I like how easy is it to create product pages that can be connected to the product itself. For instance, you can insert a link or file into the ad page on your end, and when someone sees your ad page and decides to buy they will automatically receive the file (ex: e-book, manual, etc).
The differences between the various level plans are a bit confusing to distinguish and that makes it hard to know which option is best for your specific situation.
I am able to link my products directly to a page without necessarily needing it to be somewhere on a website - makes it easier to send to an interested potential client as opposed to sending them to my website with steps how to find the specific product they're interested in.
It is extremely easy to set up and use. I love the ability to create my own checkout pages as well. It also connects seamlessly with Stripe which makes everything easier for me.
Not getting notifications every time a reoccurring payment has gone through. That would be a nice feature to have.
I am solving the issue of not having a reputable link for my clients to submit payments. It looks more professional than Paypal etc. I used to use Venmo as well and that looks unprofessional so this is better.

Subscriptions are easy to manage.
It was easy for us to get started on SamCart! We were able to get up and running in under an hour.
Some of the features that we require (like dunning management) require upgrading to another tier. It's not ideal to have subscriptions available at the lower level tiers but not be able to easily manage them and understand who had gone delinquent without upgrading.
We're easily able to customize our products and price points, and the checkout pages are optimized for conversions. We saw sales immediately increase once we switched to SamCart.
I like the to use templates and there is a variety to choose from.
You can create custom fields but when you place them in the document, you cannot change the order they appear. An example: I created a field called "Company" (which is oddly not a standard field). When inserted into the form, you can't move it to above the automatic fields of "First name", "Last name" , "Email" or "Phone number".
We are able to create a basic check out form not connected to a product.
I love how easy it is to use with all the drag and drop features.
If you want all of the additional features, it's easy to get priced out if you're a small business and can't afford hundreds of dollars a month.
We've been able to up our order values with upsells!
Easy to use! Information is stored and organized well.
Sometimes it take a while to load and information gets lost then has to be found again.
Harder to delete information by mistake, takes 2-3 conformation screens
the system accepts one to make installments for a ticket to attend a course. The WYSIWYG platform does make the process to build a product simpler. The visual presentation and the template options are very professional looking; much better than the view one gets with other platforms like eventbrite.
For our needs it just isn't a great fit. Each payment option is a "product" and it just seems clunky to combine them into one event because you can't prioritize one option over another. The system seems to do that for you. It would be helpful if one could prioritize the options. Also, the name of the event (which is what the potential buyer sees) gets populated by the product name, which wasn't a good fit for our needs. Lastly, if you are looking to register more than one person through the purchase, it doesn't allow for that. Overall, the system is great for a true e-cart alternative, but for our needs is just not doing what we wanted.
Providing the option to make installments to pay for the training course.
The templates are great. There's a good amount of stock photos to use.
Some of the template formatting is glitchy. It isn't the best platform for everyone's needs.
Converting visitors to paid sales. Most people come to my site from referral to pay, so it's aesthetically pleasing!
I enjoy how easy it is to refund or partially refund in SamCart
Oftentimes, searching a customer by full name does not provide results, but when you search for them by last name alone or first name alone, they can be located. I would like to be able to send an invoice to customers.
SamCart allows me to add notes if there is anything that needs to be recorded, such as a customer who was offered a different product to replace the one they've purchased.
There is nothing that I like about these immoral grifters.
Charge money for "free" offerings and don't give the opportunity to consent.
It's not. I've filed complaints with the FBI, FTC, and BBB.
The interface is pleasant to interact with, and the flow of the whole platform seems easy enough to use. It's very visually based.
1) There isn't one report you can download, instead you have to download multiple reports 2) the reporting doesn't match (meaning one report says x and the other report says xxxxxxxxz) 3) it's impossible to get good customer service, and when someone responds they don't read your entire question or try to help. It's a general answer that is copied and pasted, and then your ticket is closed out. 4) when using their import feature, Samcart created THOUSANDS of new products because they didn't use the correct data mapping.
Nothing at the moment, unfortunately. We are still waiting for them to unscramble the data that was imported so we can use the platform correctly. I am also waiting to hear back about why reports are not showing the same numbers (as they should be)
