I didn't want to spend a lot of time and effort installing and configuring an eCommerce solution for our WordPress website. I found Woocommerce and was of and running in about an hour and that included integrating it with the Woocommerce Learning Management System called Sensei. Got my online class added as a product and ready to sell in this same time period. All easy enough to do for a beginner to Woocommerce.,

Nothing to date. I have enjoyed the online tutorials and those have gotten me through any issues I've faced.

But we have benefitted by having an easy to install and configure tool. I was also pleased that our bank's merchant services groups is able to integrate with WooCommerce allowing us to get cheaper transaction rates that with PayPal or Square.

WooCommerce is an easy to install & use, extendable and scalable application. WooCommerce offers a large flexibility in functionality and for the availability of theme designs. WooCommerce itself has a large marketplace of plugins for different features like: shipping (UPS, USPS etc.), payment methods (PayPal, Authorize.net AIM and CIM), inventory and much more.

Some features can be achieved only by programming, by placing php code inside the included functions of the child template.

Being able to edit values for items as I need over 100s of items to share value and pricing such as size, weight and pricing.

Value tends to not work correctly not giving all items the same value which hurts during sales to get in and edit to correct. Needs a mass fast edit.

The fact that the frontend is very configurable but also already very polished.

It's a bit slow without attention to specific caching.

This is a great solution to deploy for small to medium businesses that need control over their own eCommerce options. I don't use WP much anymore but when I do this install is almost ubiquitous.

I like the automation of everything. I also like the fact that there’s a plug-in or widget for almost every need. Woocommerce made my life so much easier when I came to starting my business and creating my website.

Woocommerce takes away a lot of he manual work. I’ve realized that I can focus more on marketing and reporting because most of it is manual.

WooCommerce is a very widely used plugin for E Commerce, it let you create your own store in your website. you can add product, manage catalogs, process order all from your wordpress admin panel. All the ideas or features you can think of, there is a special plugin always made for same. You can further customize it to meed your needs.

To have a complete store, WooCommerce alone is not sufficient, you will need to install other supporting plugins as well.

Installed the free version and loved it! It gives customers a very slick, easy and professional way to give their review of products they purchased. Really really nice. Support is responsive and helpful.

The only thing I would add is more Documentation on setting it up would be helpful. Decided to buy the premium version for control over the display of the return email address.

I've been using WooCommerce for about 3 years now, and I love it. I use it for my client's websites as well as my own. It's an excellent, easy-to-use e-commerce software option and the best available for Wordpress. Easy to extend with the numerous available plugins, and quick to get a small shop up and running.

I do wish the basic shipping plugins had a few more features, because in order to get a decent shipping situation going you have to shell out a little bit for better featured shipping plugins.

I've used WooCommerce for very small online shops such as 2-3 products, and I've used it for a some large online ships (5000-10000 products) and it scales very well. It's an excellent solution for an ecommerce website. It's very easy to teach my clients how to administrate their orders from the wordpress admin, and they love how easy it is to use.

In case there are too many variations you can use Composite Product type to let the customer choose himself each component at the moment of buying on your website and thus to get the product that suits him best. The prices will be changing according to the type of the product your client has chosen, you just need to introduce all the necessary information in WooCommerce. For me it is especially useful because now we are introducing hundreds of products on the web site

There is no option to sort categories by the date of creation, it could be very handy in case you need to delete massively the categories that you introduced by mistake

I really don't know maybe the price for "pro" version but it's not very expensive for small business. the price of professional themes and some add-on who could be "very" expensive.

Es intuitivo y muy fácil de usar. No requiere mucho esfuerzo para poder montar una tienda online que quede bien.

Su escalabilidad y el tamaño de la comunidad que se ha formado, Con la integración de otros plugins es posible solucionar todos los recursos que faltan a woocommerce fácilmente... Multi-idiomas? Hay un plugin para eso, Mejorar el SEO, hay un plugin para eso, vender un producto formado de muchos otros productos agrupados? Hay un plugin... y así para casi cualquier limitación que encuentres... la mayoría de los plugins son gratuitos y los de pago suelen ser bastante asequibles, además por ser código abierto cualquier desarrollador puede modificar caso no encuentres un plugin que ya haga lo que necesitas.

Igual que con Wordpress (donde Woocommerce funciona) necesitas un BUEN servidor con OPCache habilitado, una versión reciente del PHP y además plugins de cache y optimización y un CDN... Es MUY FÁCIL crear una tienda, no tan fácil que la tienda sea rápida, principalmente cuando añadas miles de productos a tu base de datos.

Principalmente ofrecer toda la información de nuestros productos de forma fácil y intuitiva, lo usaremos como un catálogo online en la fase 1 de nuestra nueva web (aún en beta) añadiendo ventas en una segunda fase de region en region (empezando por España).

Its open source, free, have loads of integration and plugins available and development resources in a way that, if none of the 9999999 plugins available do what you need, (a rare case scenario) you just have to develop (or find a developer that can do the trick) and you fix the problem by yourself! A+

Its resources-hungry... once you start putting some hundreds (thousands in our case) of products, a cheap server will not be able to keep up with its requirements, so make sure you have a good server for it.

We hadnt an e-commerce before, so its a new thing to our company.

i like the layout of the orders in order to manage them and the ability to import them to third party applications like shipstation

Based on a great CMS, this add-on is one of the best way of transforming an established domain into a small online store. It is simple enough that you don't need any training just add products and start selling. It is also very Friendly SEO and you can getused to it really quick.

It is good for beginners, but when you start adding thousands of products you need something else tobe able to bulk edit them all

This is my favorite plugin because you can build a website on wordpress base and you install this plugin for free and you can start selling immediately. They are also improving their system every single day. I love them!

There are some feature that if you want to implement takes a lot of time and energy.

I did use this software for a smaller shop, great seo results and users are very used to navigating on this kind of shop.

It did perform great but had some problems with scalability and I was forced to switch to a bigger and better platform

Creating an online store with no money

You can make a store for your blog right away. Just install the addon and add your products. It operates good for a small shop, you can also operate multi shop, it increases your productivity. All the integrations with different suppliers, payment methods and so on makes it a great choice.

It does not scale pretty well, if you want a custom shop in my opinion is not the way to go. Or if you are interested only in a shop you should use something built for that

WooCommerce is a powerful tool that can be integrated into your Wordpress site. It has a lot of inbuilt features, but you can add a lot more customization options via plugins. Great integration with some of the best payment gateways, like PayPal or Stripe. Also with some powerful e-commerce tools such as MailChimp. The stock management is also great.

There aren't so many things that I dislike about WooCommerce. I use it in so many projects and it has always been a good tool. The worst thing, in my opinion, is the automated email templates customization. They could implement an editor to easily customize the emails that the systems deliver automatically to the customers. Maybe I would also say that sometimes it causes some problems with multilingual sites developed with WPML plugin. The issues are usually for translation synchronization. And with some plugin or Wordpress core updates could appear some bugs, but they usually solve it when they release a new update.
