Some of the best things about Adobe Premiere Pro are: Easy to use and clean User Interface making it very straightforward to go through and get started. The software is developed primarily centered around productivity for end-users by customizing the shortcuts as per the user needs and practice in a very convenient manner saving a lot of time spent in learning things. Here it's very easy to get started and progress. Allows Cloud Syncing and prevents data loss in case files are deleted or lost. Also, it helps in accessing data on other devices. Compatibility with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications is one of the most beneficial benefits of Premiere Pro.
The trial period is only available for 30 days and the price of the Adobe Premiere Pro is also pretty much high as compared to the other similar software in this domain. Another major drawback is the requirement of a highly intensive machine to work smoothly with Adobe Premiere Pro, do rendering, and all other associated things which again costs very expensive.
Saves a lot of time in editing because of the custom shortcuts, keyboard shortcuts which certainly help to do the most required operations in a short span of time. Cloud Sync helps in effectively sharing the data and the other resources in a seamlessly smooth way. Moreover, it ensures data availability all the time round the clock and helps to work with all major file formats.
If you are new to Premiere at a first glance the dashboard can be a little intimidating. However, if you spend a day or 2 poking around you will quickly understand the basics and from there can create stunning end products.
The fact that it needs to use another program media encoder to output files. I think Adobe could just combine the software into one product. I think possibly another area of improvement would be to re-do the user interface in a future release to be more intuitive to new users. I have been using it for years but if I put myself in the shoes of a new users then I think some tools are pretty hidden and with the right UX team it could be made better.
Creating highly polished videos for marketing purposes is the main goal when using this software. You can also download templates and simply repurpose the raw file for your own needs.
How they are always updating and expanding their abilities. Has been crucial to my work.
How they refuse to fix basic bugs such as time remapping and opacity sliders randomly stop working. They tend to focus more on new features than fixing old ones.
Problems: some sliders randomly stop working, Syncing between after effects and premiere is usually seamless, but sometimes runs into issues. Benefits: a ton of tutorials online due to its popularity.
I like that it has a large variety of features that makes editing interesting, more engaging, and adding a lot more expression power to your video. I also appreciate the fact that there is a large knowledge base available, with tutorials, tips, and tricks shared by Adobe experts and other users. This product allows the user to make professional-looking videos in 15 minutes.
It often crashes and you may lose some of your work. This can be extremely frustrating. I also should note that this is not a product for beginners. Basic knowledge of video editing is highly recommended, or this could be like many other products that people give up learning because of the frustration over that learning curve. The beginner may be overwhelmed with the way the workspace is presented if there is no understanding of its features.
The main problem is that most videos created by non-professional video editors use "cookie-cutter" layout and effects (e.g. iMovie). Adobe Premiere Pro allows your project to stand out - even if you are not a professional editor. Another problem resolved with Adobe Premiere Pro is the inability to customize the product workspace. The intermediate video editing user understands the value of having your favorite editing tools "at your fingertips."
The effects and options from the application to make your video better
The rendering time and it requires high configuration pc
This is the video editing software and you can create awesome videos for YouTube and Instagram
The upsides about Adobe Premier Pro is that for new users it isnt too overwhelming regarding video editing.
I do dislike that certain features within video editing are hidden or hard to find in the menus.
Not really solving any problems but, easily adapting and learning on using Adobe Premier pro to video edit.
It fits really well within the Adobe Ecosystem. The integration with Audition is fantastic as soon as a release ready audio is completed it can be imported with a few clicks and no delay or workflow interruption into Premiere in sharp contrast with ACID Pro. I'm in charge of audio creation and video editing is normally another guy job but when the deadline for a video is short because it needs to be released we work together in the live Premier Project instead of taking turns like we usually do when the deadline is a little more flexible and passing the project files between us doesn't slow us down.
It is very resource-heavy. Since I'm only working on the Audio part whenever I'm using Premiere I ask if a lower res (720p or 1080p version) of the project is available because otherwise I'm bound to my desktop and I like to also use my laptop and its 16GB Ram isn't always enough to run it smoothly.
I add the finishing sound bits to a video whenever extra manpower is needed.
I love the ability to have multiple sequence tabs open at one time. This allows me to work on each piece of my videos separately and bring them all together at the end. I also love the color grading and color correcting layout, so simple for both beginners and experts!
The newest version - 2020 - crashes A LOT. It can be pretty frustrating, especially when you forgot to save your work.
I am running my side hustle as a videographer. I am able to bring in more income using Adobe premiere! I am solving the problems of not being able to edit sound, image, color all in the same place!
Communicating to employees in a large organization is hard because they will most likely don't even watch your videos and won't remember most of them but you have a message to give for those who take the time to watch it but they will definitely remember if you make a big mistake and even share it just for fun, with premiere pro I make sure that doesn't happen with the media I'm in charge of creating or reviewing, for edits you can use the whole Adobe suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, etc... without needing to import and export between the different programs.
I have a really good Work PC with 64GB of ram and they do get used by premiere pro and the other adobe programs opened while I process the video and they do get used at 100% sometimes I have tried alternatives like davinci resolve and they aren't that memory heavy.
Creating, editing and reviewing videos before they go live
Hotkeys make sense, great integration with other Adobe suite products.
Not a fan of Adobe Encoder. I like for the editing software to easily export content directly to a useable format.
Creating content easily and quickly. It is cheaper and more flexible than other editing software like Final Cut. It also appears to run better on average machines.
I love all that I can do with this program. This program and I have become best friends. There is so much functionality when using this program. My videos come out amazing when I am done. They always look professional because of adobe premiere pro. I use the denoise and crop features the most and they are so easy to use. The denoise allows me to take almost any type of clip and remove all that nasty background noise so the video sound clear.
I hate it when Adobe comes out with a new version of the program that they either get ride of a feature that I love to use and they tend to move things around so it like learning a whole new program over again.
I have tone of videos that I make weekly for my school. Especially during COVID-19 I have made almost 100 different videos using Adobe Premiere pro. I have realized that this product can be used on the go. I have it install on my Laptop and I can work at it in the office or in my chair in front of the TV at night. All i have to do is plug in some headphone and I am all set. Also, the more I use it the faster it work. It remembers settings that I use all the time so I Don't have to set them each time.
If you are familiar with other Adobe products like Photoshop, Indesign, and Illustrator you will find the intro tutorials are super helpful and easy to understand when using this program for the first time. I use Adobe Premiere for basic video editing for YouTube & Instagram. The tools are easy when it comes to chopping and putting together video. I also use the audio presets to help clean up my dialog and add so background music. After the initial tutorials that Adobe provided I learned how to use the basic functions under one hour.
The only thing that's kind of annoying is when you exit out a project the whole project shuts down and you have to restart it if you're working on something else after. I think this is because the program takes up a lot of space so I understand why Adobe does this. I also wish there was an easy and intuitive way to work on two different projects and drag and drop things like Photoshop. These things are minor though.
I like the preset graphics and effects which makes video editing a lot easier. I do suggest taking some tutorials online if you want to do some creative visual effects. Tutvid on Youtube is a great resource for all designers and creatives! Adobe Premiere is easy to understand and edit videos on the fly which really helps our marketing department create visually dynamic ads and social media content.
Well, the best thing about this software is the fact that is very usable and has got a very great user interface that is very accommodating and thus easy to work with even for a novice. Therefore getting along with the software and developing your skills as one grows into an expert is one cool attribute of this software and the fact that it offers a wide spectrum of editing tools that are key in making lasting memories most especially for events companies like mine where creating benevolent visual stories for people's events is our daily occupation.
In the beginning, one may find that the software has some attributes that are great in creating a great video project that are not easy to work with but with patience and commitment one should be able to grasp those.
The greatest benefit of this software has been the ability on our end to meet our clients' demands in delivering beautiful and memorable visual stories and event videos that have served purposes of a social nature but also been very key in digital marketing across the platforms. At the input level the software provides a great deal of possibilities that are key in meeting our expectations and because of this limitless options and video editing tools, our company is thriving.
Ease of use, great user interface, easily usable controls, and great video output quality.
There is a somewhat learning curve that needs to be overcome, and as is usual with Adobe products, there is no embedded or built in help or tutorials. This makes the beginning of use very hard and can easily deter people with little video editing skills from continuing to use the product.
Editing videos for social media, products and clients' needs.
I love using Adobe Premier Pro for video editing and light audio edits. This platform is the standard within my industry and I find that after the brief learning curve, you can create professional quality video cuts using this software. Once you get over the learning curve, you can easily create high quality video cuts with ease and efficiency. I love that you can create several different cuts within a project, specially if you are looking to create a short and a long cut of a video or several different versions of a video using the same footage. You also have adjustment capabilities using Lumitri Effects, like color balance, exposure, saturation etc. You can also create or upload LUTS to apply to video footage for color grading purposes.
Adobe Premier Pro is a great platform for video editing, but it does require quite a bit of education and training prior to use. While I find this to be use friendly since I have been using this for years now, it isn't the easiest software to pick up easily and learn. I would say that while I do expect a professional video editing software to have all of the capabilities that I could possibly need, I have definitely pursued additional education to learn how to us this software better- it isn't very intuitive and in the beginning it can be frustrating to use until you learn more about the software.
Professional quality video editing, color grading and adjustments. Upholding industry standards in professional quality video editing and grading.
The incredible array of video editing options! You absolutely can do it all from editing short videos to full-length feature films! Tools, presets, animations... so much at your disposal!
It is not the easiest software to work with. It definitely takes time and patience to learn the ins and outs.
I'm editing the videos for my personal vlogs and other job commissions.
Easy to use, nice interface; contains most of the tools and techniques that. need for video editing. Lots of help from Adobe
There's nothing I dislike about it. Works as expected
Students using Premiere to create and edit videos. Benefits include ease of use and integration with other Adobe CC apps. Variety of export options including .mp4.
Adobe premiere pro is a great video editing software. Why? Because it's easy to use, has many great features, and even has cloud saving for some files.
I think my least favorite thing about premiere pro is that it crashes every once in a while. I would recommend saving often.
I have solved sales issues with premiere pro. The software has allowed me to better market myself and that has been very useful. The benefits are that the software can be used by anyone really.
Premiere Pro is what I like to calk a raw editor, you can edit and tweak a video how you want and like it. It was easy to learn, the develop more advanced skills.
There is not much to really dislike, I just wished they gave some free templates and assets that you could use.
Adobe premiere has create a work environment where all of my teams is using the same editing software, this allows us to quickly pick up and continue on a project if some is unwell or left.
Simply put, Premiere has become the best because it works the best. Few bugs, minimal errors, and an easy render process make it the best. Other editors like Vegas and Final Cut had their strengths, but cannot hope to match the stability and support that Adobe offers. If Premiere crashes, or has a bug, it gets fixed, period. There's no waiting around, no errors the user has to try to avoid -- the program just WORKS.
Premiere has a few limitations that users from other NLE's will find glaring. It's pan/crop tools are nonexistent. Rather than allowing the frame to be changed in an easy dialog box, one must apply a video effect for crop, and cannot add an anamorphic/'black bars' overlay without importing a whole other Photoshop file to add a track above. These additions, in my opinion, should be included in the Effect Controls > Motion category of any given event on the timeline. Instead, you have to go out of your way to add a film crop.
I use Premiere as a turnkey solution for weekly editing projects, where a fast turnaround and professional product is needed. The program's speed and stability make it an ideal candidate for fast turnaround, with minimal troubleshooting needed to achieve a final, stable product. The largest benefit is the inclusion of Media Encoder, which allows me to queue my rendering and continue editing while the files are processed in another application. This allows incremental edits to be made while a draft is still being produced for air.
