Wati Pros and Cons
- Unified messaging across WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, SMS and website chat
- Strong automation and AI agent features including no-code bot builder and CoPilot
- Deep integrations with commerce (Shopify, WooCommerce) and CRM tools
- Transparent tiered pricing and a 7-day free trial
- Comprehensive APIs and webhooks for extensibility
- Message/conversation costs per Meta plus Wati markups can increase total cost at scale
- Some important features are gated or limited in lower tiers or trial (webhooks, user management)
- Marketing/template restrictions for U.S. phone numbers in some cases
- UI limitations such as no dark mode
- Primarily WhatsApp-centric; may be less ideal for use cases requiring heavy email or voice channels
Product UI is fine but it took a long time for us to get used. And most of the support questions they direct us to some generic article in the website. I wish the WATI team put in some effort on dealing with existing customers, instead of always running behind new customers.
Worst customer support system. I was really schoked how can a support software team can be so much rediculous.
Connecting website visitors using WHATSAPP chat tool
Multi people communication and handling the inquiries, now adding the country flag on the incoming message is good as we serve many overseas clients—nice deal for the pricing.
The quick reply is not well designed, the sorting function not working smooth, cannot do the chatbot design, and also, the dashboard cannot see how many total messages we broadcast. one of the crazy things is one time I hit the 1,000 messages limit, and the alert sent after 5 hours and then the whole night cannot send out the OTP to the client. long delay ==
I am solving the customer enquiries from HK employers and overseas domestic helpers. Wati can easily make us connect with all people and I love the template message function.
Easiness to design the conversation flow.
Whatsapp only and no Web Livechat integration
WATI can reduce my manpower by handling early stage conversation so my manpower can be focused onto more serious customer.
The dashboard looked promising and layout was ok.
Comms were mixed up, we got billed after cancelling, general support was poor, and they couldn't help us get FB Business Manager working.
Potentially could have solved our multi-channel outreach needs, but systems and poor customer service affected the ability to deliver this in the end.
Bulk outreach to Whatsapp contacts. Whatsapp automation flow.
Arrogance by WATI team. We had repeatedly asked for the backlink on the chat widget to be removed and the 1000 messaging credits to not expire. They did not budge, instead canceled the subscription without approval from us.
