Some of the data sources like Mailchimp are in multiple different data lists. It makes it difficult to get the right data because you don't know which one is the right one for what you are trying to pull.
I use Supermetrics to create my monthly reports for clients marketing programs. I can create a one-page snapshot for all the different elements of the program like website data, email data, Ad data, and Social Media data creating a complete picture of how the program is doing in one place. It's so much easier to review when I am not flipping through multiple reports from different sources and having to bypass information that we just don't need. Once the report is setup it never has to be done again just change the dates to review a different time period.
Supermetrics is the BEST platform for pulling data from ad platforms into Google Data Studio and Google Sheets
The Shopify Connector is really slow, and doesn't work for Google Data Studio if you have a large website. The connector for Google sheets works but is really slow. The pricing just went up which is understandable but I miss the option to pay for an unlimited license and not have to pay for additional connections.
Supermetrics helps save time by creating reports that my superiors can easily access and analyze data to make decisions for their business without me having to manually create reports each week/month. Supermetrics also provides the ability to visualize data in a way that's just not available within ad platforms which is essential if you want to set yourself apart as a marketer.
I love the ability to effortlessly create engaging dashboards, combine data sources, and create meaningful data visualizations that help quantify data and turn it into actionable insights. There is no shortage of data in digital marketing, so having this ability is massively important in my business.
Sometimes it's slow to load, but it's a lot of data being synthesized at once, so I get it.
The biggest problem I had when I arrived at Supermetrics was a customizable reporting solution. Every reporting solution was highly overpriced and rigid. I wanted to customize my data sets and display what I wanted to show, not a cookie cutter template.

Automated reporting for Facebook and LinkedIn Ads. Enhanced Search Console Reports. The software helped us to add a lot of value to our existing clients and win more analytics projects.
I can integrate almost all online media services in one place, only with this tool. Easy to use and fast to learn. It's way ahead of its competitors.
I can't say it's expensive, but in my case, it demands some effort because of the currency. The Brazilian Real is undervalued nowadays.

I work at a marketing agency managing loads of different clients on ongoing or campaign basis. In our campaigns we frequently use multiple marketing channels (G-Ads, various social channels) and we use Google Data Studio to report on these campaigns to our clients. Supermetrics is being used to pull the data from the platforms into Google Sheets, so we can build our dashboards on top of that. I know that there is also an direct connector to Data Studio, but with Sheets in between we have more control over the data.
I like the fact that I customize the data before entering it into my sheets, apply filters and then create automatics reports for clients and internal teams.
The service is not intuitive and requires some introductory training period.

for some of my colleagues who aren't very analytical or technical, they didn't know what to do with the data after pulling it into Google Sheets and Google Data Studio. There was a learning curve. It would be better if Supermetrics could provide more templates or human-assisted onboarding. Also, when I first told by their sales that with Supermetrics I could get everything Datorama offers at a fraction of the price, I thought it was too good to be true :)

I use super metrics in google sheets and the add on in sheets has got to be my favorite part. Selecting the data to import and refresh schedule is just about as easy as it gets.
I wish I could schedule specific queries in a single sheet. Can’t do that right now. Can only schedule every query to refresh at certain times.

SuperMetrics has the ability to pull real-time reporting from numerous channels and marketing avenues into a live Google Sheet. The ability to add numerous data sources and customize the reporting is extremely useful for in-house and external purposes.
It would be great if there were more options for filtering metrics. Analytics data is great to integrate but the filtering options are limited.
Shared documents that clients can access at any point to have updated, real-time data. Clients have stated the use and efficiency is excellent and easy to access on a regular basis.
See title. All the data you could ever need is in one place. Want code out of the search console API? you got it. Want to compare it to google analytics data? Easy! Want to throw in some social and adwords data to create a custom, complex, weighted algorithm for a complete top-of-funnel metric? piece of cake! Basically, if you want to take advantage of some technically complex API's (for the non-develoepr) and you don't want to learn the commands for dozens of APIs, Supermetrics is THE tool.
While this is THE tool for getting data, learning how the queries work in sheets takes a bit of time and trial and error. I haven't the hardest time modifying queries when I'm hovering over one and switch to another. It can be tough to tell if I'm modifying a different query and sometimes it just doesn't seem to register. Once you know the ins and outs, it gets easier but there can be a learning curve for some of the more advanced usages.
The one thing that I use this the most for is creating automated reports combined with Data Studio. For our monthly reports we pull everything non-Google Analytics into Google sheets (especially the types of metrics that need to be calculated) and then display it in Data Studio. If you need to automate monthly reports, SuperMetrics is a MUST
