Trainual Pros and Cons

- Extensive integrations with HRIS/payroll, file/content tools, and SSO providers.
- Built-in AI to surface context from your knowledge sources.
- Solid mobile support, version history, and in-app translation.
- Not a full project management tool; lacks complex task dependencies and Gantt-style workflows.
- No permanent free plan; only a 7-day free trial.

Trainual is intuitive and easy to use. The system makes it simple to drag and drop items.
Trainual isn't as pretty as some of the other sites, but it has the same functionality.
Training for all levels of our company. We are looking to pre-qualify people for moving up in our company.
I like how easy it is to quickly add a step-by-step process that anyone can use. Trainual also easily allows you to embed videos so users can easily see examples of an action being performed.
Trainual is not a robust as it could be. There should be image integration within the testing (adding specific images for answers instead of text). It is a
Training is inconsistent between trainers. Trainual allows every process to be centralized and referenced in a consistent manner. Lastly it saves time that would be spent telling a teammate how to do a task, they can refer to trainual.
The modules are basic and easy to understand.
Cannot see individual scores on tests and also cannot have a tiered hierarchy for several modules. Was trying to use for product training and it would be a cluster with several modules.
We are using it for simple tests proving people are reading books.
I love that Trianual allows us to cut our on-boarding time in half. before it we did long meetings and long strategy sessions to hire new employees. Now the process has been revolutionized over night with Trainual. We couldn't be happier.
I dislike that I did not hear about Trianual sooner. I could have saved myself so much time if I knew about this software before.
We use Trainual to onboard employees.
Having one training location for team to get thier information
uploading pictures sometimes is not very friendly
multiple dropbox files.. more organized training
Easy to use and easy to update. Great for on-boarding.
Little clunky sometimes in how you can set up trainings.
Great onboarding tool and nice to have to reference organization-wide material.
Super easy to update! I love being able to attach and link out, too.
Difficult to get started - the UI is a little tricky to get up and running.
Consistent onboarding and information sharing like logins, resources, etc.
easy to compile important information to share with employees to help them get familiar with company policies and responsibilities
difficult interface with long load times
teaching important info to new employees
Place to logically house processes for the company in logical format
Can't search for employees -- no off the shelf training content -- no manager hierarchy to track each department's completion
onboarding easy as we have onboarding classes complete with videos.
Quick and easy to search for instructions and explanations for my employees while they are working.
Trainual recently decided to change how we're able to categorize and organize our information with no feedback or warning to its users (at least not from my company). They are not giving us the ability to continue using and organizing our information in the way that we already have it set up. So basically we have to change our whole setup to make it work going forward. We're looking for alternatives instead. The mothly fees are way too expensive to be this limited in the use of the software and who knows when they'll make another arbitrary change that makes our account useless.
It doesn't benefit us now and we're looking for a different software to change to. It was great for organizing our processes and general information into an easy to use reference for my employees. Not so much now.
Having a one stop shop for my SOPs. I like that my employees can have the info on an app on their phone.
I am not able to get my employees on board to using Trainual. I don't have the time to make them valuable. I don't have the time to create quizzes.
Onboarding has been improved.
I like the layout and the useability of the platform. It needs to provide more templates and assistance to the user.
Trainual is a good system but needs to assist the user more, to gain engagement and to make use of our aspects of the platform.
We are solving the problem of job awareness and screen recording.
Having all orientation and training info in one place and easy to navigate.
Minor issues occur regularly. I have had to contact the support team multiple times because my employees get stuck on a topic and it won't let them continue.
It takes a lot of time to train someone face to face. It's much simpler to have everything in one place on a website where you can simply send the information to new employees and have them complete it.
Trainual is great for all employees to get training on the roles they need, and not on the roles they don't
It takes some practice to create a task/process correctly
Solving problems or getting the same questions over and over and having to answer it. now can just direct them to the appropriate training.
No one has to train on how to use trainual! It's very user-friendly. It's a one stop shop. It's easy to add a process (with pictures!) if there isn't one created already. I also like that you can break it down into steps. So every part of the process is clear what needs to be done before you can proceed. More, more, more, more, more.
That when I create a process I'm still prompted to take the course. I think it's a bit over prices and we never received any training so based off this survey I would say we're only using a small portion of what all it could do. This survey has shown me we are probably only using a 10th of what trainual could do but I don't even know where to look. I'm also a bit annoyed with the length of this survey. More, more, more, more, more.
One spot for everything. If someone has a question they know where to look, or where to search. And it's easy for them to add a process if one isn't created. It reminds users to take the tests/processes they haven't completed. And shows me as the administrator what answers they missed and how many times they had to take the test. More, more, more, more, more.
Once everything is configured, you don't have to do anymore with it until you need to update the curriculum and set up new users.
The Users List refreshes itself with every click; about half of my clients are not able to receive the Trainual Welcome Email due to either restrictions imposed by their IT, or they are not on Trainual's whitelist.
We are able to force folks to actually pay attention to the material we are training on by utilizing the tests and the forced order sequences.
i like the simplicity and the parameters
the many steps and the fact that I was not able to get a quick response initially
staff training and its effectiveness
Keep you organized. And can share files and info with your team.
It is not very sharp, the app on my phone is very slow to recognize the search I am searching for, I need to get to to my files fast when at a meeting, have to search few times to get the search I am looking for. It's very inconvininet. I can't add or edit from my app easliy at all.
Has all our Realestate listings in details in one location.
