes for Toggl. It is really a good product.

I use Toggle to register my time for my work, so that I don't forget these hours.

It fulfills all my time tracking needs at this point, and there is nothing I dislike at this time.

I'm tracking with easy the multiple tasks I'm working throughout the day. At the end I get a summary of the time I spent on each of them making it very easy to do my time sheet.

Cloud-based tracking from your phone and computer is super convenient and one of the best features of this service!

The limits on team members on the free version but you can always pay to get more. It is a business expense! :)

Being able to track my time in REALTIME is a huge hurdle especially for project management when switching back and forth between different jobs. This is amazing and helps make invoicing SO EASY!

I exclusively use the 'manual mode' to track my time/tasks, and now that the 'calendar' view has been added, I use that to review my entries to make sure there are no gaps.

Nothing much. I've tried a couple of other apps, and this one has the features I'm looking for in a time-keeping app.

Of course I would love it to be free all the way. So that's a thing I dislike. Have to pay for reports.

Time tracking, definitely.

I love how easy it is to create new clients and projects, as well as how easy it is to start and stop the timer.

The only thing I've found so far that I'd like to change is that, when starting the timer, I'd like to immediately be able to back the start time up to an earlier time (because I forgot to start it and have already been working for 30 minutes, for example). But at least I can add time after the timer stops running.

I'm tracking my time to make it easy to bill clients, quote future projects, and keep track of how much time I'm spending on non-income-generating tasks.

I love that they have both a desktop and mobile app which synchronizes seamlessly. It is simple to create different projects add tags to categories different parts of a project. We can adjust times if needed and identify if the tracked activity is billable. We can add reminders to track activities if desired, and if there is apparent inactivity, we get a reminder asking if tracked time is to be discarded or not.

I cannot think of anything to dislike. Everything I mentioned is free for the freelancer plan. They have paid plans too. It adds features for teams and larger organizations.

I'm able to evaluate time for different side projects I have and to be sure I cover the necessary hours required at my job. I can evaluate with more precession the time other projects will take. I can also assess how much time I invest for my projects. I can view detailed reports and filter results for specific time frames. It enables me to plan better and set prices more precisely.

I've used Toggl for personal and professional time tracking, and the absolute ease of use makes this product a staple in my daily workflow. The ability to simply start and stop timers is seamless while still offering a high level of customization and potential correction. Even the ability to change the start time of an in-progress timer is intuitive and brilliant as a user.

Toggl has made some great UI changes in recent years, but a more robust way of customizing your interface and views would be a bonus, especially since this is a program I use nearly all day and check in with frequently. Some additional timer views or even color themes would be fun.

I find that I lose a ton of time in my day switching between tasks and Toggl allows me to keep track of what my priorities are. For reporting purposes, I'm able to very accurately communicate how much time a deliverable took and how much time I need to report.

Lots of options to categorize the work I'm doing. Excellent reporting capabilities.

Honestly it's hard to think of something....I just sat here staring at the box and couldn't come up with anything. I really really love Toggl.

I understand how much time to bill my hourly clients for. i can break down the numbers however they like -- by week, by project, by year... all by clicking a few buttons. For project-based work, I can track how much time it takes me and make sure I'm billing appropriately. I can also see what my weekly hourly capacity is as a freelancer. I was also briefly tracking time spent on creative work/personal growth when I was trying to bump up those aspects of my life.

I love how simple and intuitive it is to learn and use. It also has pretty strong analysis tools to review where you're spending the most time over the course of weeks or months.

I would love to see a Toggl desktop app in the future!

I've been using Toggl for over a year now (as an independent user, not associated with my company) as a tool to help me stay focused, as I have ADHD and it's easy for me to stray from my work plan for the day or to spend an inordinate amount of time on something I didn't mean to. Toggl has made me more organized, more productive, and more confident in my ability to have successful days at work.

We can add how much each person gets paid per hour and makes your job really easy when it's time to pay.

I am finding it a little difficult to figure out the whole functionality.

Before toggle we use to manually tag everyone's hours and manually calculate their pay. Now everything is automated.

With toggle I get to manage my time in a better way I use it to give my tasks a certain time by setting the timer and checking it to see if I exceeded the time for the task Or I can measure how much time I spent on new tasks

It's great and simple tool I think they should add a floating button it would be great Every thing is working great and I liked it in general

I can organize my timetable daily by setting the best time for every task and stick to it It made me more productive and I have more control of my time and daily agenda

The desktop app makes time tracking very simple, and the integration with Trello makes logging time a natural part of my workflow.

I had no accurate way of knowing how long tasks took and how much time I was spending working on client projects. Now I know and use the project alerts to stay on track.

When working in two different time zones it may eventually get mixed up if the user does not set the correct time zone when obtaining the reports. .

I find it really easy to track hours on different projects. It makes it simple for me to download project hours to send to clients and it makes invoicing easy with a detailed minute-to-minute tracking.

I have a business where sometimes I need to track time manually, and I don't need a vast robust program for the same. Toggl is a straightforward, intuitive application that handles the one specific task I need.

Not much, It does everything exactly as I would expect and hope.

Without spending a huge monthly cost on a program to handle time tracking, Toggl is a barebones solution for my problem of time tracking.
