Support managing large number of products, I particularly love the ability to manage via exports and imports of CSV files. Great functionality provided to customize website using PageBuilder and third-party apps. User documentation and real-time customer support is terrific.
Some customizations require advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Displaying current inventory levels for our large catalog file - we use a third-party app to update available inventory from our core Sage database. Displaying available inventory has increased online sales, particularly during the current supply chain challenges.
I like their backend UI, support, ready-made theme available, support community, and many more features.
The price is a little high but it's worth it as per they provide service.
I have solved API-based database connections for ERP, and big commerce documentation is very good which helps you to work in API.
Big Commerce cares about their customers. They constantly strive to bring business to you and me. Customer service is attentive, helpful and professional. I love that they really listen to your concerns and assist in finding resolutions.
There is nothing I dislike about Big Commerce.
Downsized business due to health. Lowering monthly due to lack of sales.
Customer and Sales Support is by far the best. The product is robust with lots of features and excellent apps that plug in. I've been a customer for many years and have no plans for switching. Thank you Big Commerce for making eCommerce easy.
There's really nothing to dislike that I can think of right now. I mean pricing could always be lower it's a little bit expensive but you get what you pay for I guess.
Making it easier for customers to do business with us which is driving sales.
I find building a website on BigCommerce to be easy, especially considering I am not a 'techy'! Whenever I have had to ask Technical Support whether on Live Chat or by phone they have, without fail, sorted my problem out for me in a very kind and speedy manner. I also like that they send you the chat afterwards so I can go back and check. I have always marked BigCommerce as 10 out of 10 and that has never changed.
I honestly can't say I dislike anything about BigCommerce. I find it easy to use and, crucially, the tech support teams whether by phone or live chat are always efficient, kind and have, without fail, always managed to sort my query out. Even when occasionally they have had me asking numerous questions. Always 10 out of 10 reviews from me.
I have now built three websites on BigCommerce and I find the page builder easy to understand, although obviously not being a web designer by profession, I do have to contact tech support to ask questions. I have never felt intimidated or wary of speaking to BigCommerce tech support as they have always been helpful. I also love that, after a live chat, you get sent the transcript so if I get stuck again I can go back and check. The problems I have had are not with BigCommerce itself, just myself navigating around the site to find out how to do things. Most of it is easy but I find once I have contacted tech support that the query was pretty obvious and easy to rectify. The tech support have always been kindness itself when I have asked them anything and I have never been made to feel stupid for not knowing.
user friently , easy to navigate, very simple layout
some features may be added, dashboard could be made more user friendly
Pre-Built Tools compared to any other eCommerce platform helps to reduce Costs While Growing my Business offers Immediate Access To Hundreds Of Features
I don't have to wait to speak to a knowledgeable person who I think is from the US. I am not opposed to foreign customer service, but this is easy and helpful!
I have heard from Cora about a short survey way too many times.
We feel safe and protected from hackers etc. with our Big C account. The site syncs to our shipping service well, our payment accounts and keeps me in the loop.
Subscription model as per the need and business size. Easy integration with Google Ads and implementing pixel is super easy. Interactive dashboard for store performance. Added functionalities such as Google Customer Reviews.
The interface is not super interactive and there are many areas for improvement. For example, the reporting section needs to be more detailed. The basic plan lacks a lot of essential features such as Google consumer reviews.
eCommerce setup and selling products. Integrating with Google Ads to sale over shopping channel. Work with reporting team to see what products are doing well and needs to be restocked sooner than later.
Clean lines and very user friendly for owner and customer was the first website I could administer myself from Go to Whoa.
Couldn't really knock the platform as from the beginning they have always wanted to produce the best possible product.
From product upload to order and despatch, it is seamless.
For what BC offers, they're hard to beat. Coming from Wordpress/Woo, it's a goldmine of flexibility when it comes to their backend structure, security and flexibility. They offer so much in their base package. Wordpress is messy and so much to maintain. BC is not. It's a simple plug-n-play type of system where you add your content and you can be up and running within 24 hours. It's quite refreshing, actually.
As with most of the others, customization is lacking. Their "free" templates are blah and boring and their paid templates are cost-prohibitive for a startup. If you've got the funds for one, that's great; but for many of my clients, they need something quick and easy to get started with. While BC has a superb back-end, the design side of it for "unseasoned" business owners can be very challenging and frustrating. Their new(er) page designer is good, but not great.
Ease of use, quick to implement and a thorough selection of options for the beginning shopkeeper. I work mostly with new small business owners and BC has checked all of our boxes to get started with speed and efficiency.
